I can see that there are more than a few people here spreading false government propaganda in the guise of legitimate opinions. Governments buying insurance is always a SCAM on the citizens and never good for or in the interest of the citizens. It is only in the interest of public business officials so they can defer the risk of loss back onto the citizens and can relly on using the regular taxes in their self-interests. But more importantly insuring government officials against their own wanton pilfering is done to permit them to pilfer with impunity knowing that when (if) they get caught the insurance company will pay what they stole rather than to have to pay the money they stole back. This is the biggest of the two kinds of public scams that insurance companies help facilitate in return for their share of the profit from the pilfering.

Disolve Unecessary Governments
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The Senate is part of an existing gvoernment. It is not a government in its own right and has historical significance and presence. Disolving unecessary government goes towards things like the Second Layer of Muncipal Government in Ontario that they call the Regional Level or Mezanine Layer as a primary example. The Nine Regional Governments of Ontario is the most corrupt and unecessary layer of government that can be easily eliminated alltogether with disbanding and disbarring its non-elected officials from public employment in a heart beat and that won't be missed for any reason historical or otherwise. That is the biggest troth and a magnet layer where the mosst corrupt of the corrupt accumulate as they get weeded out of other layers of government. It is the elite of conmen and tyrants that make their bones in other levels of government and their hole in the wall where they cannot be touched or scrutinized by the public, the press or the elected who have no power over them. -

Release all the crooks in prison and put all the lawyers in prison and there will be a net increase in the number of crooks behind bars. -
You are both obvioulsy very young fellows. So in 20 years or so when you have started to mature, most likely a brain chip implant will be available for you to surf the web unhindered and interact with the world even when your body is in a vegetative state. With a sound mind you might enjoy life for 10, 20 or 30 years after you body is useless. Life is experienced through the brain and not through your body and anyone may tell you at 70 that they feel the same as 20 year olds in their head but their bodies are what is worn out. At that point if you happen to have worked for the government and retired with a huge pension you may plug yourself into the ultimate PC and enjoy years of life beyond the time you imagine now.

Let's look at the more blatant Fraud schenario involving public business officials: The government insures directors and up with fidelity insurance against the individuals committing public fraud by pocketing the taxpayers money in any of the thousands of different ways that they habitually do so. What is your opinion on this system? The concept being that if a public official holding public trust, betrays the public trust and scams a few million here and there alla Enron executive, a claim can be made on the insurer to reimburse the public money stolen. This concept came about and evolved from the concept set up by Sir Alexander Gault in the 1800's to ensure the Canadian Railroad Barrons against their employees stealing the payroll and such that traveled across Canada by steam engines back then. This was adopted by Governments in Canada following the monopolies founded by Sir John A. McDonnald and the rest of the gangs from those days. There are serious problems with this people are overlooking and the scams that have come about over the years are grotesque.

Government is never a business. Any government that claims to be a business... is a public scammer. Government is a self imposed service to the Public that the public pays for by force. It is more akin to enslavement than a client - business arrangment. It can never be considered a business. When insurance companies pay claims they pass on all the losses and make a profit by marking up the losses and pass them on the to public by way of higher premiums. Government should never purchase insurance from a private corporation. Doing so they are scamming the taxpayers by lining the pockets of their friends and family in the Insurance Industry. We the public already cover the losses government sustains by our taxes which go up in response to the expenses and the intentional waste and intentional mismanagement government adminitrators do to pilfer from the public purse. Yes government takes out insurance and its usually used in the context of defrauding the public using insurance scams that cover the tracks of gross public frauds committed by public business officials so that they can get away scott free. I can ellaborate on several such scams involving Insurance Companies as the "gettaway vehicle" for senior crooks with professional public employment.

They happen because we have a corrupt justice system. The justice system serves the legal profession exclusively and not the public. This is the reason most judicial decision are WRONG here. Lawyers cost way too much money for the work they do. The do work worth $10 per hour and charge $500 an hour for it as a rule rather than an exception. People here have a misguided belief that our lawyers and judges are honerable people, when most are not much better than crack addicted gutter sluts, only addicted to MONEY and have no personal integrity or honour in their profession. People with the mistaken belief than we have a legitimate legal system and who know they are innocent will not spend evert last penny they have to prove they are innocent. They trust in the legal system and its (FALSE) honour and (FALSE) integrity and will spend only so much to defend themselves when they know they are innocent. On the other hand the GUILTY and FALSE ACCUSERS will spend everything they must to pervail in court because they know they are GUILTY or LIARS and relly on spending money to get away with their GUILT. Judges and lawyers know this very well and have designed a system that will fleece everyone in the process as much as possible to enrich the legal profession at the expense of the civilian population. There are historical reasons of how Canada allowed this perversion to come about which we can discuss further in this line of thread as the discussions unfould. Good and timely topic. -
Government taking out insurance by paying private insurance companies tends to be a scam. Insurance in practice is the art of spreading the risk to many policy holders and making a profit based on the amount of losses incurred, the losses incured in one year sets the premiums (plus mark-up) they charge next year so that Insurance Companies never really can loose money. Therefore when the government buys insurance with public money they are passing the losses back on the backs of the taxpayers since government insured losses get lumped together with private insurance losses setting the price for premiums the public pays. There is no legitimate reason for government at any level to pay for and obtain insurance from a private company for anything. It is just another public administratio orchastrated public scam.

