Canada's military, how impressive it really is.
ExFlyer replied to Army Guy's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We already have an Equal Opportunities Act that requires the Military and all others to provide opportunities that is being asked for. Nothing more is needed except to encourage people to join up.... and therein lies the problem. "The purpose of this Act is to achieve equality in the workplace so that no person shall be denied employment opportunities or benefits for reasons unrelated to ability and, in the fulfilment of that goal, to correct the conditions of disadvantage in employment experienced by women, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities by giving effect to the principle that employment equity means more than treating persons in the same way but also requires special measures and the accommodation of differences" -
And then there is the topic of Mass Shootings in the US? LOL It is so amusing that no matter the topic is, it always becomes a pissing contest between lefties and righties LOL
-
Didn't 9/11 start it all with muslims??
-
OK, you were just getting something off your chest. Just had to say something. The US is not doing anything different than any other country. As for guns from the US, well, Canada has no handgun makers.
-
You make statements and are questioned on them so yea, it is your problem. You cannot accuse others of avoiding and then avoid yourself. Look, you said, "Try looking at some other countries approach. " in regards to mass shootings. I am curious and interested why you said that and what other countries approach is. You seem to indicate they do things differently and allude they do not have this problem. Please share.
-
Execution was only a comment, not asking what country did or did not. And the US has certain states that have the death penalty. The question still is, "What are other country's approach? "
-
Give it up Dude (or Dudette because you are starting to whine like a wounded woman LOL). The definitions are there, you may not like em but they are there and used accordingly. If you are so intellectually challenged not to accept the official definition, then it disqualifies you from commenting about the topic, let alone the definition. Getting put in your place may hurt your feelings but the facts have been presented to you often enough. Your tin foil hat may prevent any facts from entering LOL
-
What are other country's approach? Execution? Do other countries even have such a problem as the US does with mass shootings? As I have said, I am not against gun ownership nor the 2nd Amendment. There are quire a few victim resources, including financial.

Yeah OK LOL Some folks will argue anything even when proven wrong just to save face.... you are definitely one of them LOL Suck it up, you are wrong and your horse is dead. Move on..... on foot
-
Oh, the dictionary and FBI and government official definitions don't align with your perspective so they are wrong? LOL Sometimes the horse you are riding is going in the wrong direction and the real world is behind you .

The worst thing ever. How can you force people to join a military short of conscription? If there are few women, minorities or other, then is is because the Military has nothing to offer them as a career. There is not even enough pride in this Nation to encourage people to join in to protect and serve and work for the Country (politics aside). As for the Ombudsman stepping into this fray, that is totally unacceptable. He is not there to recruit or to diversify the Military, he is there to assist the serving ranks. Gary Walborne was the only Ombudsman that actually tried to help the service people. His predecessor became political and his successor certainly is. Politics are the reason Gary is gone. -
Some people just do not accept the facts even when they are fed to them and hey, some people just wish to remain uninformed too as it does not align with their misinformation.
-
If you are going to make statements like "MAYBE they should try some things that will actually WORK" then you need to have context otherwise you just blow smoke and are no better than the critics on this forum that you constantly disagree with.
-
And what would that be?
-
Sure tough for some to stay on the topic of Truckers Convoy LOL
-
Ha, disqualified? From what? Your version? I only post factual links. Yours are without fact opinions and you know what the say about your opinions....LOL
-
I didn't make up the definition. It is in the dictionary. Take your disagreement to them, see how much they care about your take on it. LOL https://blog.authenticjourneys.info/2019/03/what-or-who-is-new-american.html

Enlightenment, Libertarian, 18th Century has Won
ExFlyer replied to August1991's topic in The Rest of the World
Vietnam was a loss. Not comparable to any other skirmish. They plain lost. America won the cold war? How? When? The relationship is now worse than it has ever been. We could not freely travel before? Baloney. -
Del Duca forgot how badly the liberals messed up Ontario then and for the future. He had a horrible debate. Horwath does nothing but complain and promise everything for everyone. Same old, same old. The Green guy forgot that it was not just the Nurses that got a 1% pay freeze with Bill 124. That was his only point (or the one he constantly repeated). Ford actually came out of it relatively unscathed. Best line of the night was Ford telling Del Duca that ""Under yourself and the former premier Kathleen Wynne, you destroyed this province. The economy was going downhill quicker than the Canadian bobsled team." "
