There are certain lines that ought not to be crossed when speaking of the dead. However, the issue of whether criticism of Thatcher is legitimate depends on the validity of the criticism, not whether she is alive or dead.

I think holding a street party, which, given the nature of the attendees inevitably turns violent, to celebrate her death is crossing those lines.

There are idiots who riot in Britain... that's not exactly news...
