  1. Liberal MPs want Trudeau to be less woke. I think it's far too late for that. He's already shown us and the rest of the world what he really is.

  2. In case you were thinking the new cricket factory in London Ontario was just for pet food.  It's not.

The promo video for the new cricket factory shows how they freeze dry the insects, then grind them into "flour" for human consumption.

It feels better than thinking the Canadian government is following the WEF agenda of wanting people to exist on eating bugs.  You can bet Trudeau and Freeland will be eating filet mignon while the "useless eaters" choke on cricket paste.  There's a reason why he's attacking our agriculture sector and causing food supply issues.  It's not an accident.

  3. 22,000 Colorado Households Lose Control of Their Home Thermostats During Heat Wave as Power Company Locks Out Air Conditioning Use - The Last Refuge (theconservativetreehouse.com)

    Quote

A heatwave hit the Colorado region Tuesday with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees.

Indoor temperatures began climbing, and when formerly free-range residents attempted to adjust their air conditioning, they discovered they were locked out from control in their own home as the power company took over.

But you do, likely have a connected meter that could throttle the amount of electricity you can receive.

It's ironic that the response to electricity shortages due to extreme weather is to increase the power sources that have likely contributed to the extreme weather.

      sharkman

No I have an old meter.

So if more capacity in the grid causes “extreme” weather, then buying electric cars should be shunned by you climate change folks.  But you are championing them and buying them.  Nice work.

    4. Boges

      Boges

Well in California they simply asked that you don't charge during peak periods. Which, since electricity is cheaper then, isn't a huge ask.

Extreme weather also effects the supply chain of gasoline. Happens all the time when a major Hurricane hits the Gulf Coast.

Yes.  Just a couple weeks ago, I was waiting in line and behind me was a woman with a baby in a carseat, maybe 4-6 months old.  In a mask. I made conversation while we were waiting, tired to get the baby to laugh.  She did a little bit, I think.  It was hard to tell because of the mask on the infant.

Looks like a pretty normal progression to me.  Where’s the Covid catastrophe?  Anyone?  Anyone?

    2. Goddess

      Goddess

The small changes are accounted for by Canada's aging population.  Not meaning to sound callous, but covid deaths mostly occurred in the aging population, perhaps hastening death by days, weeks or a couple months.  I don't agree that this necessitated destroying our economy or forcing mass vaccination with an experimental product, leading to vaccine injuries and deaths of working age people, children with life-altering myocarditis and young people with heart attacks.  We would have fared far better with focused protection of vulnerable people, while letting everyone else live normal lives.  S. Korea had worse restrictions than we did and it changed nothing for them.  Kenya, like many other countries, gave up on the useless vaccines, started using ivermectin and is now experiencing about 1 covid death per day.  UK, New Zealand and Canada are experiencing massive deaths amongst the double and triple jabbed.  The excuse given is that there are more vaccinated people than unvaxxed, so that is why more of them are dying. UK and New Zealand breaks down the ratio by deaths per 100,000 - which is extremely helpful in determining who is dying.  That ratio shows far more double and triple vaxxed dying than the ratio of unvaxxed.  Canada continues to hide this information so it can continue to blame the unvaxxed, so we have to calculate the ratio, but it shows the same - the ratio of deaths per 100,000 clearly shows it is the double and triple vaxed contracting, spreading and dying from covid.

Also some interesting information in there on why vaccinated people now make up the largest number of infections, hospitalizations, etc.

Have you read anything about what's happening to people who are not mentally well? Or is that simply beyond you.

      Most deaths to drugs ever

"At a news conference Thursday, chief coroner Lisa Lapointe called the ongoing drug death emergency a collective failure.

“I think we all, everybody who didn’t put their mind to this, everybody who thought these people don’t matter, this isn't my family, this doesn’t impact me. We are all now realizing, I don’t think you can go anywhere in this province and not realize that people you know are dying.”

    3. Argus

Has anyone suggested that? First of all, STEM encompasses many fields. For example, medicine. There are more women in medical training than men. Nobody cares. But a noted aspect of psychology (far more women in psychology courses than men) is that women tend to care more about people, and want to work with them, while men tend to care more about things. So courses like Engineering and Physics simply hold far more attraction to men than to women. Lots of bright young men swarm into these courses, but comparatively few women. So what? People are selecting the kinds of courses they want. There's no need to go out and dragoon women and beg them to apply for Physics and Computer Engineering courses! There's no need to set aside spots in those courses for women, regardless of merit.

There is such a thing as a concealed carry handgun permit in Canada, it can be issued by the police.

They don't issue them except to the politically connected and wealthy.

Like Norm Gardiner had one when he was head of the police services board for example.

They are ostensibly issued on the basis of someone having reasonable fear that they are being stalked to be killed.

Women should lobby for these permits to be issued to them to deal with violent spouse attacks.

Unfortunately most woman are lefty gun grabbers, and that's why the police don't issue them to anybody.

There was that women who was killed in her home and her two children were killed too, out in York Mills.

The ex-boyfriend was a huge guy who was a repeat violent offender, stabbed them all to death,

There's no way she could have stopped him without a gun.

My old auntie down in America, she packs heat all the time, S&W .357 magnum pocket revolver.

Compact, light, very easy to use, point and click, with stopping power to put any man down.

I have a friend in the US who got a new girlfriend pregnant many years ago and she didn't want a baby.  They talked and agreed that he would pay all expenses, she would have the baby, sign away all her parental rights to him and he would raise the child.  Sometimes it's a good thing to let people make their own decisions.

I think if the Left would acknowledge the Rights points on abortion, rather than insistently repeating slogans that are no way related to them, such as 'MY BODY MY CHOICE'. No bud. We didn't say you couldn't do things you want with your body, what we say is you can't kill someone because it's convenient for your future career or whatever thousand reasons there are to abort. The person you kill isn't you, dipshit. If the Left acknowledged that point, only that single and only point, the Left would win the abortion debate as it did 40 years ago. But the Leftists are generally retarded and down to repeat slogans coming from the Boomer-me-myself-and-I era.

Most provinces will only perform abortions up to 20 weeks, unless there is a medical reason (either mother or fetus) for termination.  Why do you think this is?  Some babies in the womb require surgery before they are born.  There is no pain medication given to fetuses under 24 weeks old for these surgical procedures.    Why do you think that is?