Disolve Unecessary Governments
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Our Senate is not a government. We have a lot of unecessary government that should be simply disbanded and removed. The Regional Municipal level of Ontario sticks out like a sore thumb as something that does not belong in the public sector. -
Each person has to be responsible for thier retirement to a certain extent. My father didn't save a penny until he was 58, twenty years later (he just retired) he has enough money to live comfortably for another twenty. Although I do believe that the government should be responsible for assiting seniors so that their income is enough to let them lead a relatively comfortable life. (not having to eat Purina or live without hydro or TV). Canada's basic Canada Pension vs the cost of living here is attrocious. Even the poorest Euro member nation has twise the value for basic pensions which is what the majority of people retire on. Most people did not work for the government nor have union employment. The basic Canada pension of ~$1000 a month or $250 per week is not enough to live on in Canada with our much higher basic cost of living.

Lord Acton never wrote that. The word "gangster" didn't exist in his time. He wrote that "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." If you get such a famous quote wrong, what else have you wrong? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22Lo...G=Google+Search Looks like enough people attribute it to him. Damned good saying, if it was not his. And right on the button with all FACT and REALITY of the matter. It does not take a Brain Surgeon to know this is an absolute TRUISM that cannot be dennied as a truthful, factual, natural human condition. ANOTHER EVEN MORE FAMOUS BANG ON ACTON TRUISM Lord Acton: I cannot accept, .... that we are to judge pope and king (...or judge... or any other person who holds power over others and is NOT ELECTED) unlike other men, with a favorable presumption that they do no wrong. If there is any presumption, it is the other way against holders of power ... Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. The truth of this fact is that the more power one has the more it tends to corrupt them. The only solution is to elected people with power whenever possible so that they can be removed WHEN they start abusing it. (Notice I say WHEN and not IF... since it is rare in humanity to find saints living among us. Any Saints that do come about tend to get killed by other with power who reach the level of demonds by the degree that power corrupts them. So yes it is much more likely that a person with power will be corrupt than it is for them not to be. This is a fact of life people must not forget to remember. What he is in fact saying is that they should be considered GUILTY untill they proove themselves innocent. The presumption is THAT THEY WILL DO WRONG because absolute power WILL corrupt.

You feel this way most likely because you personally don't work very hard for a living especially if you are involved in government. Canadians work harder than any other people on earth. We pay more to government than any other people on earth. Our government takes OUR natural resources and gives it away pocketing this from us as well and when all is said and done we are lucky to get 2 Cents worth of government services for every dollar paid and taken from us from OUR natural resources to line the pockets of government administrators and their monopolist friends. Most people in Canada after having worked their arses off their whole lives get to retire on dog food or check themselves into a State provided Seniors Institution where they let people rot their last few years on earth when they are no longer working their arses off and paying taxes into the system. Canada is a Communistic Fascist System unknown in the worlds history where the government is a Comministic organization feeding off of those in the private sector applying a Fascist Police State systemically, over slaves doing all the work and paying all the taxes. Canadians, all 30 Million of us should be living just off the royalties from our natural resources alone like Saudi Princes if it was not for the incredible levels of public pilferage by the top 10% of public servants living large like Enron Exces with their friends and relatives in Private Monopolies the government creates and maintains for their friends and relatives. Canada is nothing like people believe it is. Very little that is connected to government and monopolies works legitimatly here. We are better off than most other countries IN SPITE of all the intentional waste and pilferage, because we are constantly being had by our own government and its privatly held monopolies created in the 1800's and are still sucking the lifeblood of Canadians everywhere, becausse we respond to it by working ever harder and sacrificing ourselves to reach dreams that are not real.

