  1. The man abhors the One True Church. Ignore the heretic. LOL
  2. What have what Mexicans hold as idols have to do with the cost of the Pope's visit to Canada? Absolutely nothing whatsoever. If you want to start a discussion you can't just tie two completely unrelated subjects together like a cheap Internet meme and pretend they're connected. You've already lost an argument/discussion if you start with a 'whataboutism'.
  3. Criminal law is federal, and Judges are bound to act on federal law and Supreme Court rulings, not on the ldesires of Mayors, Premiers and Provincial prosecutors. RUlings must come from the top... and that's overdue. Add in the fact you do not hear about rulings that aren't the revolving door as that's the norm and not news. I have noticed in the weekly paper that still does the court reports there's a lot more of the local cases getting time compared to a year ago. But the one that didn't is still headline on Page 1, not buried on Page 16 with the rest. The scumbag down the street finally had to beat a girl to death to get locked up after years of dealing, assaults, even chasing people down the street with axes and being back there doing it again a day later....
  4. And when the wife worked at the pub, they weren't allowed to see those electronic receipts. The Boss "said" how much got put into the tip pool, and even the Boss got a cut, and the bookeeper. So I always do cash, the server can decide to toss it in the pool or slip it in their pocket.
  5. Last night went for dinner and the tip option on the debit machine started with an 18% minimum. I never do that, always tip with cash. It's for the server, NOT the kitchen staff, the cleaner, or thru the debit machine where the owner just steals it.
  6. Let's all just post 9 irrelevant trivia and pretend they have something to do with our supposition. Then claim everone else is a loony
  7. $800 million settlement so that the even worse wouldn't exposed in court and you're still bawling about voter fraud. Go choke on your My Pillow.
  8. I don't like it either, but that's how things work. Only the stupidest, blindest and the outright liars could comment that's the fault of liberals and leftists, VW is playing countries off against each other just like most corporate interests do with large investments. At least we're being told these are subsidies, we aren't paying a full $13 billion out of gov't funds, most of it will cost us future tax revenue not cash out of pocket like a lot of people seem to think. We could also gut labour laws, give free land, loosen child labour laws and deny flat outright that it was subsidizing like some Goober State we had to compete against for the plant. Justin's Daddy would've used the $13 billion to open a public corporation battery plant that employed the same workers, returned profits to the public and forced the corporations to compete against it. But Oh No! that's communism like PetroCanada was, we can't do that, its bad mmmkay?
  9. Barbershop quartet returns: Who took the fun out of fun-damental? ♪♪
  10. Sadly true. But don't you get annoyed by fundamentalists questioning your own morals if you don't condemn non-traditional groups? barber shop quartet: Who put the mental in fundamental?
  11. WhyTF does every thread degenerate into rants about trannies? What's the obscene fixation with the subject? And who the hell has the right to judge what someone else does with their body?
  12. Women should be grateful that when they notice they're a couple days late you'll "let" them have a week or 10 days to act, eh?
  13. Tits are for kids
  14. Yes, only media owned by billionaires delivers the truth. CBC, BBC, ABC, NPR, PBS are all lies, right?
  15. So there's two of you ass backwards lunatics, eh? Fascists are communists, progressive is regressive, anti abortion and pro capital punishment go hand in hand, the solution to gun violence is to give more people more guns, educate your kids by banning books. Such deep thinkers, such role models.
  16. Me the kiddo? When you turn 21 you might learn repeating "You lied. You lied. You lied" over and over again is not discussion. And understand simple math too. I told you how I did it, how anyone can. Claiming someone said or did what they didn't as the foundation of every single post you make on every subject is extremely childish, grow up already. Troll.
  17. You are as stupidly stubborn as reason10 if you insist an end value of $3M is not triple the original value of $1M. And more so after being told I did not put the entire cost on a credit card several times. Excuse yourself for being thick as a brick. Like a colour blind kid calling everyone else liars for saying the Christmas tree is green.
  18. You can't read or listen, can you? The value went up immediately. The renos cost more than the land & property did. If you bought the right place for $1 million in Vancouver and did $2 million in renos you'd easily have a $3 million property. If you bought a $50K house in the boonies and spent $75K upgrading you could easily have a $150K house. That's triple.* If you live in the house while you do it, the cost of mortgage & borrowing doesn't even count as you would've needed to piddle it away as rent regardless. I've known half a dozen ppl do that over the years. Don't even have to declare it as income when you sell, just live in it for one year. Just what is it you don't get? *unless you fall for gov't style accounting and think the hot dogs that were $3 last summer and $9 this summer means the price only inflated 10%
  19. Seems so damn stuck on American GOP partisan dogma he can't even mention Chow's party affiliation, only his extremist interpretation of what it stands for. I laugh at Canadian dinosaurs who call them socialists instead of NDP. I laugh heartily comrade. They once even claimed to be....
  20. Right you small thinking pinheads, if I'd reno'd the cabin for the same amount it would've only increased in value 50%. It was in a different area of the province and would've been a tiny level of profit compared to here. So I went by the ROI. And sold the cabin at current market for only triple what it cost me to buy, build and maintain for 40 years. I not only own a home mortgage free, I could buy and do the same with the one next door tomorrow. Or just buy it and not reno it and rent it out for double the mortgage cost. Oh but it gets cold here and I can't get sushi thru DoorDash or go see Mick Jagger waddle about in Depends... No ppl I'm not lying, you're stuck in your tiny closed mindset. Don't even realize that "the economy" is money changing hands, regardless of where it came from.
