It will add $18 to delivering a bulldozer 6 years from now. How much per bag is $18 for a truck full of potato chips? SaveOn pulled this shit all the time explaining $1 extra for jugs of milk 20 years ago. Nice simple example for simple people like the use of 23% increase was.
IOW it will add a little but barely noticeable overall. And agin, so what. That's the point: to get fossil fuel use to decline including for transport trucks. You think that trucking companies are stubborn asses like most people and just simply refuse to adapt because they don't want to when they're actually always considering their bottom line? They're already adapting to every fuel extending tech out there, always have been.
With your love affair with the Justin/Liberal gong show is touching. Perhaps you could pre-pay your hundreds of dollars in carbon taxes just to give Justin a vote of confidence that his policies are great . . .

No, I'm the Greenie that protests unsustainable fishing and logging that governments allow to happen.
The flip side of the coin that says overfishing/logging etc says government mismanagement.
Green Party of Canada . . . founded forty-one (41) years ago, one (1) seat in the House of Commons.
A force to be reckoned with . . . .

I know voting Green will likely accomplish little, but for me voting for them remains the only appropriate choice given the circumstance the planet and my grandkids will find themselves in.
I'll likely be retired by the time we have our next election and I'm planning on using my time to campaign for them.
You drag, troll, seine, and gill net . . . . kill thousands of off species, yet you proclaim to be green. Ahhh, ok, why not? Fish till everything is closed . . .
Aren't you pseudo Green's' the deadbeats that protest fishing, logging, or any industry that pays the bills and finances infra-structure . . . . yeah eyeball, you're a piece of work. Make your grandkids proud.

Like I've been saying, when it's obvious that PP is as useless as Trudeau halfway thru his 1st term, it'll be all over but the whining.
Hopefully when the pendulum roars past him it'll swing straight by the Liberals and we can finally get a real left - wing government in Ottawa.
You're a piece of work eyeball . . . . how could any elected Canadian federal government be worse than what's in Ottawa now. PP has to do very little to be a 100% improvement over the Jughead/Justin - - Edgar Bergen/Charlie McCarthy duo.
-
Fuel up, Jughead, Justin, and that 'wonder of wonders' . . . un-elected David Eby will smile. They're getting raises!
We're the April Fools joke here . . . . cure: tar & feathers.

I used to live 4 miles from the truck crossing, went down there all the time to crab fish off the dock, shop, hit the restaurants. The dollar was 69¢ at the time. Had propane vehicles, that cost more there at the time if you could even find auto propane.
Friends would buy new tires, cruise around gravel lots dirtying them up. One got stopped at the border cuz he did that without realizing he was line of sight from the crossing! Still; had the nubs on his tires.
Our trick was to hide the booze in the diaper bag and the kids would all be tired and whiney on the way home. Almost always they just nodded and waved us through. Never once did they even go inside the travel trailer or the camper we had before that.Wow . . . a lawbreaker.

When I bring up the question of Mr. Poilievre's honesty, I don't mean to infer making false promises is a detriment to electoral success. In 1980, Pierre Trudeau promised to twin the railroad from sea to sea. Stephen Harper lied about the income trust issue and stood up in Regina and bald-faced lied about equalization agreements with Saskatchewan.
Joe Clark went on the campaign trail in 1979 promising to privatize PetroCanada, move the Canadian embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, and pay off the deficit left by Trudeau and Turner. As soon as he was appointed to lead a minority government, he set about keeping his promises, so the electorate defeated him. Joe Clark is the only guy who ever defeated a Trudeau, and he was brought down by Social Credit. He was defeated because he was an honest politician.
So, Pierre Polilevre doesn't need to concern himself with the accuracy of his debunked claims about the carbon tax. He will win his super majority in just a few short months and nobody will care if he lied or not.
What's your point ?

I am an undecided voter in a riding where it is a close race between the CPC, the Liberals and the NDP.
Convince me to vote CPC. What will the CPC do?
Better yet, will you continue to try and hide the fact that you've been a Liberal supporter in your every post?

I will save my concerns for those capable of opining more than "F*ck Trudeau" and "Eby's a goof".
Nice try. To link 'F-Trudeau' with 'Eby's a goof' shows the shallowness of your thought. Eby shot himself in the foot by standing with the two most dispicable politicians in Canada. Your fondness for that pairsays a lot about you . . . .

Not nearly as disturbing as your propensity to lie through your teeth either by sheer ignorance or intent.
Eby's a goof . . . only popular in the LML and VI. Caters to the non-producer paper shufflers. Jughead's done in the upcoming federal election . . . dry your tears herbie, go shuffle some papers and maybe you'll feel better about your life choices.

Guessing you're monstrously stupid.
How many f*cking times do you need to hear that BC had a carbon tax long before Trudeau or Singh? Imposed by the BC (not ) Liberals!
Don't blow another gasket herbie . . . . your devotion to Trudeau, Jughead, and Eby is quite disturbing. Eby had his chance to demonstrate with his reptilian indifference to the BC voter that he cares about them.

Guessing BC's premier, David Eby has been given his 'marching orders' from NDP leader Jughead . . . . . 'Do not oppose the pending carbon tax like the other sever premiers' ??
Nice to see an opposing BC political party rising quickly in the polls . . . BC Conservative Party. If Keven Falcon would face the fact that he'll never be the BC premier, and throw his support behind the new party, the NDP would be kicked to the curb very quickly.

I don't think it was about taking down the Liberals in a non-confidence vote, everyone already knew that the NDP is not ready to call an election, financially their coffers are not up to the task, neither is the Liberals . . .
This was about defining to the entire country who was willing to freeze the carbon tax as it stands right now...and the Conservatives did just that....It shows that the other parties are not interested in giving tax payers a break . . .
Now watch what happens in question period as Conservatives hammer this point to the rest of Canada . . .when things get tougher, all the other parties were in favor of raising prices on carbon which in turn will effect every product we consume.
Yes, it was a smart move by Poilievre & Company . . . show Canadians that Jughead & Justin just don't care about the havoc they wreak on the public. Well done Pierre Poilievre !

The bosses of lobbying firms cannot take part in Poilievre's decisions because there is a conflict of interest. He is not prime minister but hopefully he will not because he is not a good man.
