  1. I think Hydrogen tech is important. But like with Lithium it makes a lot of energy to produce. So ultimately the key here is to make more energy green. So either storing existing Green Energy (more battery type tech) or expanding it. EV's don't become mainstream if we don't also continue to invest in a greener grid. Most of the developed world have pushed coal out, I don't see Natural Gas reliance ending anytime soon, it's how most of us heat our homes.
  2. This is the thing right? JT just bumped Gas Prices again over the weekend. Nothing that'll bankrupt anyone but there doesn't seem to be a political movement to scrap Carbon pricing. No one should feel the need to sell their newish ICE vehicle to jump on the bandwagon today. But if you're in the market, and I was in 2020, if it makes sense for you, it's a good investment on cost savings going forward. If you're buying a new car, you're likely already committing to a $30k plus sticker price. We've gone over ones that are cheaper, but they're not the best cars. So why not make the investment in reducing some of the ongoing costs of keeping a car on the road? This also assumes you have a garage to charge and another ICE car would help (not essential though). And the cool thing about the EV is that its usage will reduce the wear and tear on your older ICE vehicle, as you'll likely be using your EV for most daily tasks.
  3. I think you've missed the spelling mistake. BTW do you agree with the GOP establishment that him being charged is similar treatment to Mao and Stalin considering he's innocent until proven guilty?
  4. Trump's been indicated!!!! ? But Biden is the one with an addled brain? https://twitter.com/jeanneenabottle/status/1641574762047479811/photo/1
  5. Other than Healthcare, The US has two pretty unique national problems. Guns and Incarceration. The solution to those on the right is more guns and more prisoners.
  6. The comparisons to autocratic regimes are hilarious. If this was Mao or even Putin! Trump would already be in a Gulag awaiting a show trial. In the US he gets to negotiate the terms of his surrender. Is the base stupid enough to believe this tripe?
  7. The Good Guy with a Gun argument is becoming more irksome the more I hear it. This shooter rolled up with 3 weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Does every school need an armed guard? Even a Christian Middle School? In Uvalde there were officers that were supposed to protect the school. They waited outside and let kids get murdered because they were outgunned. A pistol won't do shit when someone decides, for whatever reason, they want to murder people on their way out. So is America really going down the path where security needs weapons of war, because weapons of war are so easy to get? Seems more like a 3rd world country than the richest country to ever exist.
  8. Lots of people have Mental Health issues in lots of countries. In no other country can people with Mental Health Issues buy weapons of war and hundreds of rounds, no questions asked.
  9. And because they probably like a lot of what's in the Old Testament, which is fundamentally a Jewish document.
  10. So what countries do you feel work culturally? Certainly not the UK or the US. Both are as culturally diverse as Canada. France, Germany, Spain? Are those countries models of cultural integration? Do we need to go to Eastern Europe where the cultural make-up is more homogenous to see examples of a country should be? I think not. Japan is the one Advanced Economy that is quite homogenous and they're headed for a demographic catastrophe as they refuse to embrace immigration and their fertility rate collapses.
  11. I think you'll find, more than not, Canada's culture is driven by very non-religious things. And if anything Canada's culture is linked to the wide diversity of religions and culture, not just white-bread colonialists who though Reformers in Europe were't pious enough.
  12. Well you seem annoyed when people pray wrong so. . . Since a lot of Catholic Doctrine came about long after Jesus lived, and the Bible was written, I suspect you have strong opinions on them. I certainly do.
  13. So? AFAIK Catholics and Protestants have very different ways, in which they pray. In Ontario and Quebec, Catholics seem to have way more sway, politically? Does that annoy you?
  14. Maybe I'm prejudiced, but I can't get over his delivery. And yeah, it pisses me off when I click on a video telling me "This is why EVs are Crap" and he mentions and easily irrefutable issue for 3 minutes and moves on to something else. I clicked on this video for a comprehensive take-down of EVs, so Eff you, you hick!
  15. Two of those articles focus on Tesla. Tesla has its own unique problems with service. It treats cars like an iPhone. It's probably advantageous for them to just get a new car. I'm also confident Tesla isn't just throwing a car with a broken battery into the landfill.
  16. And you've been told multiple times, in this thread, that EVs are far less likely to combust that traditional ICE vehicles.
  17. The uproar over this is Conspiracy Theory tripe. It would be lovely to be a 15 minute walk from all necessary amenities. Suburbs aren't built that way however. That being said, If this "was" going to be made policy, how can they determine you work 15 minutes from your home? Or that your family is 15 minutes from your home? BTW infilling Suburbs is the only way to actually make them sustainable. Suburbs can only make money with Single-Family units if they sprawl like a virus. And that's not sustainable. The prudent move is to infill the land with more affordable multi-family dwellings. Condos, Duplexes, Basement Apartments, Townhomes etc etc etc. People opposed to such things are nothing but NIMBY's and are part of the problem. If they want only Single Family homes in their town, they best be prepared to pay significantly more in taxes.
  18. I don't know why you keep citing that guy. He's a loon-bat. Remember, Lithium Ion Battery is usually in the floor of the car, not the engine or trunk. So it's unlikely that a fender bender will destroy the battery.
  19. Not really. Fossilization only happens within certain circumstances. But even if it was 6 days, we talking 6 24-hour Earth days. Or is it figurative? To teach Out the need for a Sabbath. Because if you could create all existence in a week, you could probably do it instantly and not need to rest. Therefore plenty of the Bible can be put up to interpretation.
  20. So when we entertain the Supernatural, Science can get thrown out the window? So you can believe the world was formed in 6 days, because Bible, even though all Science points to the contrary. But you cite Science as evidence that FN claims of the importance of this land is rubbish?
  21. Great. The Bible is not irrefutable evidence of anything. It states the world was made in 6 days and that all the animals on Earth fit on a boat and survived a Global Flood. Just because Judeo-Christian beliefs also birthed many of the elements of Liberal Democracy and Western Civilization does not mean the Christian tenants should be enshrined in our laws. In fact the opposite, it's the separation of Church and State that has allowed these states to prosper. It's the theocracies that are corrupt and violent. THOUGH it does make sense that FN beliefs should be considered when a large infrastructure project is proposed on their land. Just like Governments aren't supposed to dictate how people conduct themselves on Church land, unless they contravene other laws.
  22. So the vast majority of the people who have ever lived, or ever will live are heathens. Not something I'm willing to accept from a loving God. So call me an unbeliever if you'd like. The point is, these are all subjective beliefs. You have no way of proving your beliefs are the right one. So laughing at FN religions while clinging to your own is hypocritical at best.
  23. The fact that you're so sure of your beliefs vs other people is the problem. I believe in a God, but that people think that their narrow view of the God is the only one that's right is where we get into so much trouble as a society. I support the message of Jesus, but are we really to believe that if there's mortality beyond this world, that God will only allow those who specifically accept Jesus in Heaven, otherwise eternal punishment? Because that's what the Bible teaches us. These FN beliefs actually seem more friendly TBH.
  24. Shooting at a Christian School in Nashville. All those Ts and Ps will ring especially hollow this time.

  25. See, you're disparaging their beliefs all while trumpeting up yours. Who's to say who's right when talking about Religious beliefs? The Bible says a lot of things that we laugh at today. Many principals we do adopt, like a few of the 10 commandments, but not all. Imagine if Dishonesty, Envy or Idol worship was treated the same as Murder by our laws?
