Should One Being Trans be Disclosed While Dating?
Perspektiv replied to Perspektiv's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
This I would agree with. If you didn't kiss, didn't do anything other than hang out, she doesn't owe you a thing. If things progress beyond the job interview (few platonic dates), and you are offering them a trial position (dating) before giving them a job position full time (girlfriend or boyfriend), any major deal-breaker should be put out in the open, or in my opinion the person will have themselves to blame if they get ditched or an irate response to the lie. -
Should One Being Trans be Disclosed While Dating?
Perspektiv replied to Perspektiv's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
My issue is the lie. I wouldn't be angry personally. If you're passable enough to fool me, good on you. Reality then to me, is I likely would have continued to date you had you been honest. Lying about something so significant would have me disappointed they couldn't be open with me, especially so if we click after a date or two. Someone that comfortable with lying early, doesn't spell good news for later. -

Reality is some men wouldn't mind, simply looking at her. -
Should One Being Trans be Disclosed While Dating?
Perspektiv replied to Perspektiv's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
I dated a woman who had three kids, by three different men. Last of which, tried to kill her in front of her kids. She managed to survive. That wasn't my issue. He was about to be released from jail. This was a massive deal breaker to me, but she waited until we were two months in to tell me. Obviously this is different, but is the level of deception the same? -

We are truly making sure we keep generations of kids so low on the education scores, that participation grades would be the only means of passing. I see this as those stating professionalism is racist. I will die a happy man, when glorifying having a room temperature IQ becomes racist, punishable by 4 lashes from a whip. Or, 2+2. -
Yeah, they chisel away at it, with catch phrases like "toxic masculinity", "pick up artist" and other words that are purely used in derogatory fashion. Checking out a woman is disgusting now. If I glance at one without feeling shame, there is something wrong with me. My wife looks at me and I kiss her without asking her permission, somehow am some reprehensible male who is robbing her of her dignity o_O I got into a heated debate about this before. "I can read a woman's body language, and have never asked permission and never been rejected as my reads have always been good." "Thats toxic masculinity where you assume she wants you. You should always ask her permission to touch or kiss her" Am sorry, but if am a woman and you can't read my cues and you ask me if you can hold my hand, hug me or ask my permission for my phone number, I would ask you when you had your sex change.

I can't say I enjoy current dating. I wound up dating an Asian woman, and don't think I could ever go back to dating western milenials. My wife was raised in a society where marriage is important. Dignity, community, family. It was just painfully difficult for me to find a woman who related to this. It just seems like from my vantage point, that people now treat dating like a buffet. They line up a dozen people, and there almost isn't even an intent on any of these encounters to work anymore. It just becomes this addiction of going out on a date. Looking for the perfect match. Just to give a good idea, I went on this date with a gorgeous red head. I couldn't believe she was single, let alone that I got her phone number. She had a career, was insanely smart, and seemed level headed. The catch? She got in an argument with a 4 year boyfriend. Literally a disagreement. No yelling, no fighting. Just no agreement. This broke her "perfect relationship". Part of me wanted to hook up, knowing she was rebounding, but part of me also knew she was making a major mistake. The more she talked about him, the more she seemed like she wasn't over him. She confessed they had fought that morning. Long story short, this seemed to be a theme. Looking for perfect. Prince charming. Wanting to be swept off of their feet, but many being bitter at having to babysit men or be a taxi if they were more advanced in their careers. Everything seemed so complicated. Games. Rules. I just felt out of place. I finally met a woman who loved simplicity like I did. I am totally not surprised at the volume of single people who are bitter.

This is inspired by an article about Tik Tok star Adea Danielle. I myself have enjoyed some of her content, but to give a bit of clarification. She prefers to let someone know she is trans once she is certain things will progress vs just a date and moving on. She has received backlash for this, which begs the question. Is refusing to disclose you are trans underhanded? Lying? She is clearly highly passable and beautiful, so some men wouldn't be any wiser. Is this deceptive? She also recently detailed an assault she suffered from disclosing she was trans to a man she did want to progress with. What's your take? Is it more a timing thing, or a it doesn't matter thing? Or outright, it should be known ahead of time? Should ones being trans be disclosed while dating?

Exactly. You're robbing them of the ability to think critically. You're teaching them to be soft, and lost the moment anything deviates from the written instructions. -
More Liberal lies about the carbon taxes...
Perspektiv replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Tell that to your delivery driver, when you order via Uber eats. Some people literally cannot afford not to drive, but have zero alternatives. With your logic, costing them double in fuel helps. Reality, is they must pass on the costs to your grocery store. So that "fuel", becomes a 7$ dozen of eggs, when it used to be 3,99$. It means a family on the brink, is pushed over it. Homelessness is skyrocketing. Gaps between the rich and poor are widening. All you can think of is fuel. I can bike to work, but if your city is Vancouver, and you live in a rural area outside of it, its not an option. "Just move" if thats your logic, the reason you would move outside the city is because you can't afford it. You're displaying why policies based on emotions vs research and logic don't work. -
You will find out in 2024. If thats what you want to call it.

