Donald Trump has always been a big pro wrestling fan. He developed a friendship with Vince McMahon *who turned out to be another serial predator) sometime in the early 80s. Trump even hosted back to back Wrestlemanias at Trump Palace in 1988 and 1989. What's interesting about Trump, is how he was influenced by McMahon. In the late 90s wrestling boom, Vince McMahoon became one of the star performers, as the "evil boss," Trump pretty much copied what McMahon would do, as the evil boss Mr. McMahon would tell wrestlers loudly "YOURE FIRRRRED!" Trump would emulate this when he began starring in the reality show "The Apprentice." Trump went on to be one of the main players at the 2007 Wrestlemania, in a hair vs hair match (which trump won, and proceeded to shave Vince McMahon's hair). The two men have strikingly similar personas, and it's no coincidence that Linda McMahon (wife of Mcmahon), was promoted to Trump's cabinet in 2017, as Administrator of the Small Business Administration.

What happened to America? I don't care what party one is in, it seems like only the Democrats actually resign for their misgivings. Matt Gaetz is a piece of human trash, and has been since he has a teenager. The things he has done would disqualify him from most jobs in America, let alone being in some a high ranking position.

You mean when the Municipality of Jasper, and the Government of Alberta dropped the ball, and the town burned down? https://globalnews.ca/news/10639590/jasper-wildfire-evacuation-order-mixed-messaging/ Michael usually does not need links, since his posts are intellectually superior to 96% of forum members, and are clear and precise. Even still, he provides more links to validate his arguments than you do Trump was convicted on those counts by a court of law. COVID was an emergency pandemic that called for Government intervention to save lives. The irony of this is Canada and most European countries imposed harsher laws, and their death rates were less than 50% of what America experienced. We saw new laws in regards to fighting terrorism in the aftermath of 9/11. In both cases, the Federal Government imposed the orders, due to national emergencies. Canada has done the same thing, first in 1970, implementing the "War Measures Act" after the FLQ kidnapped the Quebec Laboour Minister (and murdered him), and the British Ambassador to Canada. Republicans made a big deal out of Hunter Biden's laptop, which was small potatoes, when compared to all the felonies committed by the Trump administration. Seriously, it was a red herring from the beginning. Hunter Biden was just a messed up addict, nothing more, nothing less. Well I have too agree with you in that point... -

I've noticed that the only forum members who back up their posts with links, sources, or factual evidence are almost always not Trump supporters. It's always the same song and dance "but your are a leftard, and Biden sucks!' I always hope for more, from them, but it's always a certainty that they will not elaborate on their point, or substantiate it with reliable sources, that would take the average person Googling roughly 10 minutes to do, and resort to childish tactics, like name calling. I still hope that will change, but I am not optimistic... When has Biden acted like a totalitarian? Can your provide an example, with sources to substantiate your claim? -
If Americans really cared about bringing down the deficit, they would always elect democrats, considering deficits rise when Republicans are in office, and fall when Democrats are leading the country, It's amazing that it took me less than 5 minutes to find this out, yet many of the MAGA fanatics refuse to do the most basic economic research when it comes to US deficits.

I was lucky enough to reside with my Grandfather, when I was a young adult going to college, as I helped him (he had heart problems). He was a historian, and a veteran of WW2. He taught me well, and had quite a bit to say about the Third Reich, as he lived through it. I ended up reading 18 books about WW2, mainly about how the Nazis came to power, the Holocaust, and the psychology of how a nation would come to elect a unstable hate-filled populist candidate. I see all these parallels with Trump and the MAGA movement. It should be noted that many in the Third Reich spoke of Hitler in almost religious terms, comparing him to Christ, as a saviour. If we listen closely to some influential MAGA and Trump supporters, we can say the same thing. Especially the Evangelical Christians, and how many of them worship Trump like Jesus, especially considering Trump has never read the bible cover to cover, and does the most non Christ-like things. It's a cult, considering the MAGA movement now controls the Government, this will not end well... Sadly, the younger generation will not hear of the horrors of the 1930s and 40s, as all the people that lived through the era live passed away. My Grandfather died 20 years ago, and sadly he took all the lessons and knowledge he had in regards to the dangers of fascism with him to the grave. -

i'd rather have people in the establishment run our country, than a bunch of randoms from halfway homes, and drug treatment centres. It would be the equivalent of a hospital passing on a heart surgeon, and replacing him with a truck driver with no medical experience, and expecting him to be better at heart surgery that a guy who has a 6 year University degree, and 20 years experience. Americans F*cked Around, by voting for Trump. 2025 will be the "Find Out" phase... -

This will lead to lower life expectancy for all Americans, and outbreaks of diseases that could be prevented by vaccines (measles, polio, etc) -

I checked the stats on the favorability ratings for @Michael Hardner. 89% of forum members with over 3 years of post secondary education have a positive opinion of him 61% of forum members with a 1-2 year technical diploma/certificate have a positive opinion of him 47% of forum members with a basic GED or high school diploma without post-secondary education, have a favourable opinion of him 12% of High School dropouts have a favourable opinion of him. It should be noted that although most people who like classical music have a very high opinion of Mr.harder, he scores very low with people who believe in conspiracy theories (9/11, Sandy Hook, rigged elections, etc). Are you sure you are not referring to yourself? -
I know that many posters here love trump, and want to imprison his political opponents, end CNN, New York Times, MSNBC, etc, and end many human rights we take for granted. All these are examples of a fascist or autocratic state. Some of us (like myself) favor Democracy, where everyone is equal, workers rights, freedom of the press, and freedom of speech. This poll will be anonymous, so I am hoping the people who have openly opposed US democracy will vote accordingly.

The are both foreigners, who immigrated to America. In Musk's case, he may have violated immigration laws to get his green card, and has done criminal acts during the US election. Murdoch is a borderline criminal, who pushes ridiculous conspiracy theories to undermine democracy. I understand that you are a fool, and this will likely be the only time I converse with you. -

Most Americans are not exactly experts in World history. However, even I did not think they were this bad at simple concepts like economic growth, tariffs, and inflation. I mean when the fiscal crisis of 2012 was going down, a mass influx of Americans came to Alberta to work. Their standards in trades are completely inadequate. I actually could not believe how poorly educated Americans are. -

The United States, and most other European countries embraced protectionism in the 1930s, which prolonged the Great Depression, and made it much worse. For all the complaining about free trade, it is beneficial for the World. Putting tariffs on goods does nothing but hurt the economy, and drive up inflation even more. America is in for a rude awakening if Project 2025 if implemented. And yes, despite the cheerleading for Russia on this forum, the Ukrainians will indeed pay a severe price if Putin has his way. Tens of Ukrainian children have already been stolen, and sold to human traffickers, and yet some will still point out a Ukrainian battalion with neo-Nazi sympathies as "worse." Not to mention Tulsi Gabbard, who has been compromised by Russia was just put in charge of intelligence? Matt Gaetz, with his 17 year old boyfriend, as Attorney General? High school dropout Lauren Boebert as Secretary of Education? This is very bad for the World. It's like visiting a halfway house or rehab center, and putting the residents in charge of the Government. Just for clarification, are you talking about Elon Musk and Rupert Murdoch?
