  1. A hobby of mine is to check Twitter Hashtags like #longcovid, #maskup, #covidisntover and people outraged and fretful that life has gone back to normal. Is this something only observable on Twitter?

  2. A Study promoting Invermectin as a viable treatment for COVID-19 pulled because of ethnical concerns.

    https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/16/huge-study-supporting-ivermectin-as-covid-treatment-withdrawn-over-ethical-concerns

    Quote

“The authors claimed they conducted the study between the 8th of June and 20th of September 2020, however most of the patients who died were admitted into hospital and died before the 8th of June according to the raw data. The data was also terribly formatted, and includes one patient who left hospital on the non-existent date of 31/06/2020.”

Hopefully they set up a new study.  The new drug out of Israel looks very promising.

No, you fight mask mandates and lockdowns and vaccine passports and laws against shooting people in the face.

    3. Shady

      Shady

No I don’t fight mask mandates.  I do fight lockdowns because they’re destructive, especially to children.  Anyone that really cares about children would recognize that.

What about when Manitoba's ICUs are full and you're whining about them sending patients to Ontario? Only people who hate children would call for restrictions on indoor gatherings in that situation?

When I see those kind of numbers, it's kind of like if someone told me Mars is a hundred million miles away or that it's a hundred billion miles away.  Doesn't really matter - I can't get there.

I'd be happy with a measly billion.  See?  I'm not greedy....

  8. Are people cool with the Feds throwing people in prison for up to 14 years for giving weed to a minor, under a legalization model.  Many, if not most, violent crimes don't come with a penalty like that. You could serve more time in jail for giving a minor pot than beating them half to death. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!

It seems infection spikes have moved to the Midwest with states like Minnesota, Iowa, Montana, Idaho and the Dakotas seeing spikes in cases. Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg said a national lockdown for the unvaccinated was "probably inevitable".

Two-thirds of people should not suffer because others were hesitant, he said.

  19. Biden's goal of 70% first-dose vaccination by July 4th is an admission that demand for vaccination will plummet.

Yes, as cases continue to decline rapidly, many will forgo the vaccine for now.  Also, politicians like to set goals the can easily meet, and then claim success.  This is really a non-story.

From your citation (which is just an opinion column):

      Quote

In the United States, vaccine hesitancy is increasingly seen as a major and perhaps permanent barrier to herd immunity. The vaccine rollout south of the border got off to a fast start but has been slowing as time goes on and the supply of doses starts to outpace demand.

  20. Biden's Town Hall beat Trump's in the Ratings. Hit Trump right where it matters to him.
