I remember the 1980s when the left-wing argument against free trade was that it would be a race to the bottom.

Over 50,000 COVID-19 cases in the US. Daily deaths back over 400. Even prominent Republicans are speaking out against Anti-Vaxxers. They know they're going to have to own this.

Sorry to hear about your guys screwing the pooch so bad with your Covid response in Ontario though.
Hope whoever's in your hospitals gets well soon. You can relieve their tension by telling them there's no real evidence they're in much danger of dying from the variants if they're young and healthy though, if you want.

But since you want to use Canadian stats (or in your case imagined stats) when convenient, I'll see your CNN and give you True North"
" Majority of COVID-19 victims were very old and had serious health problems: StatsCan
The Statistics Canada report, released July 6, found that 94% of all Canadians who died of COVID-19 in 2020 were seniors older than 65. Of those, more than half were over 85 years of age, and the majority were residents of long-term care homes.
This led the report to conclude that those who died from COVID-19 “may have been at a high risk of dying over this period regardless of the pandemic.”
COVID-19 was not the only cause of death.
“Of the 15,300 people who died of COVID-19 between March and December 2020, nearly 9 in 10 had at least one other health condition or complication or another cause listed on the death certificate. Dementia or Alzheimer’s was listed on the death certificate of 36% of COVID-19 death certificates and was particularly common among those age 65 or older.”

On your CBC claim of some organization making guesses about who or how many might have been sick outside old folks homes. Who on earth is "peer reviewing" "studies" based on guesstimates? They can no longer be taken seriously whoever they are.
In any case I'm not sure what guesstimates of imagined possible stats in Canada has to do with your original claim that "US. Daily deaths back over 400" meant something.

Before you write VAERS off as partisan schtick a la WaPo here's who they actually are:
QuoteThe Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) is a United States program for vaccine safety, co-managed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). VAERS is a postmarketing surveillance program, collecting information about adverse events (possible harmful side effects) that occur after administration of vaccines to ascertain whether the risk–benefit ratio is high enough to justify continued use of any particular vaccine
However the same Wikipedia article also tells us this, which is also your complaint:
QuoteCDC cautions that it is generally not possible to find out from VAERS data if a vaccine caused the adverse event, or how common the event might be.[3]
That's fair. But let's remember, the same critique is often made against American death stats in general. Covid toe tags on suicide, murder or accident victims and such.
Comparing the two stats is therefore also fair.

Nonsense. Cases are high in the non-danger age and good health brackets. Those in danger are already mostly vaccinated or already gone.
The variants are causing an uptick in cases but they are less likely to kill and that's why you're not seeing problems in the new deaths graph.
Unless you're trying to tell me I'm blind or can't read a graph.
As to the WaPo piece, If we're going to be showing people articles from partisan media try this one:
