  1. Ok, listen to this: in the 1960's, cigarette corps. were hiring 'scientists' to legitimately say on national television, that, they were not addictive. well the same thing is happening with global warming, though, a better name for it is, 'climate shift.' if it continues any longer, good old CA will be well beneath water, by about 40-60 feet, just as well, it could leave this lovely planet, uninhabitable, and for the most part, that oil that gives the 'man' all his money, would be worth toilet paper. Alternative fuel is an ok solution, but, it may just prolong the problem. so i was holding together several different idea's that just, popped in there, about 'habitat improvement facilities.' Basically, a big building that takes in air, separates other pollutants, and turns them into solid, transportable, bricks. then, sends them out to a dump yard to be sold for other uses, or to be transformed into other useful things. but that’s not all; it would also let out other elements, control humidity and CO2 levels, the helium and outer ozone layers, how much oxygen is released, hydrogen released, as well as releasing viral anti-bodies to help cure disease in the air! it would be controlled by a highly trained science team, and guarded by the national guard most likely. and looking at how much is dumped each day, it would take about 10,000 of these to be built globally just to slow it down, and, if any went out of control, it could be disastrous, but it seems to be the best bet. so what do you think? should all the world invest in such a plan?
  2. i agree with you, i have no use for a god as well, but its more a change in mindhood for me: i loved mankind more, but i'd also like to state, an example: a fear of other faiths is common in war, if war ever came, know that i would never kill one of my own(a human), but if a man runs at me, weapon at hand and faith blazing, i will defend my family, one day maybe all of us might have to defend our home, but would you defend a muslim, satanic, pegan, celtic, wicka, or atheist? if others with the same belief tryed to kill you or your family? i think you'de not trust anyone, but we are stronger together! i don't care the belief, if you'de fight together with hounor, what does your faith matter? it is just to you, as it is just to them. i'm atheist because then i don't have to pick a side, but it seems we are picked out for the slaughter. so i try my best to persuade people to believe diffrently, as not to kill or be killed if a time of hardship comes.
  3. your right, but if i was your parent i'd never teach you a doctrine of belief, morals perhaps, which may make you atheist, but no belief, exept in family and good freinds. ya know, i never forced my little brother into atheism, but i never let a lie past him, if a person lie's a 'pretend fact' to him, i straiten it up, then i tell him the truth, no agenda behind it: no criticism or fault blame. also if i had a son, i'd teach him from a very young age what science, math, and history is, if he went to bible class, he'd know so much of science, math, and history, he could add to the conversation enough to make his own choice, and that is my wish, that he be independent in his learning by what i taught him (please note i'd only teach him fact, and give him plenty of room to move around in, as well, give him a good definition of imagination, and help him know the real part of reality, the rest is up to him) as well, i found Chuck U. Farlie's comments very painful, i am atheist and am happy for what i know, i have found so much and thought of so much that i think i've grown past every dull constant emotion a human my be drunk by feeling. i am never just happy, never just sad, they come and go and i never feel a dull moment, but there's more then that: things are clearer to me, i'm happy to know what it is i see when it is beautiful, i never felt so 'me,' so complexed yet outspoken, as if i see everything from an equal stand point, even my own theories. i am a poor man, with not much, but more then most. everything i have i need, this pc is one thing i need, my mind needs more then books to expand, i am often faced with trouble, but i try everything on my own, that way it is done honorably, i am individual, i hope you do not categorize people like M&M's, i don't believe you could know my color. maybe you meant something else? the nonexistence of god, means the existence of something else, something...more, that is a good thing, not an absence: or 'glass half empty' thing. do you resent atheism? or was it an observation? proofs?
  4. sorry to just pounce in here but, i agree with slavik44, teens will 'do it,' no matter what, life tends to 'break' past walls, it is the uncerinty of chaos in masses. i say we open up a civillian orginization, that works with the police as a 'state guard.' control boarder trafic on all sides and put 'undercover' men at work, or bribe people in the illegal system to work for us, 3X what there being paid (we got to play dirty some time) it seems our problem is not the number of police, its the inisutave to get intell and make a bust, i say give every kid on this side of the world a cell phone or pocket pager with a tracker, all for a one time payment of like: $20, i'm sure the parents could buy the phone, but the service wouldn't put a big dent in the corperations, also make it cheap, a home dial, a 911 dial, and 3 freind dials that are programmable for better access and saftey, also put a tracker in their with an ID # the cops could track down, it would help, no? as well, put black box trackers in cars, so we can pinpoint the exact person or persons holding the child, and pull his pretend life in canada, the states, or even mexico into shambles! the trick to catching a criminal, is to make their nessesities spies. what else does a criminal use we can taint to catch them?
