Middle Eastern despots seem to love massive hydraulic projects. Aswan Dam, for example.

I am going through it again, it's on the BBC radio 4 website.
I also found Zork Zero online, that was fun if I remember correctly.

Canada so Britain was OK with invade of Iraq because of the potential of oil reserves that they can steal.
Funny we forgot to steal any...must've slipped our minds.

I cannot see the benefits for either country for the western provinces of Canada to suddenly join the United States. Why? And how would you reconcile our differing forms of government?
-
It says that nowhere in the U.S. Constitution. I have a copy of it right in front of me and I've actually read it.

Sounds rather ambitious. Why do they need another waterway when there is already the Dardanelles?

Dont think that different than any other news sources. News sources also dont show you any proof most of the time, you just believe in them because they are funded with billions $, they have a building as an office and many workers serving for them, not because of they prove their claims. This is the same, just think me as an individual news source. If I was working for a media organ, I could write a corner post without showing any proofs and you would believe in me without questioning my claims. No, we don't think of you as individual "news" source. News contains facts. People in our countries question the claims of news all the time. It's called a healthy dose of skepticism.

Ok, OK, I regret posting this. You're absolutely right, I'm a bad person for linking left wing b.s. with cruelty. Mea culpa. I do agree I was over the top on this one.

Anyone play these? I used to love them. You had to use your imagination. Was like reading a book you could almost take control of.

Pick on? You seem to forget it's a NATO action.

Reading the posts of this forum, any Russian person will decide:
1. Americans are too "fat cattle", who wants to live very quietly so that the "Troops of America" have a lot of military in all parts of the world
2. My sweet Americans ... It will not work.
3. President Putin said that "we will give a military response to America" .....
==========================
This is all chatter ...
President Putin is a weak talker.
Americans should pray to God that the President of Russia is Putin ... It’s time to cut this goat

Americans ...
We will destroy you
- in the 19th century, Russians learned French and occupied Paris
- in the 20th century, Russians learned German and occupied Berlin
- in the 21st century, Russians learn English ......Are you a Russian troll bot? I can barely understand this rant.

It's illegal to do so. I do not recall the name of the supreme court case, it they declared such a thing unconstitutional.

Trudeau is an internationally well-known politician. It is by means at all outside Canada considered to be general knowledge to know who is the PM of Canada but Trudeau is known all over the world.
Because he's "not Trump", it would seem?

Morocco didn't experience the same kind of civil disorder that toppled Ben Ali and Mubarak (in Tunisia and Egypt respectively).

Okay but, we've still got millions upon millions of commies here at home. I mean they're letting Islam replace our culture, they're destroying the economy, gayifying our children, abolishing Xmas....
Maybe if we fought commies here at home we wouldn't have to fight them half way around the planet. Did anyone ever stop to think about that? Pinochet did but....he just didn't get the support he needed to carry the fight thru to the end.
"gayifying"
I just watched Charlie Wilson's War and it occurs to me, the takeover of the Crimea, and invasion of eastern Ukraine, was the first time the Russian Army has won something in quite a while. Maybe that's what Putin was after, and it will make him popular.

Can you give me a quote of what Kissinger said in the article, since you cannot show me the article?
-
Why does it seem like some of Trudeau's supporters always run for cover by saying "at least he's not Donald Trump"? Is Trump in the running for prime minister of Canada?
-
I clicked on the link and it wants me to pay for it.
-
I'm curious. Does Kissinger have anything to say about Russia's actions in the past few years?
Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that there was little or no private property in the USSR or communist countries.
Also, one of you said that Putin has made things better religious-wise. First of all, the Russian Orthodox Church is favored over other churches. BTW, gays are beat up in the streets, legally. How is that an improvement of any kind?

Hmm good point. In the States, you would have just p***** off both sides. It would actually be pretty funny to see the reaction, especially if it were a facebook post.
-
After reading some of the 1867 Act it seems that the role of the feds vs. provinces is more well-defined than it is in the States, (where it boils down to what's in the 10th amendment, which is ambiguous anyway).

No, your intent was to say that liberals occupy the low ground.
If you say so. Thank goodness you can read my mind.
For the record, I lean left. There are plenty of times I go after the right for their own little failures and foibles.

That didn't stop you from trying though did it?
I certainly don't intend to say the U.S. has a moral high ground, on the issue of immigration or anything else. My intent is to criticize the liberal position that Europe has one. In our country the liberals worship Europe for some reason. No country should be worshipped as a shining example, though we may take successes in other countries as examples (does that make sense?)
The right, on the other hand, wants to tie everything up with religion in the U.S.
Why didn't Canada stopped America from invading Iraq?

I doubt that would be a good idea. (I'm reminded of Slim Pickens/Dr. Strangelove).
