  1. OK I tried an intelligent conversation but it worked out as usual in these cases, with a load of random trash and complete ignorance of the argument. Not a problem. You're as free to f*ck your brain as you like. The choice was yours. In the meantime, the lying buffoon continues to assist his buddy the Russia thug by repeating nonsensical lies that someone else but Putin can be responsible for Putin's abhorrent crimes (Bet-David podcast today, compare to OP almost word for word). Putin is not responsible for his invasion; but Biden and Zelensky are. Bizarre, alien logic. Let's see it for what it its: it's a psycho talking. No less and not a grain less. Psycho cannot be responsible for anything he does - the world around him is. Only a reminder: this never happened in America before. And we knew everything. Sanity exists for a reason.
  2. You are repeating it stubbornly only to ignore the fact that his actions emboldened Putin to behave more aggressively. Focusing on a coincidence, superficial detail ahead of understanding the course of events. After the election and Jan 6 fallout (that's one), the first half of 2021 was about chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan that Trump engineered single-handedly by hanging Afghan government in the air and pulling the rug from under the coalition efforts. That would be two. Before that was weakening of presence and withdrawal from Syria, Putin's key ally in the Middle East. Three. Theatrics didn't matter. Trump didn't defeat Putin's mercenaries it were the marines and their support led by Gen Mattis who later had to leave. He didn't give Ukraine any more assistance than Obama administration before him, these facts can be found readily. But he threatened to withdraw America's (not his personal but does he know the difference?) support for if his personal requests weren't met. Four. And at the time the withdrawal was happening in late summer of 2021 Putin already started building up his army around Ukraine. In the fall preparations for the invasion became apparent and in December Putin set his ultimatum to NATO, that included demands to withdraw from Baltic states. You can fool your brain but not the facts. The liar ran away from every encounter with Vlad and everything else is only hot air lies for the weak of mind. Look at what's real. It's right before your eyes.
  3. This is a near-perfect example of the "fairy tale reality" problem. Is there a promise that any problem, especially those where precarious balance is involved with a possibility of a precipitous change if/when tipped be solved by "mitigation" (that usually means controlling a part of the effect and hoping that the rest would fix itself, anyhow). Who gave us that promise, though? Next is the argument, someone should do it but not us. Clearly it hinges on the presumption "I can pick my own excuses but at the same time endowed with a privilege (given by who, from where) to judge others for their". I am special but Joe is not. Would it work? How likely? So other than finding a way to contribute to the solution of a common problem in a meaningful way, we're down to "mitigation" with everyone free to interpret it however it suits them down to communal prayers. How much chance that serious, planet-scale problem can be solved that way?
  4. You pointed nothing. Acts, performances have zero value. What matters is the facts: the reality. With Trump and the results of his activities Vlad felt emboldened enough to set ultimatums to the West and NATO. His withdrawals and apparent general weakness of the West nudged the thug to bolder actions. And folks like you want to make themselves believe that shallow theatrics could mean anything to thugs like Vlad or Kim.
  5. But we are not there anymore. It's the law of the numbers. If 70% want to believe a fairy tale you've got yourself a fairy tale in place of the reality.
  6. There's that sad idea that once intelligence advances beyond a certain level it can be easier to make oneself believe in pleasant unreality than to act accordingly to unpleasant reality. That is, substitute the reality with a nice mental picture and hope it'll all fix itself somehow in the meanwhile. Next of course, there will be all kind of smart folk who would figure out how to use this trait for a nice and cozy benefit, not to mention the common goodness how else. The two play in lockstep. You figure out what comes next.
  7. And where would be the part about opposing it, be found in this case? Read the OP: he criticized the very fact of standing to the thug, refusing to give in to his demands. In a blatant and dangerous break with the long-standing tradition of unity in America, facing a real threat. That's called "opposing" - in what language? And which universe? Perhaps with "of course" so obvious, you can find quotes of leaders of the free world addressing Hitler that way, "genius", "savvy", "very good relationship"? Do try it - for yourself mostly, only to see if you're still in the sane reality.
  8. Does that wisdom relate to Hitler and his bunch? But that's the direction in which repeating brainless lies will take you. Now you know. Still have a chance to think about it if it suits you. Sanity is a choice, just as the absence of it.
  9. No, you want to not see the facts plain and obvious even when they are glaring at you. A mental game. Why? That's simple: because they wouldn't be compatible with your fixed mental patterns and fetishes. "Tough" on Vlad, the international thug want to make yourself believe? And calling him "a genius", "savvy" and a very good buddy, at the same time? Both can't be true at the same time and your brain, it knows it: no just can't be true. The brain, it either works or it doesn't. And you've got to choose one. Plays won't and don't solve this kind of conundrums. Good luck.
  10. This isn't a great situation. Democracy cannot work with one side only. A political system created in and for the 18th century will not last forever without serious maintenance. Yet, in this election here, there's only one sane choice. Anyone with a grain of memory, honesty and integrity has to admit it at least to themselves. No need of any publicity, and little to be proud about. America deserves better, and should have done better.