  5. ya, it means he is moraly stupid, an example is my sister in-law: she is 19 and went to chathlic school, she is very misinformed and is clueless to the most basic qeustions yesterday we found out she stole jewlry from my mothers room, up to $1500 worth, and gave them away as christmas presents to her family, morally stupid or what? also, my apendix exploded , ans i just got emergency surgery on christmas night, wish me luck people, they say i may have an internal infection. as well, what do you do if someone does a morally stupid thing? like the example above? how would you solve it? or more so, should she be punished? and how?
  6. i found it to be dry, but hey its a story not a top notch book! other then that, never giving up is a turn of fair survivalism, our ability to survive is what links us to our animal kin. but more often then not, we survive the best , and help the less skilled, but they know better if somthings coming, so trust their insticts and you may survive.
  7. i agree with his letter, as i said, a teacher of mine said something simular. the teaching seem to reflect early points of chivalry, if there is a relation, why is it striken so close to rules of professionalism?
  8. your right, lights on or lights off, that is the defining prefrence of love or sex well it matters if you like love or not, the poem is correct, some of us prefer the pain, its well worth the hurt
  9. i agree, and found many a lesson in its words. but most of it i understood to a point my teacher made. "if you truly do not want to do it, why do you despair once its not done? a part of you was damaged by your decision to ignore your duty, now a part of you feels shame, and that can be interpreted as a petty act, i think i do not have to ask."
  10. "sex if filthy. its dirt to the soul, at the bottom of the soul." Friedrich Nietzsche, ‘thus poke zarathustra.’ i love that book ... any way, love is more, sex is less, and the lesser as it falls faster, the love hurts slower. but i love how it hurts.
  11. i agree with the decision, it's self-gratifying to try to break international law for such a selfish reason, the west must honor the east, that way peace is more possible, but to a broader extent, we must show respect to international cultures. i think we can only live in peace, if we sacrifice for 1 another. a book is hardly a sacrifice...
  12. i agree with you, electric monk, the weak atheist is more open minded but also more detached. as i explained as "the out looking in" thats why most atheists like a religiously clear gov. to try to lower distractibility. just as well, most atheists i've met that are, flexible, tend to have a higher tolerance to other beliefs, but agree that people trying to get their religious beliefs more recognized, by advertising them, are very much more, morally weak then other, less attention grabbing groups in society. like the United Lutheran Church, who in Montana are spreading outrage at a new school regulation on teaching evolution in private religious schools. "they've been teaching it tainted" was what a representative of the public school district said in an interview to the news paper, "they are hiding agenda in school, that by law has been banned by the gov.". a radio station reacted by saying, "well they are obviously not teaching the truth of the bible in school either" this is not looking good... and printing of the dilemma has been delayed tell after Christmas, due to a request no specified. the only people covering this is the radio station, whom might i add, support the United Lutheran Church. its turning into a 1 sided fight, and back to point: only "weak" atheists are taking no side to it... so which atheist is mentally insane? (if you ask me, there's no such thing as sane.)
  13. LOL i threw sevral! my point is that they are so silly, if you were there they'd try to pull you into the conversation, they did it to me. my response: "i'm atheist............BOO!"
  14. well lets see... GOD IS DEAD!!! i once believed the wind helped me do my homework... what religion needs is a more personalized existance, if not then well i'm moving to the omega-11 system, good chip dip... hersay? well ask a mad men if he would blindly kill in his madness, and i'm sure he'd try to kill, anybody feel an emotional response from reading that in bold letters above? well thats genrally what makes madmen, i say we personalize our belief and use it to find truth. ask a terrorist this: "after you convert the world, what then?" they think they know truth, if you ask me they are too young to be the world dominator, they even want eachother dead... pathetic... other then that, i feel sorry for them, got the @$$-end of every deal.
