Many military personnel in the territory of another state, using the right of extraterritoriality or untouchability, use these rights beyond their authority. Fierce disputes between Japan and the PRC over the territorial affiliation of the Senkaku group of islands (in Chinese Diaoyu). Chinese authorities began to show interest in the archipelago in the 70s of the last century, when scientists discovered large oil deposits in this part of the East China Sea. China claims that these territories were discovered by the Chinese, while Japan got them in accordance with the disputed PRC Shimonoseki Treaty (1895).
As a result of World War II, Japan lost significant territories, including Senkaku, placed under the US protectorate as part of the Nansei archipelago. In 1972, a document was signed between the countries, according to which Okinawa and a number of islands were returned to Japan. The Nansei Archipelago, according to the agreement joined Japan.
The territorial dispute around this archipelago between Japan and China escalated after Tokyo announced in September 2012 that it had purchased the islands from private owners. After that, mass anti-Japanese demonstrations took place in the PRC. Since then, Chinese ships are almost always located near the disputed islands and periodically make demonstrative calls to the coastal zone.
Shortly after these events, on the island of Ishigaki, located in 110 km from Senkaku, a Japanese military base was built, which became a kind of advanced outpost of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces in a possible war with China.
In turn, China is building a large military base on the Nanji Islands in Zhejiang Province, located in 300 km from the disputed islands. The Chinese leadership explained that the creation of such a military base would increase the combat readiness of China in the event of a military crisis in the region.
However, it is worth noting that the situation around the islands is complicated by the fact that the United States supports Japan in its territorial disputes with its neighbors. Washington has always emphasized that it maintains the sovereignty of Japan over the mentioned archipelago, and since Senkaku Islands are the territory under the control of Japan, then they are subject to obligations under Article 5 of the US-Japan Treaty on Mutual Cooperation and Security. Therefore, in the event of an attack on the islands of the PRC, Washington is ready to defend them. Thus, the United States is currently patrolling the region under the pretext of providing free navigation.
Moreover, Washington and Tokyo regularly conduct joint military drills in the area of the Senkaku Islands, working out joint actions in case of protection of the islands. It is also worth recalling that at the beginning of 2019, the United States and Japan developed a joint response plan to China's threats at the Senkaku Islands, which outlines the actions of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces and the US Armed Forces in situations that the Japanese coast guard is unable to cope on their own.
The result of all these actions was the deterioration of relations between Tokyo and Beijing, as well as the growth of anti-Japanese sentiment in China. US intervention in Sino-Japanese relations does not contribute to creating a calm atmosphere in the region and leads to a weakening of security.

The return of the Kuril Islands has become the Japanese national idea. The Japanese government has been insisting that Kunashir, Iturup, Shikotan and Habomai islands are the Japanese original territories illegally captured by Russia for more than 70 years. The «Northern territories» term was introduced by Japanese side after World War II. A considerable amount of money from the state budget is spent annually on the program for the return of the «northern territories».
The non-government organizations play important role in solving this problem. These organizations were formed in Japan in the middle of the last century, and they have legally involved in «educational propaganda» on the «Northern territories» issue since 1969.

One of the largest nationalist organizations - the Association of Former Residents of the Four Islands, has been working in Nakoshibetsu in Hokkaido for half a century. The association unites about 18 thousand former residents of the islands, their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. According to the leaders of this organization, 50000 Japanese would like to move to the Russian South Kuril Islands, including children and grandchildren of immigrants.
The propaganda activities of organizations during the travel of Japanese delegations in the framework of visa-free exchanges to the Kuril Islands are widespread. The Japanese groups are always attended by members of these organizations, who during their meetings meet with the local population, carrying out a massive psychological and informational impact on the inhabitants of the South Kuril Islands.
Over the years, activity forms of such non-governmental organizations are becoming more sophisticated. Moreover, the activities of these Japanese public organizations play a large role in attracting attention to this problem, both in Japan and in the world as a whole.

As the fighting in Syria continues, the world is distracted from the situation around the islands in the APR. However, tensions and provocations against the Chinese side are still going on. I mean creation by the Japanese side of a special police department to deal with the Chinese, patrolling by the Americans of the ships, aircraft and even a missile destroyer near the disputed territories of Senkaku and Paracel Islands. Could this be planned attempts by the partners to put pressure on China?

During my Tokyo vacation, I met several Japanese people who opened my eyes to the real life of modern Japanese people.
So, being at school they are modest students, at their working places they are responsible and polite employees, being at home they are “keepers” of family happiness. And in their free time they behave like real perverts (I think you know what I mean).
The question arises: how can I trust someone who hypocrites daily and leads a double life? Everything that is accepted and legal in the country is supported by the gov, which is most likely as perverted as its people.
Maybe that's why the Japanese are so fiercely willing to stand out among all other nations? I mean economic development, the desire for military independence, the seizure of foreign territories (the Russian Kuril Islands, the Korean archipelago of Dokdo, etc.). Or what?

