Dead brains, and wishful thinkers alike will try to pretend now that nothing much has happened. That will change nothing. A watershed line has been crossed. Any mafia boss can be the president, done deal. It's not going anywhere. There will be no easy and happy pedaling back from this.

This 47th election was indeed a historic one. No exaggeration there. It took America outside of democracy field objectively and de facto. For the first time in its independent history and a done, accomplished feat. An individual who attempted to undermine foundations of democracy cannot be its leader. Someone who repeatedly admired and praised the worst totalitarian dictators on the planet cannot be the leader of the free world. Only the objective, factual reality staring out of the mirror. This "victory" happened at the cost of leaving the field of democracy. It means a watershed moment for the society. And there will be no easy and obvious way back to normal. It was a combined product of the utter failure of the formal politics, responsibility for the democracy by both main parties, and the decay of citizenship, reason, vigilance, responsibility. It needed both to happen and both are in the plain view now. If it is ignored and shrugged off the erosion will continue and accelerate. We know and have seen possible destinations. There will be no miracles. A tremendous, formidable task for the responsible part of the society is now to even attempt finding way back, to normal political discourse and renewed democracy. This kind of decay does not heal easily. It's not assured by anything, and would require much thought and work. Don't even dream that another election would fix everything somehow and magically, with no trace and happy ending. This would be a delusion leading to quite possibly, truly nightmarish consequences. Now you know. So, no excuses. P.S. you can see it right here that there isn't a grain of exaggeration. Dumb memes as the only way to express "reasons" and "thoughts", at the time when Vlads and Xis are making plans for the future of the world, all of it. The level of discourse and responsibility. Can you see and smell where it can be going? No miracles here. That much, you knew.

Facts are "delusion"? You've got it. This is exactly what it is. This condition that is.

Well what could one add here? And now it will be the face of America by which the world will assess it. You can't really have it both way, the stupidity and the greatness, can you? How exactly would it look?

I'll make a rare exception commenting this. As you can see, nothing matters: the principles; the right; the rule of law; the justice; liberty: remember who Vlad and Kim are, the geniuses and respected persons?; the integrity; the word of the United States of America; a solemn obligation of the states; truth; honesty; the reality itself. No. All wrong. We won. It pays for everything. Look we knew it all. There were no surprises here. Nobody else can own this. Sure, you knew.

"Just find me those votes" "Vlad is a genius and savvy" (a war criminal under international arrest warrant, instigator of brutal criminal aggression against independent European nation). United States is a formal guarantor of security and territorial integrity of Ukraine. These are all facts. "War is peace". "Truth is a lie" This was written in 1948. You are so boringly, stupidly old and uninteresting. Like a dead interstellar rock in the space of reason. In your brain there flashes of greatness but in this reality you'll only drag yourself into cowering to the worst thugs in the world, without any chance of restoring dignity, credibility and self-respect. Well that was a choice and you sure knew what it means. So no excuses now. You can play any muzak in your brain but there will be no one to hang on the responsibility for the consequences. All yours.

My only contribution here will be to remind the fact of reality that United States of America is a guarantor of safety and territorial integrity, in the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine. This is a formal, solemn obligation signed by the President of the United States. I guess to f-ck-d up brains, and yes by the way it's a fact of reality too, it doesn't matter one bit. Let it all go in flames all at once: rule of law, honesty, dignity, liberty, credibility, self-respect. Why bother? There's greatness as never before, right ahead. What about the citizens though, who recited oaths read those books, with pictures and records? Is it all in the past now, thing done and forgotten? Oh well. It was a cute promise.. these things happen though, don't you agree? All the time actually, the Universe is so old. A shame, but oh well. Now, what were you saying?

The time doesn't stop. And the technology of installing alternate realities into our brains keep perfecting. It used to be just brutality and force. It's way more advanced now. Kudos to us, eh? Except those exist only in the brains - they'll do nothing, not a zilch to the course of the evolution in the real world. No surprises and zero discoveries. It has seen it all.

No need for warnings and prophesies now. "1984" is unfolding right before our eyes in the post-reality world. No worries. No regrets and excuses. We knew everything. We saw it all. And we chose it. Bring it on.