  15. ok, people, lets look at the bible and act like we agree with one another, if a book don't speak to your pride, then often its speaks against it! well thats my problem, i'm angry at the bible, why? i have no clue, maybe the tought of whats happening to millions of kids all over the world, is breaking my motivation. any suggestions on how to get through reading it ok? as well, look up "thus spoke zarathustra" the R.J.Hollingdale translation, it's the most poetic, and the words mesh more understandably, i love this book, if not i think you can look up the thomas commons translation for free, but its not as good, it's to insult-sounding, not as poetic.
  16. quick get-fact here... anyone ever felt goose bumps or chills when expiriancing something about god? thats a kind of stimulation, and can be addictive, i broke my habit. i was told by a counsler to get rid of my illusions i might be painting for myself, she was shocked when i paused and said, "...god" i was lying to myself to lie to others, now i try to be honest to myself, you see the biggest price i hade to pay, is to make my whole world go away. what is their now? what i see, and what i knew, i use what i know to learn more, genrally it helps keep me in check, so my reason for turning to atheism? mental health, i didn't want myself to be clouded, i needed to look at the facts, so did, as well i realized my mom tought me my faith, and i wanted to find truth, and proof for that truth. not just try to be faithful for my mom. also right when they let me out, i chowed down like 20 cheese burgers, so i make the joke that i chouse a burger over the bible, also i like the unsure smilie. homework video games cool or what.... now as for other reasons for being atheist, its the blank, the other side of faithfulness, with it i can look out of the box and look at all possibilities complitly detatched from beliefs, and make theories of my own, it helps me see clearly, and clearly i think i'm wrong 99% of the time, its the deepest way to see the joy-baskers and their silly words bounce about and cause chaos among them, if you look at a prodistin and a luthren fight on a debate about god... its kinda funny, they never use deductions and always revert to history for fact, they point out current people that made some brake through and expect to convince eachother with that, they act very animalistic, and it gennrally escilates to a point, that they stop and walk away, pathetic in a way, the only teaching they both agreed on was "turn the other cheek" , if you ask me, they need to get a chill pill and stick it up their gruff, pedantic butts. so i just sit here, and try to look at it like a real life situation. but be human, i need to act like one, so my atheism is often hidden, alittle more pathetic in my opinion.
  17. lets see... my dad left our family when i was 11 months old i think. i was raised a morman, and yes around paligamy, and yes it's gross. i turned to god as my father, he was, kinda a father figure, so i was alittle coo-coo in the head (kinda thought i was jesus or something like that) went to school, and stopped going, so got a psyco-analisis: i was crazy! school testing said other wise, but all i was doing was lying to myself, to lie to others. or at least thatsa what they said. was in these religions the whole time: mormon, christian, Cherokee indian, bha hi (or how ever its spelt) atheist, ageist, atheist/chatlic, atheist. weird or what, as per event, i hade faith, as per event: i found selfish reasons to be self absorbed, now i have other reasons to exist, i went crazy 2 years ago! cant you tell!! any way, i had and have a life, but just 1 life, though thats all it takes for change, so... i'm atheist because i have not been shown there is a god, and i wish to see change, religion is my mist, i don't see past it, so i use my senses as my light, with them i can see, but not too far, i can't trust my eye's as well as trusting the poisonus types! my holiday is joy for all you who find what i'm looking for, i hope i find something for all of you, just as well, i'm still crazy! i know this, and am not to proud of it, but am happy to be who i am now, so can tell you who i was... atheists, mostly, might have problems, but look at paligamists, much worse. as good as that was, maybe i can also state that it was said that "insanity is to know the face of god" you obviously have not met my uncle, scary. also 1 more excuse to be atheist god cheese burger like i had a choice....
  18. as well, lets look at what we do know! i hate useless speculation, look up stuff, inform us. theirs allot we can learn from eachother... agreed?
