  1. Can't imagine why anyone would complain about foreign labour when rural industries like uh... fast food restaurants need them so desperately!
  2. If someone you loved was murdered I bet you'd want the punishment to hurt whoever did it.
  3. Our laws are poorly formulated. Laws such as 'attempted murder' are virtually never prosecuted because it's almost impossible to satisfy the conditions without a confession. "You shot that man six times in the chest. That's attempted murder!" "Naw. I wasn't trying to kill him." "Not guilty!" Examine the retardation level of this Trudeau judge, if you will. He sees before him a career criminal, a man with two separate firearm prohibitions which he both ignored who chased a man down, shooting him in the chest and killing him. Murder? Nope. Manslaughter. Why? Because he'd been drinking. So what? That's not an excuse for raping someone. Why is it an excuse for murdering someone? Is this not amazing? He's not 'convinced' that he intended to harm someone by shooting himin the chest! “I accepted the evidence of the defendant that he lost his cool, wasn’t himself and had been drinking. I was not satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that he intended to kill him when he shot him. Nor was I convinced if he shot him, (that he knew) he was likely to cause bodily harm,” Brown said in his reasons for sentence. https://globalnews.ca/news/11432663/abilaziz-mohamed-sentencing/
  4. Our system was a lot more right-wing and unforgiving when I was a teenager than it is now. Yet I was working in a bar smack downtown and would walk home at 2AM, a distance of some twenty blocks or so, and never see a homeless person nor have the least fear of crime. The solution then was vagrancy laws, locking up drug users/abusers, and mental health hospitals for crazy people. I think we need more of these.
  5. You seem to be living in a prosperous corner of the country. Not everyone is so lucky.
  6. Muslims are members of a religious and ideological group that despises and wishes to destroy everything herbie believes in, but who he has to slavishly defend because he perceives that they are brown.
  7. Our immigration has been too high since Mulroney nearly tripled it in the mid-1980s because he was informed that immigrants from places without a culture/tradition of democracy would become lifelong party supporters out of gratitude once they gained citizenship. That's why Immigration Canada warned in a report that Canada was losing its absorptive capacity. Of course they do! Every authority has been telling them it is for the last fifty years, reinforcing that with anathematizing anyone who expressed even the slightest doubt about it. Admitting they were wrong, as the British, Germans, and French did, is not in them. They lack that courage. They cling to the belief despite zero evidence that multiculturalism is doing anything good for this country and plenty of evidence that it's doing harm.
  8. Immigration was too high in 2015. That's why Immigration Canada warned we were losing our absorptive capacity. It's far too high now with no plans for any substantial decrease.
  9. It would have done us better than importing millions of Indians. I'm richer than I ever thought I would be. I own a detached home with no mortgage and two condos. But I don't see enough people like me around. I see the institutions, traditions and values of my youth fallen and gone, along with semi-honest government that cared more about the country than itself. Maybe it's the curse of conservatives to always have a wary eye on tomorrow, like the wise squirrel, while liberals, like the foolish squirrel, just wants to play in the autumn sun and not worry about what happens in the future. I don't see anything good coming to this country in the future. Even excrement is at least good for growing turnips.
  10. The ones who told Harper that just pushing the retirement age back two years would be just as good? So he did? And then Trudeau said "Happy times are here again! Vote for me! I'll give you whatever you want and not make you pay for it!"
  11. It's the Left that has enthusiastically embraced uncontrolled mass immigration for decades. And that's your club. The only people protesting against it are on the Right, and the Left nearly universally despises them for it.
  12. But it's doing the exact opposite all over the Western world. Throughout Europe, the far right are thriving due to the mass immigration and policies in place. France might soon wind up with a far-right government, and that would probably crash the EU altogether. Even so, the French government won't even consider changing its laws to kick out all the unwanted, illegal migrants. DEI isn't a huge issue when used with restraint and there's a very small number of people subject to it. When half the country now benefits from it at the expense of the other half, it's unsurprising that the other half will start getting angry.
