Crockett Was Tricked Into Running
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
But you don't hate Trump? Right. Tell us one thing Jasmine Crockett has accomplished as a representative, either in Texas or the federal government. No cheating. You have to do it off the top of your head. -
It turns out Vemezuela was using ghost tankers to run oil to and from Cuba. While the U.S. is blowing up small vessels in the Caribbean, accusing Venezuela of using them to send drugs to the U.S., a new report affirms that the government of Nicolás Maduro is using a clandestine network of oil tankers to bypass U.S. sanctions and maintain crude shipments to Cuba. But this is not just about Venezuela. This tanker was being used by bad actors all over the world, including Iran: Tanker was sanctioned by Treasury 3 years ago The Skipper was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department in 2022 for its alleged role in an oil smuggling network that helped fund the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps and Hezbollah, a Lebanese militant group backed by Iran. The ship — known as Adisa in 2022 — is among the vessels controlled by sanctioned Russian oil magnate Viktor Artemov, the Treasury said in a statement. At the time, the Treasury said Artemov transported Iranian oil using an expansive network of ships that were often registered in obscure ways with the intention of skirting U.S. restrictions on Iranian petroleum exports. Even the Biden admin considered this tanker a danger to the US and the world. The seizure hurts Iran, Venezuela and Russia.

Uh, no. That os just the fantasy world you want to live in. The reality is that the CAD was on par with the USD 12 years ago. Now, it is $0.73 or 27% less than the USD. That means that everything they buy here is just that much more expensive. So, yes, they come here less and go to places that have favorable currency rates like Honduras, El Salvador and Mexico. FYI, you don't pay tariffs on things you buy in the US and take home. -

Who did not believe that BLM was a scam? Anyone. Of course it was a scam and these grifters made millions off the donations of white guilt liberals.

I agree. However....what better argument does Jazzy Crocket have? I think her only chance is to play the victim card. She's got no plans that I am aware of. The only thing that will hit the floor is what's left of his brains as they ooze out of his ears. He is in complete melt down mode. -

Talarico is a name you could ask 1000 Texans about and you might get one that knows him...maybe. -

I don't think you understand basic economics well enough for this to continue. What you are saying is nothing more than terms you've heard. I need you to understand the relationship between supply, demand and price. You are not interested in that. All you care about is spewing the "Orange Man Bad" tripe. I am not going to waste my time on someone that doesn't know and doesn't care. -
According to NOTUS’s Reese Gorman, “Republicans’ Senate campaign arm has actively worked behind the scenes to encourage Rep. Jasmine Crockett to jump into the Senate Democratic primary in Texas, believing she will be the easiest opponent to beat.” The GOP, per Gorman, viewed both declared Democrats already competing for their party’s nomination, Colin Allred and James Talarico, as “formidable.” Republican insiders don’t share the same view of Crockett. Lmao...she is so dumb that she believed all the fake calls and polls the Republicans sent her way.

It is a weird way to do it, but i guess you at least admitted you were wrong. Thanks. -
You do understand that the United States started as individual countries? With that in mind, the electoral college is like these individual countries casting their weighted voted based on the vote of their population. It is kind of brilliant. The populous states get a bigger vote, but the less populous states can over ride them. That means the rural voters can have a say and so can the urban voters. This is what we mean by majority rules, minority rights. The EC balances popular vote with minority vote so that both groups have a turn in power. It moderates our policies. It is literally the best system devised to date. There is no tyranny of the majority here.

In western civilization rape is always wrong and it is always wrong to throw someone off a roof because they are gay. In certain cultures, that is 180 degrees from their values. If they can't assimilate to that, then living under the same laws is going to be a problem.
