As I said that irrelevant. But at one time slavery was legal.
You haven't shown that you're superior in any way whatsoever to Aquinas so until you can I certainly am not impressed with how you view yourself.
It has nothing to do with his being a saint. Argue against his reasoning not his stance as a saint.
Again a non believer only has to do to one thing and I will cease believing in God on the spot.
People have erroneously interpreted that for over 500 years so what? And Jesus says unless you eat (in the Greek the word used is "gnaw") my flesh you will not have life in you. Ignatius of Antioch a disciple of the apostle John says the Eucharist is the flesh of Jesus. Now I can believe Jesus and a disciple of John the apostle or I can believe to random people on the Internet. No offense but you dont speak with any more authority that Jesus or Ignatius.
Well you make a point. Protestants say you must "accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and savior" if you want to be saved. I've asked 1000s of protestants what actually saves then, then sacrifice of Jesus or reciting the quoted incantation?
I appreciate other religions as well but not all religions are created equal. I agree that being saved is a process and Scripture says as much but the people I started this thread for don't agree.
You've perverted Christianity. Your version of Christianity started in the 1500s. You completely reject the actually Christianity that existed before that.
Aquinas covers it pretty well.
You won't like the evidence but that's irrelevant. There is no evidence you would accept because you're hard hearted. Nonbelievers however could immediately get me to cease believing in God if they did just one thing.
Often not always. Jesus is quite clear white often and I notice when people like what Jesus has to say they take it literally but when they don't they insist it's metaphorical. It's amusing actually.
Again you make up in volume what you lack in accuracy. The words "faith alone" appear together in scripture in only one place and that is to we are not saved by faith alone. You speak with no authority because you reject Scripture yet like the heretics throughout history you drape yourself in abused scriptural references.
It's all very relevant.
What does the John 8:7 passage teaches us about this question. You will have to think not just talk. The headache will be worth the risk. Try it.
You're the moral relativist here. Nothing I've said contradicts my initial argument
It's irrelevant. You want to equate God's behavior with mans behavior. In John 8:7 Jesus did not prohibit people from following the law to stone the adulteress he merely added a condition.
I didn't say it wasnt wrong. Youre listening to the voices in your head again. If only you were as open minded we you are obstinate you would understand things but youre not.