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.
Perspektiv replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
Yummy, grinds still in it, and all. Goes great with calcinated toast and past before date creamer. I still don't understand its benefit. Someone please explain. How is this not just using fear mongering to justify gouging us? -
Its biology. I prefer going by logic and biology. You're free to go by any other means that you would like. I side with the doctors that aren't afraid of calling this movement for what it is. Until my last dying breath I refuse to pretend a man with a dress on is magically a woman. Sorry. They aren't. Never will be. Like I said in another thread. You see a woman. I see a Fiero with a Ferrari kit. Its not the same, and am not the type of person who can be gaslit. If I saw one breastfeeding, I won't tell them its because they aren't pregnant. Its because you don't have breasts. Once people like me die off, you can create genders all you like, and get zero political push back. Until then, those of us who are still sane, will do our talking through our votes. Thats the thing. Am not the one who has defined woman and man ever since humanity began. If I did, you would have a point. Am basing it on hundreds of years worth of studying of the human anatomy. I won't change my language because activists in the 90s were able to begin convincing people that gender was offensive and needed to be change, minus the evidence of it actually requiring it. Look. You will never change my mind. I hear your points, but I will believe in the gender binary, until someone shows me something believable, otherwise. Not something that changes per each individual telling me it. To me, that's a sign of people not knowing what they are talking about.

Perspektiv replied to Boges's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
I don't, hence the inconvenience. But the carbon tax will have me biking all summer, so should thank Trudeau for making me fit. -
A lot of people reject the word breastfeeding. What's your point? My wife doesn't chest feed. She has breasts. She breastfeeds. She creates milk. All intricacies of being a biological woman. Rejecting something because it offends you, doesn't stop making it fact. Using "inclusive" language where facts are blurred, doesn't make things factual. If I put on 200lbs, I would be fat. Morbidly so. Changing language or calling people fat shamers, or pushing for fat acceptance, doesn't change the health repercussions of my decisions. Facts don't care about feelings. This is what the world has started to do with the trans community. But when you start demanding to play with women in adult competitive leagues, or shower or be jailed with them (being non passable, or worse, still having male parts), the ignoring becomes a bit more difficult, as its at the expense of another marginalized group. Progress to some. We disagree strongly, as this is taking all advances women have made and turning them into a joke. I do better. I vote for voices that are in agreement with logic.

I see it like when a white person I knew, told me they were blacker than me. One issue. My skin color is black. Okay, so you act stereotypically black by American standards. Good for you, you're still white. But they were convinced they were black. I was white, and am the whitest black man he had ever met. Again. This is the logic we are working with. Just because someone tells me am white, then am white. If they feel black, then they are black. Some activists would argue that race isn't the same as gender. But again, can't come to a consensus as to how many genders that there are. That is the epitome of extremism. You can't demonstrate what you're talking about, and push to silence or crush dissenting views as harmful to those who are vulnerable, yet murder rates in neighborhoods which have minorities as a predominant demographic have gone up. This is just the way it is.
-
So now we find the crux of where we disagree. There are two genders. One anomaly. This is easily demonstrable. This is my set in stone belief. Again--demonstrable. Differences between women and men. I could list dozens. Easily demonstrable. Am all ears if you can demonstrate what you're talking about with actual evidence. Quite demonstrably so. Correct there are two. Gender always has been, and should remain as such. If I demanded you stop calling me perspektiv and that you respect my blackness by calling me Gogo Chocolate Daddy™. What would you say, noting that refusing made you racist? And that I was a penguin. If I felt it, even for a day, it was fair game. No longer there was a need to have a standard, and this included legal documents. So moving forwards, my passport would read my new name, and my gender was "penguin". Questioning makes you transphobic. They have little. Its just disturbing that so much of their garbage is infiltrating school systems. In this case we are eluding to political extremists.

Am against some of those trade offs, if they put the rights of trans women over the rights of biological women. He's mixed race. Drake is mixed race. Obama is black when playing politics. They focused heavily on his African roots. He is free to identify as black or white, but his appearance, his DNA is mixed, whether he likes it or not. I know what you're trying to do, but I operate on logic. The day politics makes a return to that, vs divisiveness and playing politics, I will be a happy man. Today's logic, is if Obama identified as white, then he is white. Even though his daughters appearance disproves of this to begin with. Again, if he told me he was white, I would smile and agree. We are a country of people who have smiled and agreed but some are saying "enough already".
-
I support human rights, not trans rights. Trans peoples rights should be respected of course, but not at the expense of others. IE jailing trans women with biological women. This support of trans rights is at the expense of biological women. I strongly disagree with this. The right to use the washroom or showers with the gender you identify as. Again. Strong disagree. Your right to feel safe, doesn't and shouldn't trump the right of a biological woman of the same right. If you can't answer a simple question like how many genders are there, or what a woman is, if trans women are women, then I can see a handful of reasons.
-
I support human rights. Thats not support of trans politics. I prefer going by biology, which is where we disagree.
-
Anonymity. We see people afraid to describe the word woman in public. This is where we are socially. Extremists fighting under guise of activism. Activists are fine. How many genders do you believe that there are? Should a trans woman be jailed with biological women? Are you for or against the use of cis male or female, vs biological? This sort of answers your question. If not relevant to you, consider us agreeing to disagree on the subject.

How Canadians are being screwed by foreign workers
Perspektiv replied to I am Groot's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I didn't care what he had to say. I broke covid lockdown rules, daily as did my neighbors. We would take power walks, and do groceries 3 to 5 times a day. If there was a risk of arrest, I was good with it, as being locked in too would have been me losing my marbles. We did our own thing. I was eluding more for the backlash for openly doing so. It was taboo.
