  5. Hi Greg. Was locked out for a while with password problems. The password change/reset option is not functioning. An email is supposed to be sent with instructions on changing password, the email never gets sent. Also tried to create a new account the same problem occurs, no email is sent. Tried many time to contact with no response, is there a bug?

  10. You know this, stop the poor me act. Factors Contributing to Poor Forest Management Emphasis on Monoculture: Forestry practices that focus on maximizing timber yield, often through clear-cutting and promoting uniform stands of commercially valuable conifer species, can make forests less diverse and more susceptible to pests and diseases. Failure to Adopt Natural Fire Regimes: Recognizing the ecological role of fire, some experts advocate for a more balanced approach, including the controlled use of prescribed burns and wildfire use, to restore more natural fire regimes. Inadequate Funding and Political Will: There are claims that insufficient funding has been allocated to proactive forest management, and that political priorities sometimes override the need for ecologically sound fire prevention measures like prescribed burns. Inadequate Retention Harvesting: Even with improved techniques like retention harvesting, which aims to leave some trees and woody debris after logging, current practices do not adequately replicate the natural ecosystem dynamics that fire would. Fire Suppression and Fuel Buildup: A century of attempting to extinguish all forest fires has inadvertently allowed large amounts of flammable material (fuel) to accumulate. This creates conditions for more severe and widespread fires when they do occur. Consequences of Poor Management Increased Fire Severity: Uniform forests with high fuel loads are more prone to uncontrollable, large-scale wildfires. Reduced Forest Resilience: Less diverse forests are less able to adapt to changing conditions, including climate change. Threats to Communities: The greater risk of catastrophic wildfires poses a significant threat to the safety and well-being of communities located in and around forested areas. Loss of Biodiversity: Practices that create less diverse forests can harm the multitude of species that rely on these ecosystems for survival. Bong leaking"
  11. This has been said many times and yet the "sky is falling pipsqueaks" ignore it every single time.
  12. Why? Because poor forest management and short sided bullshit is climate change?
  13. That's the point, they don't work for most people. For some yes. Remove incentives and that "some" gets smaller.
  14. Refugees in your own country? Quit with the dramatics, your fooling no one.
