  1. Like I told you in chat the other night, Michael, my views are changing. I'm leaning Libertarian. How many of my past posts have you read? I'm flattered.
  2. Why can't the MSM tell us the truth instead of trying to manipulate complacent, ignorant Canucks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPJfDw2GY_c#action=share
  3. The Conservatives are the only party that wish to keep firearms in the hands of non-criminals. The other parties vowed to ban firearms from non-criminal use. We all know the laws aren't going to stop criminals, so at least they're interested in allowing us to defend our homes, land, family, and neighbours. And for a large population of Canadians, a firearm means independence to live wherever in Canada we choose. Being a Canadian, from a culture where we used to be able to buy ammunition from the drug store and nobody raised an eyebrow, and kids weren't getting drugged up on prescription medicine and shooting classmates. A time when we could draw whatever we wanted to draw, or write whatever we wanted to write, and we wouldn't be discriminated against. I don't have a choice anymore.
  4. Is that like when he stated in the debate he would give a tax break to the middle class to lift children out of poverty? He's an absurd candidate who looks more foolish every time he opens his mouth.
  5. The difference is that while on the economic file Mulcair speaks in generalities as well, he does have a specific vision for where he wants to go with the economy i.e. creating more value added, resource based jobs in Canada. Trudeau, on the other hand, is vagarious besides blathering on about defending the middle class, despite not having a clue what being middle class means
  6. Tough week for the Opposition. This was the week they had circled on their calendars for months as Wright was going to reveal the smoking gun that pointed to Harper. Instead, 1. Wright backs up Harper's story under oath. 2. Trudeau has another bozo eruption. 3. Mulcair has two rates for the hired help.
  7. The NDP has been getting a free pass for decades, but now because of the negativity in the electorate they have the protest vote, inflating their numbers. The election campaign still has a long way to go, so now they will get more scrutiny, the free pass is over. Ultimately in an election it comes down to who is more consistent, has more realistic policies, runs a disciplined no gaff local and national campaign.
  8. Finally folks are starting to look more carefully at this bunch. In Quebec, as well, Mulcair has had to deal with protesters the last 4 days because of saying different things in English and in French regarding pipelines and other issues.
  9. What's the difference? Both parties are Statist, both NDP and Liberals believe in top-down-command authoritarian control, both believe in the supremacy of the state above all else including the individual.
  10. Interestingly . . . isn't the NDP normally the party of folks that oppose outsourcing? Isn't this exactly the kind of unintentional result of such outsourcing that the NDP and friends warn about? As the party of central planning and control, does it not behoove the party leadership to make sure that the work they contract out isn't handled by slimy organizations who exploit the workers by paying them the market rate for their services?
  11. "The New Democratic Party believes that the social, economic and political progress of Canada can be assured only by the application of democratic socialist principles to government and the administration of public affairs". From the NDP constitution.
  12. Liberal Socialist believe they are the elite and have every right to take your money and tell you how to run your life.
  13. Conservatives use their own money for charitable things while Progressives organize things so that it is "other people's money"
  14. If the ORPP really is a good, sensible plan, then it should apply to all Ontario workers. Start with those that work for the provincial government. Get rid of their current pensions and enroll them all in the ORPP. I'm sure everyone on the sunshine list would applaud this move.
  15. Enjoy your delusion while it lasts. The last time I checked; investing in road works or other infrastructure did not provide a return on investment other than the physical improvement of said infrastructure. This will suck the life blood out of the economy by removing potential employment income to pay the employer's share of the ORPP and by removing disposable income from the employee's share of the ORPP. I'll stick with the TFSA that does give return on investment, thank you.
  16. Wynne is on record as saying the premiums will help finance her grandiose mass transit program. How is that "investment" going to help seniors in their retirement? (Oh, in Hamilton they may find it easier to get around in the completely unnecessary $1 billion glorified streetcar line that will run down the middle of one of the main streets.) No, "investing" means placing the premiums in various dividend- and interest-paying accounts to help the fund grow, as is done with company pension plans. Is that enough evidence for you?
  17. The Liberal supporters are deluded. All they see is more money for seniors when they retire. I have seen nothing on how this nonsensical pension plan will really affect low-come seniors. If the payments is considered as income it will simply replace most or all of the Guaranteed Income Supplement. The Ontario pensions plan will leave low-income seniors even worse off than now.
  18. What has Harper done to earn my support? Taking terrorism seriously, cutting taxes instead of constantly raising them and most importantly-going head to head with the Wynne government regarding the Ponzi Pension Scam.
  19. Ontario is doomed. With all of the high taxes, fees, rules and regulations, sky high electrical rates, jammed highways and countless other things, all brought to you by the most incompetent politicians in the history of Canada.
  20. Credit downgrades, billions wasted on gas-plant cancellations, e-health, Ornge scandal, MARS building, alternative energy contract scandals, Hydro one mismanagement. Largest debt on the planet. How's that for a return on investment?

Yes, Michael. And the problem is.........

      On Guard for Thee

Oh, I wouldn't call it a problem. We've seen it before. What's up next doc?

Well, these words, as empty as they might be, are at least true.

  21. I disagree. There can't be anyone with an IQ greater than their shoe size that honestly believes this is a good move. ORPP = provincial tax rate increase to fund Wynne's pet projects. The notion that the money is earmarked for infrastructure is hilarious. Every dollar she collects via this "revenue tool" and "invests" in infrastructure frees up another dollar from other "revenue tools" she can hand over (with great joy, no doubt) to the teachers, the OPP, and the other members of god's chosen few.
  22. The Broadbent Institute and union loving Rabble. No wonder so many people here like Mighty Ac and waldo are so grossly misinformed; people believe this nonsense to be true. Canadians are becoming so complacent, and quite simply, dumb and ignorant.
  23. I like Ben Carson. He realizes that political correctness, which represents 90% of the clowns who regularly post here, will get society nowhere.

  24. Some guys who worry about the holidays of teachers sure have a lot of time to post on this forum...right ash?
