Is Trump Hitler? No, not when we know about the atrocities Hitler committed during WW2. But Trump certainly talks like Hitler. Trump uses dehumanizing speech in the tradition of Hitler – “poisoning the blood of the country” and calling his opponents “radical-left thugs” who “live like vermin.” Trump is Speaking Like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini It’s highly reminiscent of Hitler’s “blood and soil” rhetoric, aimed at the goal of a “racially pure” Aryan people. It is meant to say, “We are clean, pure and healthy, and you are not—and you are a threat.” Perhaps, Trump plans his own Die Säuberung (The purge)

Programs threatened by DOGE
Radiorum replied to Radiorum's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Honestly, the US is probably already an oligarchy, where rich elites rule. The wealthy gets the laws they want. Research has shown that “the average citizen exerts little or no influence on federal government policy.” Ever heard of the Koch brothers? And if you don't understand that Trump seeks to make himself a king, you haven't been paying attention. Nearly 40 million Americans got health care under the ACA. https://aspe.hhs.gov/reports/current-health-coverage-under-affordable-care-act Whose interests do you think are foremost in his mind? -

I am glad for you, but in the US sixty-two (62%) of the two million personal bankruptcies filed each year are the result of medical debt. Health Care Costs Number One Cause of Bankruptcy for American Families -
it was an article about importing BC's program to Washington state I just went with the first article I found. I find this so fascinating. I remember something I read once - about a good man being a honest man - that honesty was the best virtue. And I know that the man looked down upon is the man whose word is not good. So, I guess you think the worst insult you can give to me is to say I am lying. (It's not just you, it's others on this forum.) But, of course, I am not. But I guess you feel that that is your best attack. If one has no basis for an argument to refute any of my points, and resorts to ad hominem attacks, they occupy the very bottom rung of the hierarchy of disagreement.

Defense and NASA must cut their costs - unless it benefits me. Have you an answer to my question? I didn't even make a claim in my OP. I just reported. -

What are you suggesting? That DOGE is not going to slash and burn? Where do you think they are going to get the $2 trillion dollars? -

He's got $11.8 billion in contracts with NASA, too. It's hypocrisy becomes he claims one thing but practices another. -

Lol, I don't think Trump liked it much when Musk jumped around on the stage and stole the spotlight. -

And there is a bigger question here - Who-TF is Musk? - an unelected opportunist who knew how to shmooze the president-elect and in so doing gain enormous power and in the long run do doubt enrich himself. -

Musk has pointed to cutting the federal budget by $2 trillion. Where do you think the money is going to come from? -

Musk calls for billions to be cut from the defense budget at the same time he accepts $3.6 billion dollars from the agency. Hypocrite! -

This has nothing to do with cutting inefficiency. It has all to do with funding tax cuts for the rich. -

They want to cut $2 trillion dollars. Tell me people won't be hurt. -
It's a tough question, I personally know a 14-year-old girl who is totally addicted to her phone and her parents are helpless to pry it out of her hands. (Kids these days don't have the fear of their parents we once did). It comes down to - what responsibility does the government have for the safety of our children?
