The number of people being hospitalized is greater and the number of people in the ICUs is greater per capita with Omicron. Since more people are catching Omicron, the total number of deaths is pushed up simply because of the greater number of people getting sick with it. So it is foolish to oppose mandates and Covid restrictions because it is still a serious pandemic which is killing lots of people and causing long Covid for many others. A thousand deaths in Ontario in the past month is a lot of deaths. We should be concerned about it and continue to do what we can to protect our fellow man and society.

This convoy is just an excuse for every possible anarchist, anti-government, Communist s__t disturbers, criminal, anti-Covid restrictions malcontents, Marxist anarchists, fascist anarchists and revolutionaries, to raise cain. Now we are finding that a lot of money coming into the GoFundMe campaign is coming from anonymous sources and foreign unidentified sources. There could be a lot of money from unidentified corporations, businesses and extreme right wing groups for example who oppose the Covid restrictions that effect businesses. There could be a lot of money from foreign actors who oppose our democratic system and want to subvert it by causing division and anarchy. It is no "truckers convoy". It is now a convoy of every radical anarchist who has their own agenda. This is particularly true of the GoFundMe campaign. The government should bring in the army and not be caught with their pants down like the Jan.6 riots in the U.S. capital.

Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix are just now giving a Covid-19 update. The work is not done.
Dr. Henry is just going through the history of the battle against Covid, on Global TV, since it began in 2020 for each month. Nobody could question the steps taken. They were the best that were possible with the resources and knowledge available during the pandemic. About 2,588 people died of Covid in B.C. during that time and the health care system has been stretched to the limit. But thousands of lives have been saved and we are learning how to deal with it and 90% of the people have received their first shot.
Dr. Henry is just reminding us how we need to wear our masks, stay home when sick, and we are looking forward to the time hopefully in the near future we can get back to doing more of the things we like to do. She reminds us that Covid will be with us for some time. It is not finished with us yet. Next fall there will be transmission again. She is hoping we will get to the point when we will not need extraordinary public health measures but everyone will take the measures we should as individuals. She says the people of B.C. have followed the public health measures, made it safer for everybody, and our collective action has made a difference.

The Ottawa police announced those who break the law will be prosecuted. This is as it should be. The whole idea of opposing health regulations, restrictions, mandates, masks which have been authorized and ordered by authorities is wrong. Of course those who do not believe in God and the Bible are anarchists. Canada has more than it's share of these people as we are seeing. As I have said before, the turning away from God has it's consequences and a nation without God has no solid foundation and can descend into chaos, anarchy, and self destruct.

Governments have no unlimited privileges to impose restrictions on citizens whenever they like and for however long they wants. All and any restriction must be necessary, accountable and proven to be effective.
This is also an important, even critical test for reason-based democratic governance. If the cases remain under control and no disaster ensues it would be difficult to deny that restrictive policies are unnecessary; not effective and are dragged out beyond reasonable and justifiable artificially, with no oversight or accountability.
The UK under Boris Johnson has been an unmitigated Covid disaster with a huge loss of lives. I wouldn't trust anything BJ says or does. He is now under huge pressure to resign after holding parties during Covid restrictions while everyone else was locked down. We are still in the middle of the pandemic and it still seriously harms a lot of people. Masks, vaccination, and social distancing still make a lot of sense and will for the undetermined future.

90% of Canadians are vaccinated and most don't agree with people not being vaccinated. The great majority of people support mandates. The Conservative Party is self destructing. They started self destructing when they chose O'Toole with his liberal agenda and now they are supporting the anti-mandate, anti-vax people which are only about 10 to 15% of the population. They are really digging themselves into a deep hole which they will never get out of for the foreseeable future. O'Toole and some of the radical anti-Covid restriction MPs in his party are taking them down a losing path. This will not end well for the Conservative Party. I can't see the majority of grass root conservatives, which are generally older people supporting them. Many people over 50 have health issues and can't afford to risk dying from Covid. A poll was done and the largest segment of the population that support the Covid restrictions and mandates are in the older age bracket and 50% of the people below age 35 support the Covid restrictions as well. So I really don't understand O'Toole's reasoning. He is making a grave mistake in supporting the convoy and that gang. They are totally out of touch with reality. Sad.

I think the government and native bands owe it to the public to exhume the remains and determine all the facts in the presence of trustworthy witnesses and forensic experts. The 37 million Canadians had nothing to do with this. Yet the media, politicians, native leaders lay this on everyone continually. We deserve some answers as to what exactly happened and what is the true story behind these alleged unmarked graves. There is contradictions in the media's reporting. One day we heard there were 50 of the 93 graves at the Williams Lake residential that sounded like they were separate from the residential schools students. But the media did not make this clear. Then later the media reported that there are 93 unmarked graves. They show pictures which show a large area of grave markers as if it is a normal cemetery. This just adds more questions about what exactly they are reporting.
There have also been many grave allegations about what went on in the schools but with no clear details and substantiated facts of what exactly happened, how do we know how, when, what and who was involved. The things alleged to have occurred sound like crimes. Why are they not being investigated by the police and proper information being reported through the media? All of this just leaves a lot of unanswered questions and no accountability. This kind of reporting and unproven allegations solves nothing and creates a lot of hostility resulting in things like burning down and vandalizing churches and increased radicalization of progressives who are not even native.
In fact, it has already been stated that the Kamloops graves did have markers on them back in the mid 20th century but they were made of wood and left to rot away. A priest apparently tried to tell people back in the 60s to maintain the graveyard properly, but nobody paid attention. But this is never mentioned by the mainstream media.