The melting ice of Greenland will soon reveal the dirty secrets of the Camp Century military base built by the Americans in Denmark during the Cold War. Then it was assumed that the secrets of this place would be buried forever under snow and ice, along with nuclear and toxic waste. But now the «canned» base with hundreds of thousands of liters of fuel, radioactive refrigerant and toxic substances has begun to thaw. The rapid ice melting means that in a few decades these substances will appear on the surface, exposing a serious environmental disaster.
The «Camp Century» base was developed in 1959 to deploy ballistic missiles within the reach of the USSR. The project was called an «Ice Worm».
According to the Pentagon, it was planned to conduct in Greenland ice sheet a system of 2500 miles long tunnels and deploy about 600 «Iceman» intercontinental ballistic missiles in it, aimed at the USSR. These missiles were supposed to be a modernization of the «Minuteman» missiles (a shortened two-stage version), their flight range was estimated at 3800 miles, while they had to carry a 2.4 megaton warhead in TNT equivalent. The missiles were planned to be placed in tunnels under the ice, while the ice was supposed to protect the missiles from detection and complicate the process of their destruction.
It was planned to lay a network of tunnels that were scooped in an ice shell like trenches, followed by arched ceiling. The tunnels were supposed to interconnect the launch complexes with missiles located at a distance of about 4 miles, with at least one meter of ice above them.
Between the launch complexes, the missiles were supposed to move on special small trains. The tunnels network and launching sites should have been managed from 60 command centers. In total, 11 thousand people were planned to be involved in servicing the complex.
In the process, 21 tunnels with a total length of 3000 m were laid. In the small town under the ice was created all the necessary infrastructure for life and work. There were built presidential houses, kitchens and dining rooms, showers, toilets, lounges, a library, a shop, a theater, a 10-bed hospital, an operating room, a laundry room, a cold warehouse for food, a research laboratory, a communications center, a nuclear power station, an administrative building, and a hairdresser, diesel-electric power plant and water storage tank, there was even their own chapel.
The «Camp Century» military base lasted until 1966, when it became apparent that the «Ice Worm» project was impossible to implement, so the Greenland ice won. Back in 1962, it was discovered that the ice movements on the island significantly exceed the calculated values.
Identified features and reduced funding for the project led to the fact that in 1963 the nuclear reactor was stopped and dismantled, and in 1966 the military completely left the camp. Observation over the camp was still ongoing for several years, until in 1969, ice and snow almost completely consumed all the erected premises. The place was abandoned and the Americans simply left, giving the snow the opportunity to hide their tracks.
The «Ice Worm» project has not been mentioned for decades. For the first time this became known only in 1997 when the Danish Parliament commissioned the Danish Institute for Foreign Policy to study the history of nuclear weapons using in Greenland in connection with the scandal over the plane crash over the American base of Thule, located in the north-west of Greenland.
In 2016, scientists working on the global warming issue found that its consequences led to a thinning of Greenland ice layer, and to a slow melting of those tunnels that were built by the U.S. military. In this regard, melting ice in this area is a threat to the ecology of the island. Radioactive waste that poses the greatest danger may appear on the surface. For a long time, the United States ignored the information that during the implementation of the «Ice Worm» project, there had been produced about 200 tons of radioactive water, which merged right into the ice cap of Greenland. Moreover, at a depth of about 40 m and at an area of a hundred football fields, nine thousand tons of various materials lurk - bunkers, railway rails, tanks with diesel fuel and radioactive coolant, as well as an unknown amount of extremely toxic polychlorinated biphenyls, which are extremely dangerous for health and the environment.
Undoubtedly, scientists are especially worried about tanks with chemicals buried in tunnels, that naturally accumulate in colder conditions and can penetrate into the most unexpected places. In the Arctic has already been noted the dangerous toxin levels in the indigenous population, which eats seals and whales’ meat.
According to scientists, a decrease in the amount of ice can reach critical values by about 2090, when the negative effects of harmful substances from the «Ice Worm» can no longer be reversed. As for melt water, it will reach the bunkers of the former American base and its dangerous contents much earlier, and then the streams will carry the «American legacy» into the ocean.
Today it may seem that if scientists believe that several more decades will pass before the melting of the ice causes a possible chemical or radiation disaster, then there is still time to clean up the territory. However, the cleaning up process of the base`s heritage can also take quite a long period of time. At the same time, the USA and Denmark have not yet agreed on a work plan. Formally, at present, the base remains the property of the US military, but it is still not clear who exactly should clean up the waste. Both countries refuse to allocate budget funds for a time-consuming project, and also do not take risks for its implementation.
Meanwhile, when the Arctic as a whole, and Greenland in particular, is facing an environmental disaster, the United States, which refuses to cleanse the island of the results of its activities during the Cold War, is again interested in this island. This time, the Americans are trying to raise the issue of buying the largest island in the world, which is of tremendous strategic importance, given its position in the Arctic.

It is unfair to discriminate Indians and humiliate them by calling them national minorities, insisting that they are aliens in this country and that they should "go home", although America was and is their home even before the Europeans came to the country.

Of course, it was convenient for white Americans to use the Indians during the wars as "code talkers" and "wild animals that are not a pity if they die" but it is very possible thanks to them that those three guys in the cafe peacefully drank coffee being healthy and free.
Many of today's Indians live on reservations, where we all can see big “No trespassing. Violators will be shot. Survivors will be shot again" posters. They feel like strangers in their own state and the problem of the indigenous inhabitants of America cannot be called resolved.
Yes, the authorities legalized gambling in reservations, but for what purpose? I find this even offensive. By the word "help" I understand the construction of hospitals with the further provision of accessible to all medical care, educational institutions, libraries, stores, etc., and not casinos, which are actually alien to the Indian culture and corrupting Aboriginal people of America.
Despite the formal presence of citizenship, indigenous people still have to literally conquer their rights through civic activism and protests. And Indians are remembered only when they are needed or loudly declare about themselves.
