Had this conversation with the wife. I have always believed that the West brought the absolute best in everything to the world and nothing can shine a light to it. The argument began on the top of colonialism, which was indeed bad in many ways, but the nations who benefited from it are now better than they were. Who would not want to inherit the Western capitalist traditions and riches that the West created? Indeed, as bad as the residential schools were you have to admit we dragged millions of natives on the continent into a new exciting world of the West. The wife's argument was what is different is not better. And she is right. The different societies the West encountered were different but not better. In South East Asia we brought millions out of poverty. The entire world is richer than it ever was with the exception of Africa.

I also contend the USA, like the rest of the world is much farther left than it was in Reagan's days. My positions have never wavered from being conservative but now my ideas are considered downright Nazi. That is how far left politics have skewed.

This topic seems to be going nowhere. Fact is Roberts has consistently sided with liberal justices. So it is unlikely to be over turned. The real issue is this is a win win for Democrats. I have to admit I don't know what to think of this post. I do lean towards worrying about defeating our own dictator rather than putting resources into the Ukraine. Zelensky and company had no qualms about inventing the pee tape slander against Trump. They gambled by siding with the Democrats and lost.

I can only imagine that Russia has managed to weaken its image in the eyes of world in regards to the prowess of its military. The fact the Ukraine has fought off their army for these long weeks and has made some hits inside Russia itself, really defeats Russia's image as a major world power with a world class military.

The worst are the doctors. They know better than anyone they are terminating a baby. They are basically nothing more than contract killers.
