Called the dentist yesterday for an appointment. Going in today. The only part of our healthcare system that actually functions properly. No shortage of dentists or dental technicians. No shortage of specialists and oral surgeons. No waiting.

Are you implying that privatizing a service creates better service? Much of the Healthcare system is privately run, they just bill the province instead of the patient.

Many people, millions can't get a family doctor at all. Others who do find they have to wait weeks or months for an appointment, and many months longer for an appointment to see a specialist.

I don't have a problem getting an appointment with my GP but a quarter of the people in my province can't get a family doctor, they have to rely on walk in clinics or plug up ER's. We need to change our system so it attracts people, not drive them out of general practice.
