The Last Embrace (Roy Scheider. " In 1979, Jonathan Demme was still a cutting-edge director and The Last Embrace was his first effort at a completely commercial assignment. Very much in the Hitchcock vein, The Last Embrace is an intense suspense film concerning Harry Hannan (Roy Scheider), a government agent recovering from a catatonic collapse after the murder of his wife. After Harry's recovery, he is back on the job, but he can't figure out whether he is suffering from self-induced paranoia or if his former employers want to kill him. These conflicting feelings are exacerbated when he forms a connection with a nervous graduate student, Ellie Fabian (Janet Margolin), whom he discovers is living in his apartment.") I'd seen this way back, and enjoyed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFVj-pHrmSo Evasive Action (Roy Scheider. "Santa Ana Federal Penitentiary is closing and five of its most dangerous criminals are to be transferred to the Redwood Maximum Security Prison. When the brakes on the train fail, 200 tons of steel thunder become out of control heading towards Los Angeles train station. As U.S. Marshals try to stop the train from outside, one of the prisoners tries to disengage the last cars to save the passengers. But the rest of the prisoners who want to escape are hunting him down to stop his efforts.") Cohen and Tate (Roy Scheider and Adam Baldwin. "A boy kidnapped by two mismatched hitmen puts them at each other's throats while being driven to their employers, possibly to be killed.")

The Cassandra Crossing (Sophia Loren. When a plague-infected terrorist boards a passenger train to escape capture, authorities at the International Health Organization quarantine the entire train. To prevent anyone from leaving, armed personnel are brought onboard and the windows sealed with metal plates.) Sounds like the cruise ships with corona virus on board! The Innocents (A young governess for two children becomes convinced that the house and grounds are haunted.) Murder, Inc. (Mob movie with Stuart Whitman and Peter Falk). Murder By Natural Causes (from the creators of Columbo)

Thanks to Angus, he got me searching for free movies! I found some free FULL Movies that you folks might enjoy. A lot of old - some black and white, too! Now - it's no longer just trailers that I am checking out. I'm also compiling a list of free full movies I'd want to see. Because they don't cost any, I even want to watch documentaries, and subtitled foreign films. I had to jack up the volume on some of the movies. Here are some full-length movies : Strangers When We Meet (melodrama centers upon the tangled webs woven by a philandering architect and his mistress, who is also his next door neighbor. Kirk Douglas) Heaven Can Wait (Warren Beatty. Mistakenly taken to heaven, the plot centers on how the mistake can be undone) Dear Ruth (WW2 serviceman shows up to meet his pen pal Ruth)

I've been glued to the chick flick genre. I've seen and loved ONCE AROUND with Holly Hunter and Richard Dreyfuss - so I'm quite surprised to learn that they had another flick together, called ALWAYS. It's directed by Speilberg. It's just the trailer........but it's already making me cry!

Thanks to coronavirus, I've been searching for movies and checking their trailers on youtube. I'm trying to compile a list. It's become a favorite past time. Going through youtube has yielded some interesting unknown titles.............................. and rediscovery of forgotten ones! Let me start with this one, Smokin Aces. Never heard of it, and the comment from the viewers who'd seen it seem mostly positive. It's an action/thriller/comedy.

Let’s chat about the atheist religion. Believers in the mainstream god religions often denigrate and discriminate against atheists, non-believers and rival religions on moral grounds. Godless mean without a moral sense to them. I seek a solution to this p

I'm not disagreeing with you that indeed, atheism is a "religion." Dawkins must've been among their Popes or bishops! But.....they do seem to be offended when atheism is referred to as a religion - thus I made that comment.....having fun with the irony of your statement. -
If you live in a democracy, the system allows us to choose the social platforms the candidates offer. We can choose the candidate that represents our values. In that sense, yes we do have the right to enforce our values (through people we elect as leaders) ......same as you have your right to do the same.

Well, I can say I belong to a religious group, but if I don't really practice it (or if I don't really believe in it) - that definitely wouldn't deter me from doing anything I please (and that includes evil)! Self-identification doesn't really matter - we can identify ourselves all we want. We can even delude ourselves to think that we are what we've called ourselves to be! You've seen the movie The Godfather Trilogy, right? Many times? Well - they are "religious," aren't they? This is what you're not getting: WITHOUT FEAR OF GOD (doesn't matter whether you identify as religious or not) - nothing will deter you from doing evil! Well, if you put it that way - you're practicing intolerance too! You're intolerant to those who break our criminal laws - like rapists and murderers! They know the rules! Lol....you're more intolerant and unjust than the God you criticize, if you support................................... ME TOO! All it takes for you guys is for a woman to accuse someone of groping her 20 years ago, and you're all for crucifying the guy without any due process! He's automatically guilty! No one even cares about the family of the guy who end up suffering too - not even the children - they're guilty of "association!" Too bad for them to have had him for their dad! Perhaps, your intolerance now extends to white people, who are automatically bigot until proven otherwise! White people are being made to feel guilty for being what they are - WHITE! I suppose making one's self look black will not go very well, either! And that "nastinest" (to put it mildly) - is done in the name of ......political correctness! It's the "god" these days! Lol. You guys don't even blink about killing a human in his earliest stage of development - like as if being a fetus isn't a stage of development for all human beings! You're like cheering spectators in the colliseum - cheering for more blood! How many unborn humans have you guys tortured and murdered? Don't talk to me about evil, unless you're talking about them! Pro-choice people are up to their eyeballs in blood! And yet here you are - all outraged and spouting off about evil - because believers say the doctrine teaches homosexuality as a sin! Gimme a break! What gives you the right to speak for any sectors of humanity? That'd be like Stalin and Hitler teaching about human rights, and equality and value of human life! Lol. It only shows you folks are so shallow - and, you don't even understand what you're on about! At least I know the fetus is a human being - but really, reading some of the cruel and quite cold posts about the unborn in forums - I can't really tell if those posters are human at all. Being dehumanized and oppressed. It happened to the Jews, and to Blacks. Think....what if it happens to you? GOLDEN RULE rings a bell? So, there, POT. Stop trying to make the kettle black when you're up to your lid in soot! FYI, not all kettles turn black! At least, Christians can say the doctrine teaches us not to slander, not to murder anyone.......................and to be just!

1 Cor 6 9 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men Romans 1 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 1 Timothy 1 9 understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, 10 the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, 11 in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

See how foolishly people like you try to corrupt the Scriptures!n Or.....you utterly lack any comprehension with what you read. here, read this over and over again - maybe, something will click in. “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”" Yes. it was a question about divorce! So - sit back and think. Ask yourself: Who gets divorced, doh? People who are married! The question by the Pharisees may have been about casting aside older wives, but Jesus' answer HIGHLIGHTED God's definition of marriage! He made it clear that God's definition of marriage is a union between a male and a female! Why did He have to explain about genders along with the definition of marriage, if the question is all about getting rid of old wives??? Look at it! If the answer was solely about casting aside wives - What's gender got to do with the question of casting aside old wives??? Jesus' answer really slapped down any ideas that same-sex marriage can also be a marriage recognized by God! Lol, maybe even during that time - some fools were already floating the idea of same-sex marriage! You think Jesus will ever give an IRRELEVANT answer? He probably meant this answer for generations of the distant future - like ours! He probably gave this as a rebuttal to be used by Christian apologists............. like us! He also directly responded to your foolish opinion that same-sex marriage is acceptable in the eyes of God. Here. Just so you don't miss it. He's like talking to you...... "Goddess," (yes, I imagine He must be rolling His eyes with that monicker) Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, "Have you not read........" It's like...... He's questioning whether you really read and understood the Bible!
