The average wage is somewhat pulled down by the minimum wage. $15/hr is 31,2K a year. If you go by wages that people can live on and would work at it wouldn't be so skewed. $190K is damn nice, but not that great for more senior management positions. I did date a woman who walked away from her job cuz they wouldn't go over $130 and she knew well the guy she replaced was getting $175K and that was 15 years ago. I wish I'd ever earned anywhere near that!

Ontario needs to invest in EVs as a realistic Option.

Oh FFS the wood that made your house was stolen off Indian lands. Give up the deflection. I happen to live where about 300 logging trucks a day go to the sawmill near Quesnel. So do the train tracks from here, but they insist trucking is more economical. We also saw diesel spike to nearly $3/L and that didn't stop them, and not a penny of that increase was carbon tax. Things change, people will adjust, and you will too. They'll have 1200hp Dodge Chargers out there soon enough. Who the hell cares what it runs on? -

What does murdering a robber have to do with protecting children? The state doesn't execute thieves, but you have a right to? -

What is the moral justification of labelling them as 'animals'? -
Average backbencher salary is $190K (from taxpayers fed site), about what the CAO of a small sawmill would make. The idea that paying them less would make things better is as stupid as electing a billionaire thinking he'd be there to help the common worker.

Some people imagine you can influence others by totally ignoring them.

Most of democracy's criticism comes from those who 'think' they are the majority, which these days seems to think is the group that makes the most noise, where in the past they thought it was silent.

Just as you keep claiming the mere lip service the Liberals spout as extreme environmentalism? Hmm there's still billions of tax incentives shelled out for oil companies. How many abandoned or spent wells in Alberta were cleaned up without using your tax dollars? Do you need 2 hands to count them? -

That's perfect. If we ever get a republic, we should use that model. A President that's only ceremonial you say? That's perfect. Fly around shaking hands, sign things handed to them... perfect. Far better than an illiterate lout that lies, cheats, cons, pronounces new law by sole authourity and has no sense of shame zooming about the world making the country look like the Mickey Mouse club President.

Get with the program. They steal the jobs you don't want anyway, somehow get to collect welfare you pay for at the same time and get to vote while they throw yours away, and none of them are Baptists! /s -
Good God are you like 9? Everybody knows the words "Democratic Republic" means NOT. And WTF with the 10th Century thinking that countries with Monarchs can't be considered democracies? The only thing Chucky can do that you can't is drive through Ottawa with a free police escort. The Emperor of Japan's been just as useless since 1945. You get a VOTE, they don't.