  11. Absurd is shutting off your brain to not see and understand obvious reality. How smart or forget it, plain sane is to ignore it? We have thug A who is a close ally of thug B. Who of them is a bigger and worse one, we should already know, by now. You want to show something to B but you warn A awhile ahead. What do you think was going to happen? Something destroyed? OK, back then at that time it could pass for plausible, 'agreements', etc. But now, we have seen and know more, way more: "Genius". "Savvy". "Very good relationship with warranted war criminal". It's still the same individual so what's in for him? What is it here what folks like you fail to see here? It's in plain text and sight right before your eyes. But that still needs a working brain, right.
  12. "Tough" off the lying tongue means something different in the reality: cowering to them and being ready to hand them all they're asking for. Trust your eyes and your brain. Sanity exists for a reason.
  13. The user here reminded me of another factual story, thanks. In 2017, after a heinous chemical attack by Syrian government led by war criminal thug Assad, a close associate of another war criminal thug - could it be a mere coincidence? - the ostensibly "tough" president ordered a strike on the Syrian airfield from which criminal attacks on civilian population were launched. With one essential caveat though: Vlad (the thug) received a several hours lead on the strike, and could you believe it? immediately passed it on to his buddy, the Syrian thug. The result? Guess it. 59 Tomahawks wasted on an empty area, but with an appearance of great "toughness". Three years of "weak" Joe: and the thug forgot how to say "NATO" - a total memory wipe. Four years of "tough" leader - the thugs advance in Syria and Afghanistan, feel emboldened to launch a full scale invasion in Europe. Trust your eyes, not the lies of a twisty tongue. Sanity exists for a reason.
  14. Let's look at the latest events in Ukraine: - Russians suffered serious setback in the North of Ukraine having been pushed out of important positions with high losses. - Elimination of Russian forces in the Russian region of Kursk ongoing, providing much needed relief to the pressure in other fronts. - In the first combat experience, Ukrainian F-16 supplied by the allies destroyed Russian bomber. None of that looks good for Vlad, world-infamous war criminal thug. Will he be looking to who? which of his buddies to get him out of the pickle he set himself by his own criminal acts? We cannot ignore that we see and know. Sanity matters.
  15. Somewhere around the 60s of the last century the global situation changed. West experienced a period of growth and prosperity; the flow of immigration from Western countries, with similar culture traditions including democratic, all but ceased. That was the time for a serious national conversation: to change and adapt, build an agile and dynamic national state; or continue the expansion model, just find sources of cheap labor elsewhere. Where, though? The options are limited: third world; conflict zones. There's no keeping the centuries old model without becoming entangled into other people's conflicts and repatriating them here. What I would like to see though is credible alternatives. In the traditional Canadian ruling duo, there's a perfect consensus: none are needed, or even worthy of a serious consideration. They, both and pretty much equally just want to drag it on as long as it can be kicked and squeezed and they sure have offshore options. How will it play out for the rest of the residents here is a good question. But we don't like this kind of challenges, pack of beer a hockey game and it'll sure figure itself out somehow. Will it? Did someone promise us that?
  16. Do constitutions apply to our beloved orange non-stop-lying idols? Can one agree to something they have little clue about?
  17. appending an essential conclusion of this sentence: "because cracks like us have no regard for the sanity and just can't get what it is and why it exists".
  18. Sanity is even more basic than patriotism. It's great to be a patriot, and one has to be sane as well. There's only one sane choice here. Everybody has seen that. Everybody knows that. And there's no escaping that, except at the cost of sanity itself.
  19. Look, to be seen seriously you have to understand the notions like objectivity and facts. Otherwise you wouldn't be any better than the lying cult - they make their "facts" and you, yours. On a whim. There's a difference between trying to eliminate a political opponent, and someone who tried, and repeatedly, to kill you. Do you understand it? The latter is called "self-defense", while the former, criminal. Having a political cause is not a crime. Quebec had two or three? independence referendums, that was not a valid cause to persecute or eliminate political leaders of PQ. Do you understand such obvious matters? or just couldn't care, like the lying cult on the opposite side?
  20. Some just wouldn't know the difference anymore. I don't feel for them and have no excuses for those. It was a choice, conscious and voluntary. They had a brain and knew everything. No excuses.
  21. Truth, reality, honesty, principles. Sanity. They exist for a reason. It costs to forget that.
  22. We are already in the age of fairy tale politics. Just promise them everything and why wouldn't you? All your problems solved just sign here. But a shell of democracy will not last forever. No miracles like that, in the real world.
  23. Reason; facts; truth; responsibility. They are real. They exist for a reason. And this is what the mob that has given itself to the insane just can't deflect, bounce off or imitate. Let it try, again and again. Let's see it.
  24. And the most obvious, telling part is: for the cultmob folk it's beyond the line of not even intelligence, just basic reason and sanity. They don't even know why they have to keep throwing up that nonsense, verbal junk. Not a single word of truth or fact. Not a byte of intelligible argument. Just ask them, see for yourself.
  25. There's no better confirmation than can be seen here: rambling random buzz or the reason and even basic sanity. This is what this choice is about. No need to make it any more complicated.