America has grown tired of carrying the torch. We understand. It happened. It happened this time not through some terrible calamity, no great recession no desperate decline. It just happened. Boredom. Tiredness, absence of paths forward, dimmed hopes. Well, the reasons and causes can be many but the exam is done and there results are in. They do not lie: about a half of the nation are ready to accept and/or embrace fascism, in the right form if it's wrapped in the right posturing and rhetoric. And one more time: this is the reality. Factual. A half of the nation is ready to embrace fascism. Numbers don't lie. Where do we go from here? Hope for another election? "Better connect with voters"? Will it work better than the last time? Could it? Not a chance. Sleepwalking into the disaster in the hope that things would fix themselves at the very last moment, somehow, is exactly how the world ended up in a big trouble the last time. Back then, to remind, it was a world without nukes, gigantic stockpiles of it and brutal and ruthless totalitarian dictatorships ready to use them to redraw the maps and rules of the world. Someone is frightened to peek out the window? Or will double down on the belief and worshiping of false prophets promising the salvation out of deep throats? And you need those votes, right? So you can't say it, the real state of affairs, the truth and will slide further and down in the vain hopes that will melt and evaporate with each passing day? That would be exactly what you did the last time. Not sorry to break it: it doesn't work. And it will not. One cannot overcome a change and a challenge of this magnitude by ignoring it, looking the other way and playing happy tunes. It would only be an illustration and manifestation of the underlying cause of this conundrum, as always: it rose because nothing was left standing to it. The rules, conventions and traditions of the past eroded rusted and fell apart gradually but surely one by one. And nothing new came up, was built thoughtfully and persistently to replace them. All the way until, out of the blue, one deep throat of a common demagogue - not even a master of the genre as they come, was enough to bring it all down. All the while you were coasting in self-imposed illusion that something drawn on paper could last indefinitely. Even the last chance offered by the time you blew blissfully, without as much as a flicker of a thought. So no, small chance that it would work now. No miracle escapes and cures in these cases. One possibility one could think of is an open national conversation, with a simple, clear topic: should we become a fascist nation? Are we ready to walk this path, from words that were spoken and are a fact now, all the way to reality? Not everyone would like it. Some will try to ignore or rejected with near-infinite number of reasons and excuses. That changes nothing. No election, no miracles will fix this problem easily now, at this stage. And ignoring it will almost certainly help it progress to the final ones. Now that you know it (it was in the book all along but you forgot) it's in your hands to make use of it - or ignore and squander yet again. A free choice. And there would be nothing new in it for the history that can't even recall the number of times it seen it happen. Nothing lasts forever in the entropy world. Things that need to be standing require constant and persistent thought, care and work. How easy to remember it. And so easy to forget.

Before absolute comes "unchecked". That could be a more immediate concern. So what would be an objective assessment of that given that one of the two principal political institutions has essentially folded to an authoritarian personality cult with very little room for independent opinion and positions left? The party can become an integral part of the cult, just like Hitlers and this is a very real, present possibility. Then it's down to individuals, and those who tried to stand can be removed one by one we have seen it. These are no exaggerations. America has not become a fascist state yet, but it's pondering and preparing itself to embrace it. Think about it now. All the bells have rung and all the signs are there.

How much worse can they get before they are really bad and very much, irreversible? Can one admire someone like Putin or Kim, true modern fascists and totalitarian tyrants and stand to them at the same time? This is the split personality disorder, can't you see? It's psychotic a serious condition calls for immediate treatment. And this is the state of America's public as of today, the current diagnosis, no exaggerations. So how much worse should it be allowed to get, for the citizens to notice? Well, this is the reality. And the path will unfold from here dreams and wishes books about glorious past matter not one bit.

Abstractions won't change much here, in this particular and specific case. Was it just another election? Should mafia bosses, gang leaders, corrupt cult gurus become regular and common presidential candidates to avoid the law and gain power? "Find me those votes, quick!" a normal, should we call it madurian election strategy? Should it be the normal practice for leaders of democracies (the claim for moral leadership of the free world is past now, obviously) to praise and cower to the worse dictator scum of the planet? What isn't fact here? Where are exaggerations? What political environment will (not would, note) this precedent create, for the observable perspective? Is it worse to let people know what they are dealing with? These are very real, practical questions that (can) will have real and objective consequences. Nothing is abstract here. What are the answers, where? Should we just pretend they don't exist, right until the next time? Can we? No concerns here. The reality can never be wrong. And it is important that whatever people chose they knew what it was. If only for the record in history. There were many bells and warnings that this direction is risky and dangerous. And evolution has zero regard for laziness, weakness and excuses.

They want to forget instantly, like nothing happened. Like any decent mob boss could not be elected the president, from this point on. Like anyone who's up to it couldn't just order extra votes, any number they need going forward, all charges dropped. Full reset except when and if we need it again, and more. Watch for this tune now. No way these cute tricks can be played with the evolution. But we can fool ourselves again and again, any time. Sure, we knew.

