  1. Sometimes when people are dying, they can't do anything for themselves. They are like babies again. They have lost all independence and even the ability to do simple tasks for themselves. They are stuck on pain-killing drips while they lie in their beds shitting themselves. It gets to the point where you just want to die and, perhaps, take a few of the people who say they should just suck it up with them.

Disagreeing with some practice or belief is not "reviling'.  Calling people who disagree "revilers" is just a way to shut down debate or disagreement, much like liberals who call anyone who disagrees with M103 "racists" or bigots.

If you discriminate against someone by refusing to do business with them, it is not "disagreeing with some practice or belief." It's also not practising your religion. It's discrimination. Unless, perhaps, you refuse to do business with all sinners equally.

I find it ironic to see President Trump and Maude Barlow singing from the same page. Strange bedfellows.

Not really, considering Trump is in no way a conservative. His ideology just takes the shape of the last person he talked to. He can be in favour of gun control one minute and against it the next, which is just fine for his supporters, who also don't have any detailed ideology to speak of and just want a leader who they think hates liberals as much as them.

  4. Again, people can revile all they want, but if they say they are doing so under the guidance of God's word, that is blasphemy. So-called Christians use contemptuous language to describe their gay neighbours and use misquoted texts from the Bible to justify refusing to do business with them. This is a sin on par with being a catamite, as cited in your post.  If they were actually adhering to their religious belief, they would love their neighbour and let God judge them.

    Talking about yourself?

Didn't you revile Christians who try to adhere to their Scriptures as, "fake Christians?"  Whose tone drips with contempt???  You definitely fit the definition of a reviler, according to Google:

Revile - criticize in an abusive or angrily insulting manner.

    synonyms: criticize, censure, condemn, attack, inveigh against, rail against, castigate, lambaste, denounce;
    slander, libel, malign, vilify, abuse

Don't use words you don't know.  It could backfire.

Since you seem to have latched on to that word, "revile,"  you should read and memorize this..... Jesus talking to His followers:

    Matthew 5:11

“Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.

If any non-religious ever imagine you can shame a disciple of Christ into conformity to your own  ideas.....nix that silly ignorant assumption.  Jesus had already foreseen that ploy, and has already equipped His followers against it!

You realize you are saying homosexuals are blessed when sinners like you revile them?

I may be a sinner and revile others but I don't claim it's God's work to do so. That's why I consider such people fake Christians.

There is no fake Christianity involved.  Believers are called to follow the Bible which expressly condemns homosexuality. It's as simple as that.  It's wrong to try to force people to do something against their conscience.

And yet the Bible also condemns revilers. Discriminating against a group of people is reviling them, which is a sin. You are justifying their sin because of somebody else's sin? That makes no sense.

I'm not forcing you to accept what I'd given.  I referred to the New Testament.  There are several verses (from the Old and New) that are consistently talking about homosexuality - along with the description of the sexual act!

Take it, or leave it.  Let's get back on topic.

No matter how you want to interpret the Bible - your belief is yours.  That goes for every Christian.

If you're a baker - no one is trying to force you to not cater to SSM.  How you want to practice your belief is your choice.

However......it's not for you to dictate how others should practice their belief.

You've already demonstrated that you have to actually change God's words in order to justify reviling homosexuals. And you can't use misrepresentations of the Bible to justify discrimination.

We don't need emojis to indicate we're emotional.  I could tell by your language, and your tone. Your emotions overcome you, that you even failed to read the snip I gave you.   Homosexuality is lumped  there with all the others that are mentioned in the Commandments.

Homosexuality is not lumped into the commandments. God chose to have a specific commandment against adultery. He chose NOT to have one about homosexuality. YOU chose to CHANGE His Word from "catamites" (which refers to a form of pedophilia) to "homosexuals" to justify your contempt of same-sex adult couples. This is against the actual COMMANDMENT "Thou shalt not bear false witness."

Look up catamites, look up the real text you are quoting (all you have to do is press the footnote number link beside the term "homosexuals" in your post. It links to the weaselly clarification "that is, catamites"), and then REPENT, SINNER!

  9. 1 minute ago, betsy said:

You're too emotional to discuss rationally right now.  I'll give you time to compose yourself and read again.

And adultery is indeed against the commandments. Saying homosexuality is the same is a lie. There is no such commandment about homosexuality. You should ask God for forgiveness for lying about his Word.

What makes you think I'm emotional? I didn't even use any emojis.

Surely you don't think it's only the 10 Commandments that are to be followed? Homosexuality is right up there alongside adultery and idolatry!

A sin is a sin.  It is an offense against God.

Then why were you quoting about commandments? Are you misrepresenting God's commandments to justify your contempt for your neighbour? That is a sin!

I can say the same thing:

We should not allow evil people to mislabel Christianity and claim it as their own, as this has caused others to think it's an ugly hateful agenda and it is in reality quite beautiful.

Contrary to what others who hadn't really read the Bible try to sell, there is nothing hateful about not wanting to offend God, and trying to adhere to His stipulations.  OBEDIENCE is right up there with the very first commandment!

Here.  Read it! Jesus Christ did not change anything about the law!

    Matthew 5:17-20

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Don't bear false witness trying to tell me a commandment was broken.

Let's not get all tied up in a knot over something that's not about us, personally.   Even if we are gay!   Like as if the world hangs on our personal "wisdom," and every word we say.

What you think.....and what you resent......... isn't the issue.

I believe I am still allowed to express my opinion and call a fake a fake. It's important that we not allow evil people to mislabel Christianity and claim it as their own, as this has caused others to think it's an ugly hateful agenda and it is in reality quite beautiful.

Trump redacted what exactly? I would think it was redacted by the CIA or FBI. Are they no longer trustworthy, or is it just when it's not convenient to the anti-Trump narrative.
Also, so what if it's Saturday. Seems to be that pushing anti-American propaganda is a full-time job.

    Anti-American? Those are weasel words.