People are different in various fundamental ways. They are not the same. It has nothing to do with skin colour or race. Sure people adapt to sports or certain forms of lifestyle, but many retain their ancestral culture. They do not accept our Judeo-Christian culture. Many hardly speak any English and mainly stick to their own ethnic groups who speak their foreign languages. But the problem is they are often open to liberal, Marxist ideas because they do not believe or understand Judeo-Christian beliefs which reject Marxism, progressivism, Socialism. They are open to those ideas which is one reason liberals are so glad to bring millions of them into Canada. Why do you think they have fought civil wars in Africa, Central America and other places. They cling to their tribalist mentality and fall for Marxist ideas and progressivism. A good example is Jagmeet Singh who clings to Sikhism and said the Communist revolution in Cuba lifted the people up. Never mind that it killed thousands of people, imprisoned thousands more, and deprive the people of their fundamental freedoms. He may have even been born in Canada but obviously has the same religious beliefs as his ancestors and doesn't believe or accept conservative values. The NDP is a strong defender of progressivism, abortion on demand, same-sex marriage, etc. The Liberals are much the same, which is why many immigrants support them and Liberals/NDP promote immigrants as their base with all the energy they can.

As for the rest, there is no argument that China seeks to get maximum influence in Canada. Canada's culture is based on western civilization or Judeo-Christian culture, much the same as America and western Europe. So our values and beliefs are basically founded on our European founding fathers, much the same as American values and beliefs (culture). Our culture has been confused and watered down somewhat by the importation of millions of immigrants from the third world who do not share our Judeo-Christian culture. They brought heathen religions and cultures. This is all supposed to be accepted as normal or progress under the banner of multiculturalism. Multiculturalism has been a failure where it has been tried. It leaves us with no core identity and no clear culture. But that is the liberal idea of progress (or progressivism).
The reason it is done is to provide a massive labour pool because liberals and the left don't want to have traditional families and produce many offspring. Or they want to be free to work until most of their child-bearing life is used up and they can only have one child. This means the European founding people will disappear because Caucasian Canadians are not reproducing the minimum 2.1 children per family. This is the liberal idea and the consequences. This is another reason the liberals are setting up $10 a day national childcare. In their mind working women creates a better society than mothers at home looking after their children. If liberals could they would probably embrace a mandatory one-child policy as China did in the past. The ideology fits in better with Communist or Marxist ideology. It would fit in perfectly with Chairman Mao's playbook.
Marxists in Canada are demanding to make everything a right, guaranteed income, housing, food, dental, drugs, etc., anything that will take care of them from cradle to grave. They believe nobody should have to work hard, get an education or skill and support themselves. They believe the state should provide everything. This is the direction Canada is heading.
China's culture and belief system is entirely different. They have become a Marxist-Leninist state and worship Chairman Mao. This means totalitarianism and no personal human rights or democracy. Whatever the collective represented by the Communist Party of China decrees must be the absolute rule. They have no interest in western culture, democracy, or freedoms and human rights. They view such things as anarchy and against the collective. China's system of totalitarianism go back thousands of years. President Xi is a Maoist (Marxist-Leninist) and his ambition is to dominate the world. That means spreading Marxist ideology to other nations. Human rights for individuals and democracy never really took hold in China and it has no chance of taking hold in the foreseeable future. Liberals live under the illusion that they can somehow change China and it will become like a western nation. They are dreaming. It will never happen. Canada is far more likely to become Marxist like China than China become liberal like the west.
American conservatism is more aligned with western traditional values of family, turkey dinner on thanksgiving and Christmas, individual freedom and human rights. It better aligns with our historic Judeo-Christian values. The recent Democrats lean more toward Socialism, liberalism, progressivism, globalism (mass immigration) and multiculturalism and are therefore much like Trudeau and Canadian liberals. So we have a divide that is not good. The influence of Marxism has crept into America, Canada and the west.
Canada has no clear culture of it's own other than the remnants of our European heritage. Multiculturalism is not a unifying culture and never will be. Neither is liberalism or progressivism a culture. It is a destructive force that destroy society. Liberalism-progressivism is attacking historic Judeo-Christian society, traditional values such as family and beliefs. It is fiction that it can create a better world.

Many years ago, I worked for one of Canada'a major banks. Our assistant accountant had come to us from our Ottawa main branch. He said the branch was carrying large loans from many members of Parliament.
Few Canadians could afford to serve in Parliament without incurring debt.
I ordered a Dell computer for $89 from one of those ads on Facebook which said they were associated with Costco but it comes from China. Ordered four weeks ago. Am still waiting.

There is a news report that the mortgages with the bank in China were paid off in 2020 and mortgages taken out with a Canadian bank. This is a good thing. But still what happened during those years he had the loan with China and was Minister of Foreign Affairs? Appointing him to that position shows a lack of judgment.
