There is no viable society without a common culture; agreed upon values and norms which are then reasonably sanctioned. A society without those things will simply devolve into indiscipline and lethal division. Culture and society are not the same thing.

You really think Canada had a "common culture"?
When? What year?
-
Where did I mention this center of the universe, Canada?
-
When you decided to debate me when I said "we have those things".
We = Canada

Trump got embarrassed... he came off very poorly.
He can barely string an intelligible sentence together.

How come my community reputation is neutral?

Trump has been a billionaire for how long? Why didn't these women sue him for big bucks earlier? Jimmy Hoffa?

You will be financially wiped out if you do that without someone willing to help pay your legal costs. That wasn't worth anyone's while till now.
-
Are you admitting the Clinton campaign is paying the lawyer's fees for Trump's accusers?
-
How would I know? It could be an anonymous Clinton supporter. But yeah, you can't make accusations against a billionaire without some kind of backing. That's just how it works, unfortunately.

This is some crazy stuff if it can be verified. Or it could be a load of BS. https://np.reddit.com/r/canada/comments/7wt9ey/after_stanley_verdict_lawyers_say_political/du37b4q/?st=jdknf2vu&sh=0388a084

Oh so sad. It doesn't fit your narrative so it's doctored. Did you see previously where I mentioned his FB page? Then when I looked again I couldn't find it. well I checked again and lo and behold, there it is. Only this time it's not the same page I originally saw. This time it looks squeaky clean. No thug stuff, no criminal stuff, just a wholesome clean leave it to Beaver type picture. How on earth could that have happened?

You’re truly an idiot if you think I was against theStanley verdict. I just don’t fall for this brainless stupidity when there is no evidence. It’s not even a good faked photo.

How dumb do you have to be to believe that crap???

I love it when all the rednecks get together. It's so funny, sort of.

That's, of course, Robert Duvall. Martin Sheen played Lee in Gettysburg. No CGI in either of those two.
Duvall has done some interesting historical flicks for both HBO and TBS. His portrayal of Stalin is pretty awesome.

9 out of 10 American Natives aren't offended by Redskins. #wapo

^Are you offended by "Redskins" Squid?
-
Why would I be offended by the term “redskin”? I’m not offended by the term “nigger” either. But I am neither a native nor black.
But I'm not stupid enough to presume how natives or blacks should feel about those terms.

The Carboniferous Period was a very, very long time ago. Not likely to happen again...
-
Creative destruction is the natural way.
-
I believe that was the reason for the Carboniferous...not enough 'natural destruction'. There were few micro-organisms capable of breaking-down plant matter. Voila...coal beds.

Elites on both sides of the political aisle love immigration. It allows them to bring in more workers for the same number of jobs, driving down wages. Further, elites don't have to live beside these people or compete for housing or government services with them. Hence, the elites get all the benefits while (primarily) lower-class Canadians bear the burden of immigration.

Not a ridiculous question at all. People like to rail against "the elites" but rarely explain what they mean.

Those 330,000 new comers to Canada this year - Welcome to our land!!

Yep. Canada. Freeloaders off American defense.

John McCain, just 10 short years ago — in the summer of 2008 — he was the worst scoundrel who ever lived, a warmonger, a white supremacist, a Nazi, the worst Nazi since Adolf Hitler and a schemer who would plunge us into a world war as soon as he was sworn in.
Now a decade later he is the conscience of the Senate, a peacemaker, a paragon of American virtue.
What a turnaround!

Does Trump fear The Justin?

Farcebook......a tool for dummies.
-
That depends. With my hobby, restoring vintage dirt bikes and snowmobiles it's an invaluable aid. I belong to groups where the members sell and help each other find parts for the machines. Without FB the process would be far harder and much more time consuming.
-
Very few use it properly. You are in the minority.

Facebook is a marketing tool that collects information about you. Oh look, here's another cute little questionnaire that tells you what you like. Share with friends...

After recent events, Champagne Socialist House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi discovered that the United States Capitol building contains many statues of Confederate dignitaries. Thirty years walking those halls and she just noticed?
-
Canada's "The Justin" plans to raise taxes on those who have the hardest time paying their bills. What a great leader you Canukis have.
-
New development sprawl should be taxed to hilt making it less desirable than renovation and redesign of existing areas already here.
-
You already pay a hefty tax for buying a new home as opposed to an older one.
-
I would settle for new development paying for itself. Established neighbourhoods subsidize new development significantly and then incur extra load on their infrastructure. Another subsidy to corporate developers brought to you by their crony municipal government politicians.

Everybody seem to fail to make a connection between the recent riots in American cities and attempt by certain part of American elite to disrupt the Geneva talks on Syria by the massive bombing of the Syrian army in the city of Dar-el-Zor in eastern Syria. Now they swiftly got the return blow of a boomerang, as of saying – “You gonna behave, boys, or you get a civil war before your election”.