German political elites, aristocracy, industrialists thought they could control Hitler and run him their way to their ends. Except he knew better. He had a cult and they didn't. So they folded one by one: judiciary, police, politicians, Senate or perished. All. Till nothing was standing, to the cult. Inability to learn is a grave condition in evolution where nothing is promised or guaranteed forever, ever. Warning bells and chances to see and think and take responsibility were many. So, no excuses now. On your way.

And so, they'll keep coming. Sure. Done deal.

They can and they did. One only needs working eyes and memory to know and see the definition, live.

Iran, Venezuela, .. Russia, China... North Korea, "a very honorable person", remember? why couldn't they have democracy? Another "election", another "connection" a great democratic leader and - what? a miracle? It happens in this world, right? But we made sure that this time around, there will be no simply naive and innocent. Not a chance - we knew everything and we chose deliberately and in full knowledge. So no innocent escapes. So we know it: they won't have democracy because there are no citizens. Tricks and rituals will do nothing for democracy until citizens come or return be it a century, five, millennia or never. No naive excuses. No miracles. Citizens make democracies work and they can drop them to dry and wither. It happened not once. Yes, a fact of history. And a choice, free and fair. And we chose. So own it - no silly pathetic innocence games, now. Miracles will be far and wide to come by. Sure, you knew.

The assumption of voter's democracy is entirely wrong: factually. Italy elected fascists. Germany elected Nazis. The numbers don't always make right. How blind or is it dumb deliberately? one has to be no fail to admit the facts of reality? The nature of the state and the government, the political system eventually is determined by who votes. There's no universal connection of any agenda with any group of voters by some magical or "correct" political trick. This is such a funny misconception, rather entitled self-deception that spread only as a result of two-three generations of relative stability and prosperity. This is all it took to forget all and everything, a complete memory wipe. But no. Not a chance. Democracy is not a magical wishing well. It's a political habitat of citizens who are prepared and have committed to exercising reason, responsibility and certain general rules for shared progress and prosperity. There are options that a reasonable and responsible citizen will not consider. Yes there's that line. And as soon as this commitment is void that's it: you can have all kind of rituals, chant old incantations but the democracy is gone - with the reason and responsibility. Simple. No magic, no tricks. The stupedest, most ridiculous illusion now is to pretend, trying the impossible to convince yourselves that nothing much has happened, that it could just go away with another "election" or "connection". But look: one had to be pretty far out on that path of unreality to get here, right? So what are the hopes of an instant cure even by this experience? Or should it get another couple of orders of magnitude worse still, to begin to sink in? A mafia boss can be the president of the United States now. It only takes one good election song, that's all. This is new. And it will be like this, this way for as long as you can see and think, until something bigger, perhaps groundbreaking transpired. Until that, you're stuck with this. You chose and created it, with your hands and brains and its yours to own now, no escapes and no miracles. No one around to wipe your a$$ nobody to point fingers to. Can you see it now? The eyes, better? Here you go baby. On your way now.

Let's have fascists define what it means. That'll work like a charm. The thing is, it's a one way street or very near. Easy to get into, finding way out almost impossible without a big, serious trouble. Well, this time around we knew everything. No excuses.

The long struggle of the state with mafia culminated in the late 1980s. Just a generation on, mafia bosses can be elected presidents of the United States with all prosecution dropped. Without the ability to think and act rationally, what future can await? What miracles? We (must) know. No avoiding it. Bring it on.

Mafia boss can be the President of the United States of America. Yes. Stamped and official. All court deadlines cancelled. Why would they stop coming?

I mean, the firsts? Beyond purely rational why wouldn't they, don't you find some bizarre dumb fascination to the question? What else can they do? What a fascinating case. Have you seen it? Wow. Such a tantalizing plot for intelligent aliens. With one if, though. If they managed to do it, the evolution, differently. If they found a different path. If they are safe and comfy in their knowledge and none in it rings even the tiniest and most distant of bells. For them. Happy, free and curious species or even community, commonwealth. Different the keyword and must, though. Obviously. Such a giant, enormous if.

We will see the reality with our eyes. It cannot be blown out of any lying mouth. There's a word for believing that it could. It's called: insanity; delusion. Good that you knew.

I don't think it fits the definition, as yet. What it seems to be now, a nation that is open and ready to embrace it: the only gap and step that remains is to convert the words and claims that were spoken into the reality. With nothing real and solid to prevent it. Could be troubling if someone was thinking and caring. But here's the thing: history couldn't care less about ifs and buts: only the acts and their consequences. You bought it, knowingly and consciously. And the bill will be coming with all the certainty of the Time itself. You can fool yourself, friends and neighbors, simple-minded, weak-minded, throngs and crowds: but no one managed to fool the Time. Of course you knew it. You knew everything. No excuses.
