  1. I'm told jesus and god are related it's literally like the Godfather, it's a family business! Oh and yes, we should wipe out the philistines too.
  2. Pharaoh. The answer is always Pharaoh. Or everyone. Take your pick, Joking aside regardless of whether god is real or not the principles of the christian religion are a pretty reasonable and rewarding creed to guide your life with. As long as you don't substitute it for reason and as long as you don't demand others subscribe. Anyway - i got distracted, are we kicking pharaoh's ass or what?
  3. Because historically you didn't have public washrooms. If you had to go to the washroom in public you just crapped in the ditch or the like. When they DID have them they were more of the outhouse single person variety for most of history. And frankly - i can't think of any parts of history where if a man was recognized in the woman's washroom where it would have been ok with the gents at the time. Edit - side note, for huge hunks of history women weren't allowed far outside the home anyway because they were frequently 'unclean' (periods) and had other 'womanly issues', so it's not like very many of them were attending schools for much of history, and neither would the trans females)
  4. Apparently the girls complained that they had issues with it. Seriously dude, read the stories.
  5. Well obviously that's what we're going to have to move towards as a society.
  6. Two actually, according to the reports. And they both use the female washroom which is what started the whole discussion
  7. Man this guy is just out to ban everyone tonite Don't say anything he doesn't like or he'll bury his head and ignore you
  8. Your words made it fairly apparent, both here and at other times. An unmitigated arrogance about your religion, your illogical and fallacious stance that your god rather than any one else's or any other source is the source of all wisdom, your frequent use of that religion as a crutch you lean on when you don't have a logical argument. Generally speaking i leave people to their faith. I've seen you make many highly questionable religious statements on this forum but as a policy i don't comment on people's faith beliefs, they have their right to them no matter how batty. Seriously i woudln't normally bug even a dedicated pastafarian. So i let it go without comment. But you seem determined to rub your faith in my face today and use it as a pathetic and needy substitute for a rational argument and demand... DEMAAAAAANNNDD that i acknowledge your god as a valid and existential dataset. It isn't, and you're being insulting. So - now you get a talking to about it. There are lots of people that are of true faith and belief. You are not one of them. You are a faux christian who's ideology is a crutch to help him cope with life and arguments he can't get his head around instead of someone who actually has a well founded belief in god. So i will thank you to keep your ridiculous religious rantings out of my face and out of our discussions. In return i will continue to not comment on them generally and leave you to them.
  9. It's kind of a cute saying in the right context, but honestly you're ruining it. We want a gov't to get in. I assume you're not an anarchist Reality and history. Leaders do change countries, and thats a fact. Harper made a number of positive changes. Justin has made a MASSIVE number of VERY negative changes. A new leader can easily make a bunch of positive changes to correct that. Pretending the gov't has no influence or power or that there's never been change after a new gov't got in would just be silly.
  10. Well you need to make up your mind then, because you're flip flopping faster than a pancake cookoff, Your first position was that the chart doesn't show Conservative values increasing because otherwise they wouldn't consider universities something that makes canada better - and when i point out that conservatives DO like universities and WOULD say they're something that contributes to canada you claim that's not what the chart is about. China is a corporation now? Sounds like someone watched 'easy rider' and thought it was a historical drama. You're in the wrong country for crap like that. The right wing never blamed the police for anything to do with any of that stuff anyway - if there was a beef to be had it was with the politicians. Same thing it always has. Police are frequently over stepping and people on the right don't like that. They don't like it when they do it to the left either - many right wing groups spoke out against the kettling at the g7's. I guess you forgot about that. Or just ignored it because it didn't fit your narrative. THey were pissed at the pepperspraying for Chretien's visit to vancouver, and were horrified at his 'pepper steak' joke. It was clear he ordered it and it was unjusified. The difference is the left is ONLY angry when police overreach affects the left, they applaud it whne it affects the right. We were pissed about the things above but we were also pissed at the police breaking into homes to steal guns at High River. Etc etc. So - looks like your memory isn't just faulty, it's also a bit selective.
  11. Or germany for that matter. Of course - they could just declare an emergency and suspend people's rights.
  12. She was elected. She's not allowed to make people disappear on her own because there's laws. But she has said if she had the power to do so she would take 70 percent of the wealth from people she considers 'rich' and throw them in jail otherwise. Sooooo yeah she's not above that kind of thing,
  13. Its' funny but i was reading some old hansard records from when John A was in office. The exact same debate was happening back in that day. They were discussing the challenges with 'naturalized' canadians and how some may still be loyal to china or exert undue influence over canadian politicians, and also it was being noted that many Chinese canadians were dedicated to canada too so what to do... i guess the more things change the more they stay the same
  14. No saying that says i'm capable of rational thought and have a brain. Which you'd know if you didn't rely on false wisdom imparted by imaginary friends.
  15. Ahhhh - my bad. I think it's best that we never find out. I feel like you're probably right.
  16. She literally said that rioting and burning stuff was SUPPOSED to be how protests work. I don't know how you guys think she's nice.
  17. Well that's not an uncommon theory but it's not really a real thing in this day and age. THere was a book called the wealthy barber many years ago that sold the idea that for MOST people renting was better, subject to a few specifics he outlined. But it hasn't really worked out that way. It does in the SHORT term but not the medium or longer term. Consider how much rents have gone up. If you bought a home 5 years ago, right now you're probably paying less in mortgage and tax if you bought wisely than you woudl be renting. In 5 more years that will be an even starker contrast. Personally i coudn't afford to live where i do if i had to pay today's rents.
  18. Didn't even notice this when you posted it. Nothing wrong with my logic. If that's the best you've got for a counter argument sounds like you're the one who needs the work, Ahhh - so basically i'm wrong because i wrote too much for you. what was it you were saying about logic? I assume you're talking to yourself seeing how other people here react to you. Sure kiddo I Can understand you wanting to run and hide. You have a good day
  19. Not at all. most conservatives go to university. Not all but most. I did. So supporting university is hardly "anti conservative". And conservatives have had problems with the RCMP since long before lefies made it popular.
  20. Not really. The first two are decisions made by private individuals. IS freedom of choice anti god? God doesn't want people to choose anything? What was the deal with the apple then? THe last one is a state decision of the most profound possible - a state that couldn't get pass port offices right and screwed up an app that someone else was able to do a better version of in a weekend. They are not the same thing
  21. Then the bible is mentally challenged.
  22. Ahhh - fair enough. Everyone likes a good news story like that. My bad
  23. You mean what car did ford buyers want most? A toyota.
  24. It absolutely was. No, the emergency act is there for emergencies. It's right in the name. The notwithstanding clause is for laws - not emergencies. When they were crafting the charter they said "well we can't think of every circumstance. We don't want to be in a circumstance where we don't think the right is appropriate and be forced to have it". So they said "fine - we'll give you the right to waive charter rights - but you have to pass a law to do it and that law has to be renewed every 5 years." SO that's PRECISELY what it's for. If the gov't doesn't think that charter rights should apply in a specific circumstance they use the notwithstanding clause and bypass those rights. OF course they'll face the voters over it, and the next party may choose not to renew it. (and if not THEY'LL have to explain that to voters.) But yes - it's there to remove charter rights when the gov't feels like it.
  25. Your 'cite' says he never did have any protest, just that he was organizing one and was banned before it happened. Sooooo yeah.
