Trump the Con Man strikes again
gatomontes99 replied to Radiorum's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Actually, it does not stop everything. Coast guard boats can only cover so much territory. When they do get a drug runners in sight, it takes a lot of time for them to catch up, if they catch up at all. If they do manage to catch one of those boats, the drugs are likely tossed overboard and there is nothing to prosecute them on. We have been intercepting and intredicting for decades. A month of blowing their ass out of the water and shipments are down 90%+. -
Trump the Con Man strikes again

I bet he loved the shameless college loan forgiveness. -
Did Trump play 4d chess with this? Did he slow play it to time the release as the midterms approach? Trump clearly started his campaign to win the midterms this week. Just as this information starts trickling out. I can't help but think he timed the release to help him win the midterms. The trickle of information will probably spill out through November.

The article about Susie. The one this entire thread is based on. Turns out most of the quotes were taken out of context. The "Trump has an alcoholics personality" quote, for example, was talking about how he is optimistic and thinks he can do grand things that other people think are impossible. The author tried to make it sound like Susie thought he was a drunk or flawed. instead she was talking about how good he is at setting lofty goals and meeting them. These lying hit pieces don't work. Everyone sees right through the lies now. The media has jumped the shark and people get their news from TikTok and X now, for better or worse.

You literally linked the quote that says elected: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President," However, running as VP might be interpreted as running for the office and an election to VP might be an election to office. There would be good arguments bith ways here.

Crockett Was Tricked Into Running
gatomontes99 replied to gatomontes99's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Yep. I am replying to myself. But, I thought about an angle that wasn't obvious. Do you hear these women saying that the only thing stopping them from voting red is Trump? That says a lot about how well the left has demonized him. But it also tells you that they like the policies. That makes me wonder if the 2028 election is going to have a big shift in demographics. -
Trump’s Ballroom Corruption Exposed

They won't if they just scream "black lives matter" and "long love Che!" -
You do realize that several of those "qualifications" have to do with her genitals? As for her being unqualified, being hired to jobs is not a qualification. Her ability to do them is. She was an abject failure as the VP. She objectively failed as a Presidential candidate both in the primary and in 2024. By her own words and actions, she clearly is not capable of independent thought. I don't assume anything. I am judging her on her merits. If I assumed someone was incapable of doing their job just because they are a woman, I would not love Caroline Levit so much. But she is a kick ass press secretary. See, you can not refute what I am saying, so you immediately resort to name calling. He was married. Separated, but married. That is not unattached. He was also way way way older than her and...**GASP**...their relationship did lead to her getting a job: La Times: Brown, exercising his power even as his speakership seems near an end, named attorney Kamala Harris to the California Medical Assistance Commission, a job that pays $72,000 a year.Harris, a former deputy district attorney in Alameda County, was described by several people at the Capitol as Brown’s girlfriend. In March, San Francisco Chronicle columnist Herb Caen called her “the Speaker’s new steady.” Harris declined to be interviewed Monday and Brown’s spokeswoman did not return phone calls. That article is from 1994. Even then they were saying she got the job because they were "dating."

I like how you call my post sexist when I rephrased Biden's main qualifications for VP. Time: In the first one-on-one Democratic primary debate Sunday, former Vice President Joe Biden vowed to pick a woman Vice President and promised to appoint a black woman to the Supreme Court. She slept with Willie Brown and got a job she wasn't qualified for. She called Joe Biden a racist and suddenly became black when he picked her for VP. Nothing anyone said above was untrue. In the face of facts you could not refute, you chose to call people sexist and misogynist. That is a lazy tactic that just won't fly. You can't get people to rethink their actions and beliefs if you are lobbing baseless lies at them. Do better.

It is so devastating that JD Vance is making jokes about it: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/12/16/vance-defends-susie-wiles-after-vanity-fair-article/87794022007/ “Sometimes I am a conspiracy theorist,” Vance said. “But I only believe in the conspiracy theories that are true.” “Significant context was disregarded and much of what I, and others, said about the team and the President was left out of the story,” Wiles said. “I assume, after reading it, that this was done to paint an overwhelmingly chaotic and negative narrative about the President and our team.” ********** If Susie says it is out of context, I am going to bet it is out of context. #fakenews
