Cecil the Lion and the Phenomena of Public Shaming.
poochy replied to Boges's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
It is an unnatural state of being, mostly resulting from an over privileged society where we can choose from the multitude of food we have available, it wouldn't have been long ago that having that sort of opinion simply couldn't exist. Because it isn't a natural way of looking at the world, and because it is followed by an extreme minority of people, it is also not those same people that the world should look to as it's moral compass on food, or hunting. The fact is, we have evolved to hunt, it is a far more normal activity than refusing to eat meat on moral grounds, trophy hunting is a separate issue, the opinion of a vegan on trophy hunting is a lot more than predictable and equally meaningless. -
But keep bringing up the evil agenda, it really speaks to the intelligence of the left that they are still relying upon a strategy that has failed for a decade.
-
O look, the evil agenda, keep it up, maybe if you lose this election to the evil empire you will start to reevaluate your general point of view towards everything.

I guess we should tell the Africans that regulate these paid hunts that they can no longer allow it, that will go over well. After no one sees a lion as anything but a dangerous animal and competition for food im sure they will have an even greater reason to keep them around, just like we did with the wolf. I dont like trophy hunting, but, if here in the real world paying to shoot a lion makes them valuable, perhaps this is the only way to keep them around, we can try it the other way if you like, i dont much care. -

Thats a nice, irrational sentiment, but you're a vegan, so yea, hey, have you ever seen an animal killed and eaten alive in the wild? I dont beleive in trophy hunting, but opinions like yours are those of extremists, and dont count for much. -
They are all the same, liars, just liars.
-
How about you provide one iota of proof of your assertions, is honesty even a thing to you? Or are you as you appear to be, a political hack who cares for only your agenda, one who is more than willing to lie in order to pass it around?
-
This entire thread has mostly been an incredibly stupid conversation about semantics, but yea, how can you be taken seriously by anyone, anywhere, while spewing nonsense like that? There is of course no evidence anywhere of that, this forum would be greatly improved if some of you were simply ignored, always, even for you, this is an incredibly stupid post.

Liberal Party of Canada's misinformation on Bill C-42
poochy replied to Derek 2.0's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Still waiting for an explanation about how a piece of paper that says 'registered' prevents any firearm from being used i a crime, or somehow reduces the availability of illegal guns. 23 years and counting. -
I also heard Chretien was a really nice guy, not at all power hungry or controlling of his cabinet. Harper invented those things.

Does the Sandra Bland story outrage you?
poochy replied to Boges's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Imagine the thousands of traffic stops everyday where no one is arrested or hurt, but those people are losers, the real heroes defend the rights they imagine they might have by behaving like assholes to someone who might decide to arrest you, or, because the police are human, might just get pissed off enough to hurt you. What imaginary world do some of you live in where the police should be so perfect that you can behave like an asshole to them and they will never react, or over react to it? What an unimaginably childish view of the world, o but I know, if only we trained the police to be 'nice', no weapons either, that'l work, might as well not have them. -
You know this is Canada right? When exactly haven't we been that way? Some of the other response I would have to those things you mention, are, not true, same as every other government , ever. or, it's about time. Have you noticed that for the last 10 years a lot of people haven't been buying the nonsense you are trying to sell? Tell yourself whatever you like about why that has happened, but I just looked out my window, still Canada. Most other people, who weren't convinced of the evil agenda 10 years ago are doing the same, maybe, just maybe, there is still time to see troops in the streets, or finally get all those women back into the kitchen where they belong, fingers crossed.

Thank for adding an irrelevant comment, i can only speak for myself, but i dont care what you imagine is boring or otherwise, but then your petty comment was just the usual, an attempt to make other peoples hobbies look small. speaking of boring, check your posting tactics. -
SO, where are the examples of these statements being passed along to the public? Things seem to be pretty quiet on that front, so if this is what you claim it to be, where are these statements and why haven't i heard them?

Luckily for those who were happy to receive the UCCB, the NDP is planning on continuing to bribe you with your own money if they are elected, even enhancing it, and then there's the national daycare program, they will be surprised however when the people who voted for them refuse to accept these bribes. They are far too principled for that.
-
Yawn, if by steal you mean return some of the taxes I paid, then yes you are correct. Nice rant though.

Im sorry its beyond you, that must be a common problem for you.

http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/conservative-suburban-ridings-gain-most-from-enriched-child-benefits-cp-1.3159439 The CBC has been in full campaign mode for weeks now, that is my current favorite story. What really are the odds that the people who voted for conservative policies, because they apparently thought they would benefit by doing so, might actually benefit from them a little more than others who didn't vote for them, why exactly would they have voted for them otherwise, and on what planet is this some sort of new thing in Canadian politics? Those poor left wingers are going to have an awful time if the NDP wins the election, how will their conscience allow them to benefit from the policies the NDP will enact, policies that will clearly be a greater benefit to the people who voted for them, otherwise, why would they? The CBC is an absolute travesty, the 'evil empire' should have already killed it.

lol, really? So i guess you missed this posters constant troll in this same vein, throughout this entire thread? But my one reference to that trolling gets noticed, well, isn't that just terribly unsurprising. Here you go, a sampling since you so obviously missed it. You're right. They should just do everything in French. Who cares? French is our official language. We should stop doing things in English to save money. France is French and there's a whole French diaspora we that we could be a part of. Let's get rid of English. So what? We need to scrap one. It might as well be English. It's too wasteful having both and the French were here before the English. So? You had classes. That's good enough. English is unnecessary. We could just stop teaching it altogether. Every child into immersion regardless of their language at home. It goes on and on and on, not one single serious post, only posts mocking virtually everyone elses opinion, yea, i suppose that was difficult to notice. There is no doubt that if I any number of other people did that they would have been suspended already.

But we are leading the world to a more progressive, greener future! Plus our premier, well how much more fashionable could she, and by extension, Ontario, be? These are the things that really matter, not if you can make your house payments, or feed your children, those are plebeian concerns in comparison to being progressive, green, and socially fashionable.

http://news.nationalpost.com/full-comment/ashley-csanady-student-politicians-are-practicing-the-same-dark-arts-as-our-federal-leaders Yes, it's that bad now, the student union needs a 'safe place', I think there is something seriously wrong with this, just like this, everything is a microaggression nonsense, and it's our fault because we are allowing people who clearly aren't operating at peak efficiency to drive the bus because the rest of us are afraid to be called a bigot, or racist, or supporting genocide, or you name it, even when by any reasonable measure, that simply isn't the case. No matter what your true feelings are or how well reasoned your argument, they will decide for you what your thoughts really are, what your words really mean, and then attack you for it, while running back to a 'safe place' when questioned. That place often being behind a barrage of the aforementioned comments, progressive buzz words straight from the social justice encyclopedia, you can read them here daily. It's a sickness.

Your posts read like pre packaged propaganda, tell us more about this alleged possible future conspiracy to keep the conservatives in power, while you're at it, are the troops still in the streets?

Greece? Add about 4% to Harper's Numbers
poochy replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
We get it, you aren't voting conservative. -
That she loves you enough to pretend is all that matters.

Agreed, this stems from assholes taking up two full spots on the bus sitting as though they were waiting to be, ah, serviced, yes, it is conceivable that men might need a bit more room for anatomical reasons, but not that much more.
