Imagine a troubled person, desperate to be relevant and seen as powerful. How encouraging is it to know that hundreds, if not thousands, of people will rejoice in their actions? They think they'll be heroes. The people that lament that Trump didn't die are encouraging another assassination attempt. That is worth investigating, charging and convicting them for their words. It was a very good speech in that it laid out problems in general and simple terms and followed that with solutions that were easy to understand. The speech attacked (mostly) policies and praised so many people. It had touching moments when talking about the people hurt in the shooting. They will attack him for "getting economic advice from a waitress" and jokingly saying he's buying votes (by making the economy better).