  19. i do not agree... science is bound by phlosiphy, if not then millions of people would be ginny pigs, all in the name of science. i am a scientest and philosipher, both are a reality i can delve into, science allows me to know of things that no faith has tought me, but i have been ignorant, so i am reading the bible. morals also come from the mind, is that what you meant? as in god may have tought us how to find things in our head? well, beside the definition of god, in effect to its contriversy: "not yet known" is wrighten, can we at least agree on that? believing that you do not know, is how you find how you might know.
  20. i agree, and would argue that infact, religion is a seperator of groups, and cause of much anger between one another. but screaming at screamers just makes allot of sound...
  21. so betsy, you found your answer? your lucky, indeed i found only the obsession to find one. once i loose something, i look for it franticlly , once i find it i feel, kinda complete in an odd way . every time i hear a song, that i like of course, i kinda think "what is there, rather then what i know?" i don't know something, what is it? i accept my confusion, much like you do, but i do not accept a silent answer, their is more, but i have a time limit, to find it before death, i hate to waste! so i do not waste my time! as i write this i learn anew! i must accept that i will not know, but at least i'll get closer for all of those after me, that may get even closer then i. religion strikes with phantom fangs at children that might learn, that are curious. if we were not set back by religion, we could know by now! is that wrong? but some say with out it; we would fall into anarchy, i would not, i have rules as well as everyone else, look up a short episode of 'moral oral' and you'll see what i see in privite religion in a comunitee, i hade to deal with this, i hope no other kid will. as well, i hope people begin searching, a path is not just known, its walked. the diffrence is, what have you to choose? also, as i've read parts of the bible, he seemed to be a philosophical genus, very good at observational analigy and spaital metaphor, he hade a depth in my opinion, but it seemed to be back tracked or followed by another metaphor... a gap? i'll read more and tell you what i think.
  22. i know!! pick me!!! its coded into the colors in this web site!! ***MUST KILL ELMER AND FREINDS***
  23. i can't even say that! i can say: CH-ey-ez well happy, Hanukkah, and please injoy your time with your family... (as for the diet, is cheese included? i'm serious, i sent a Jewish friend 3 kinds of cheese.) it was either that, or a leaf blower... cheese leaf blower
  24. sounds like what all happened at my house last year... also, if you condemn us, you yourself, might be going with us, that would mean your path is tainted, would you save us all then? tell us if we deserve death, or iternity in hell! disapointing, i thought there might be more. but indeed their is!: if you make your life hell, you will live in hell, see? you are correct, if all 10 comandment where to be excussed as hersay, then...CHAOS!!! but new guidlines are needed, the book was wrighten, what? athousand years ago? more? sorry jesus..... jesus pig meat
  25. hey betsy, do you know what Intelligent Design is? in science, we seem to think their is a more finite chaos in design for it to have been by intellegence, and the code in nature may have come out of a design of past events in 'nothingness', though the term 'nothingness is incorrect. maybe it is more then a god, we have projected in our past the want for something more, a glance up, to wait for someone to take us, but i have seen stars, my mother called them: angels, i felt wind, my mom called it: the great spirit. but what draws us to this sky? us who find a way up, have no desire to just know, we need to find it in the heavens, but all we saw, was a dark room with dead sisters, but how did they die? all in our space is still unknown, but if we all look up for what might be, belief in a god is just 1, i picked none of them, they are all so beautiful, i would never pick just 1. our definitions from the past are wrong, and i would not dare pull your halo down, but scientests could mean the begining anew! or the end of all things, our current leaders want the many to outway the few, but the few have found new definition for human: "?" but we have not heard it yet, we need new blood, because this old blood will make us die in our wisdom, which might i add, can be delusionary. i agree, we do not know, but do you wish to know just by reading 1 book? it will take more then that, read what you wish, but the search is not over, i will continue, prove the god right in the eye's of the doubtful, you can only prove positivly, if i disprove you, will you not shift to another claim? as i said: i will continue searching, i hope you do too. start with Intelligent Design, if you wish, you may see some proof, but also look into deductions made by some agnostic/atheists allot of them also have said it is unlikly that god is "ALL", but they disagree as well with eachother. as well, the assassin in history, was often a lie, "history is a set of events people have agreed upon" some of them are no longer true, jesus may have been born, history shows some evidence of this, he was right in his thinking, but a genus is often the most wrong.