Disolve Unecessary Governments
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Of course. The non-elected have been usurping power from the People by reducing the number of elected representatives supervising them. In 1967 Ontario's population was 6.0 Million and from your number we had 108 seats. Today we have a population of 12.0 Million and we should have 216 seats all things being equal. At the same time we saw increadible advances in computer technology making people 1000's of time more efficient. This should be reflected in 1000's of time less non-elected administration since it takes less people to look after the public's interest. The people never the less deserve as much personal attention per capita as always which we means we should have a significant increase in elected representation to listen to the growing number of people. This would go with a dramatic decrease in non-elected administration. I have no problem with increasing vocational and working public workers which should also increase with population, however the administration and bureacratic levels can be slashed my several magnatudes without noticiable effects other than huge reduction in intentional public waste that they represent. -
What's up with French in Canada?
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The problem is that the 20% of Canadians who are Francaphones have the advantages of public employment in a Socialist State such as Canada where a good 3 Million People are employed by the government. All of the top possitions go to Francaphones, the non-elected judges in the higher courts must be francaphones, the federal government jobs all all francaphones, the forein embasies and stations all go to francaphones. They excuse of French in Canada is used and abused much to much and the people who abuse it are at the top of the command and control centers. Also it is a hindrence for immigrants that come here who for many generations will never take up French as a second languages since our pushing of multi-culturalism also tends to keep the Francophone families ahead of all others who will tend to advance their ancestral language as their second language rather than French. French is not a very pretty language and quite complicated and cumbersome to learn or use properly so few people will take it up on purpose. I will go so far as say that it is the perfect language if you want to discourage new people to learn it who are not born into it. The segragated education system and sepaprate no-line up health care ensures their advantages will be preserved for generation unless the is a revolution here that kick out the controlling class from government possition and exiles them to the North West Territories. -
Disolve Unecessary Governments
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Millions upon millions of people have died throughout history to remove non-elected appointed tyrants from public positions. Why does Canada persist in undermining the public interest by maintaining people in important and higher possitions of public governance without ensuring there are effective means of summarily removing and disbaring them from ever holding public possitions of responsibility and trust once they are found wanting? -

What's up with French in Canada?
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Nothing limits it from French being abolished from the public service outside of Quebec either. 25 Million people that don't care to hear or see French in their daily lives have to pay for provide the priviledge to 1 million francophones to choose to speak french outside of Quebec and with this excuse get a segragated Education (without migling with all the new immigrants) and a no line-up Health Care so they can enjoy a better standards and get more gtovernment jobs for themselves at the expense of the rest. Highly unfair and unethical application of allowing some to be more equal than others in a most racist kind of way. Canada is the last Aparthied State of the British Colonies. It's about time we kept up with the rest of the world on human rights and equality. Segragated Public Services of every kind in the French language outside of Quebec needs to be abolished in Canada. French should be treated as any other minirity language outside of Quebec. -
80% of Canadians don't understand any French. Almost all of the 20% that do understand French also understand English better than most foreign language Immigrants who live and work here for 30 years and are all equally Canadian Citizens. 80% of the 20% Francophones live in Quebec. Outside of Quebec Francaphones are the among the smallest of Canada's minority languages. In most of Canada outside of Quebec they are not even represented in the general population since they are concentrated in small pockets of communities here and there. 4% of Canadians outside of Quebec understand French. What's all of the Billions upon Billions in money being spent on French outside of Quebec realy all about?

Disolve Unecessary Governments
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Have to revise my gramar on this truism... The reason we must elect people is not because the public will tend to elect the better people for the job but because the people will be able to remove the wrong people they elected. We need more elected possitions and less employed possitions in Canada's governance. Better to elected and unelect 10 different people to a post over a period of 30 years based on the chance that the public vote may be an error in judgement every four or five years.....rather than letting even one wrong man get appointed on purpose by men with the mentality of gangsters who can't be removed for 30 years or more. The chances that the public will make the same mistake 10 times when voting in open elections is not that great and the chance that a small group will appoint a man with the mentality of a gangster on purpose is almost a certainty every time. -
Disolve Unecessary Governments
iamcanadian2 replied to iamcanadian2's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The most important reason to elect someone into a possition every 4 or 5 years is not for the people to pick the best person for the job. It's to be able to get rid of the wrong people every 4 or 5 years at the most. Apointed possitions may result in some better people getting picked more often, but when any wrong people are appointed they are in and stay in there for 30 years or more and can get even passed on for generation with the resulting nafariousness and corruption being too much to risk and the damage they do much too great to let go. Better to elect and unelect 6 different people in thirty years because the public makes errors in judgement than to let one man with the mentality of gangsters stay get an appointed job that lasts for 30 years abusing the public trust and betraying the public interest from employed possitions.
