You should care more about how Canada is being governed. I don't know what your fascination is with polling data that's 8+months old. It's irrelevant to how Canada is doing. Stop treating politics like a team sport.

So I used to participate in the other forum quite a bit over the last couple of years, but finally had to call it quits as it became such a clown show of insanity. If you ever want a good laugh, definitely check it out. There are a few members there that used to be members here. Michael Hardner is still a member of both and represents the only real sane person there. I feel bad for him, as he has political leanings that match the group of degenerates there, but still has a grasp of reality, so it must be difficult to have to align himself to the oddities that reside there. I think most people are familiar with ex-member Black Dog, who is truly a sociopath. Bubber Miley is there, he used to post here, but has since developed into only trolling now in his old age. The other member there that's worth noting is a guy named Luigi, who literally named himself after the murderer that killed an insurance company CEO a couple of years ago! LOL. They are all completely obsessed with all things Donald Trump, and couldn't care less about how their own country is governed. For example: When the latest Canadian jobs report was released in early August, showing that Canada had lost 40,000 jobs. They didn't devote even one word to it. But they did devote many many posts to who Pete Hegseth was giving an interview to! More recently, Carney has announced most of the retaliatory tariffs being dropped against the United States. Did they devote even one word to it? Nope. But they have insisted that Pierre Poilievre should resign because an American publication has suggested he should! LOL. They're also big into the Trump health watch, suggesting he's dying from several illnesses, as well as suggesting he's suffering from dementia. Mind you, these are the same people that didn't care less about Biden's health, and insisted Biden was a sharp as a tack for the last several years! LOL. Oh, and they're now heavily invested in the Epstein stuff, despite completely ignoring it for the last several years, and never once asking why Biden hadn't released any of the information, but now are adamant that Trump do so. Anyways, check it out once in a while if you have a chance and need a really good laugh, and peak inside the lunatic left. It's highly entertaining but extremely frightening!

You’re making my point. Canada has had a tariff system in place against American dairy goods for decades. There was no American equivalent. Canada gave up more access because Trump demanded it, because there are no American tariffs on Canadian dairy products. These tariffs Canada still has on American dairy are tariffs that you and Carney seem to be fine with, despite acknowledging that it increases prices for Canadians, and the tariffs being paid by Canadians, despite your recent conversion away from eMobile’s up, dollar for dollar tariffs. I guess that was just to win the election. But I can only imagine what you Carney cultists would be saying if within a few months of winning the election, Pierre dropped almost all the reciprocal tariffs put in place by the Liberal government.

No it’s not. It’s existed long before Trump was in politics. We have had tariffs up protecting Canadian dairy for decades.

We still have supply management in place, which puts tariffs on American dairy products if they exceed certain levels in order to protect Canadian dairy which means artificially higher dairy prices for Canadian consumers.

How is that any different than making businesses pay very high property taxes? 🤣 it’s good to see that you accept the fact that high taxes can have negative effects though. Lefties never used to admit that. So apply high property taxes with the same logic. Could it cause people to move out of cities then? How did cities pay for these things before property taxes? Like I’ve said though, you could have a minimal municipal sales tax or even income tax.

How about a municipal sales tax? Regardless, how did cities build these things before the advent of property taxes, which really is a ridiculous conceit. Imagine being taxed for your property? I can’t believe some of the things we let slide. Imagine paying taxes on something to own it. And then having to pay taxes on just owning it? When you think about it it’s pretty crazy.

I don’t love Trump, but I’m envious of having a government and PM that actually puts its citizens first instead of the rest of the world.