  13. No hordes of homeless migrants in the streets. No terrorist incidents. Low crime rate. Low rate of sexual assault. Fewer divisions in society. More unity.
  14. Or competence. Yes, we get it. It's about elevating people who would not otherwise qualify because they're just not as good as others. The Liberal cabinet being an excellent example.
  15. He is merely mocking him as the Left does to any complaint about DEI, immigration and multiculturalism. They are not capable of accepting much less debating such concepts. They're like religious values that are so tightly constricting their minds they can't imagine they could be wrong. Whenever Michael's cherished leftist social views are challenged, he tends to get smarmy.
  16. Gee, fancy that. You keep bringing in millions of poor people from the third world who have few hopes of ever getting out of poverty and somehow inequality rises! Wow!
  17. To put it as kindly as I can, you have WILDLY misread the statistics.
  18. Visible minorities are mostly the ones discriminating against others. They come from countries where extreme misogyny, racism, homophobia, and religious bigotry are the societal norm. And we've told them not to bother trying to assimilate or change their culture. The point that went over your empty head is that statistical evidence about different outcomes for different groups fail utterly when those groups were born and raised in foreign cultures, with foreign interests and foreign educations. They don't necessarily want what we want, nor have the skills, including language skills, to get it if they do. It's pretty basic sense, except for the Left, who don't have any.
  19. A part of me, just a small part, can't wait until the non-white immigrants, the ones we've urged not to integrate, told our culture is shit, and told to keep their own culture, start stomping on the things the Canadian Left has held dear for decades. Gay marriage? No longer recognized. Gay rights? Gone. Women's rights? Gone. Antiracism programs to ensure equitable hiring? Once they're the majority - gone. Sorry, white boy, we only hire good Indians/Pakistanis/Muslims/Chinese. Freedom of speech? Gone. Though I doubt the Left will miss it, as they despised it so much. Then herbie and the rest of the left will fume and fulminate and take to the streets to discover the police are no longer the kind and gentle type who stand by as you occupy buildings and close down roads. Now they'll kick your ass and throw you into jail. Oh, the Charter will protect you? Think again. Didn't protect the convoy clowns and it'll protect you even less in the new Canada.
  20. Now tell me how Canada is better today for having double the population.
  21. But a low birth rate is the product of both culture and economics. The government could try to make it easier for couples to have children. Instead, it's making it harder by pouring in millions of immigrants to lower wages and increase housing and other costs. Reproductive rates can be reversed. And the doom and gloom talk of what happens if the population decreases for a few decades does not appear born out in reality. New studies show a diminishing population could be a good thing, despite some short-term economic turmoil. The Liberals bragged about holding wages down with high immigration and foreign workers only a couple of years back.
  22. Sooo you're saying the entire DEI thing is just a spiteful way for the Left to taunt the Right and increase division and serves no useful purpose? And yet you have ZERO evidence of it. None. All this talk of 'systemic' racism just means 'we can't find any but we know it's there!" And I note that the places that are most certain there's massive racism are the places the Left have been running for decades. The federal government has had racial hiring quotas for a long time and tons of expensive quotas on discrimination, diversity, equity and antiracism. Yet they claim every single federal department and agency is systemically racist! Maybe it's the Left that causes and incites racism.
  23. Or... people have been reporting it less because the courts have pretty much given up on enforcing a lot of minor laws, especially against 'marginalized' groups. You know, the ones who commit most of the crime. The last survey was done last year. But the government has not released it yet - a week from October.
  24. To quote from Jonathan Haidt, a very intelligent and mild-mannered, unpolitical social scientist, "You can have diversity within a shared sense of identity, and if you don't have that shared sense of identity, it's going to be very divisive." So if you have entirely different cultures, you're going to have entirely different values and no shared sense of identity. Canadians are humans. The book on human psychology is clear. Humans prefer living, working with, and associating with people who are very much like themselves. Canadians who are left of center and who pretty much own the public square all love multiculturalism. The rest do not.
