Canada also got him out of Gitmo and then freed him - and what does this douche bag do, sues the govenment. I can see why he's a hero of the left.. If Trudeau kisses his ass, he should immediatly resign. Oh yeah, I don't actually give a shit about the rights of terrorists! He left Canada to go and fight for a terrorist organization, the fact that Canada (as well as other western countries) allows this is shameful. These terrorists are cuckolding the west.

How about Kelly Ellard, can we spare a few million for her too. She was only 15 when she committed murder...so?

Yeah, every band office just has "bad bookkeeping". Fine, but just for a laugh, where do you think the money went? -

IOW, The chiefs and council wasted/embezzled all the money, and rather than invest in their community and work with DeBeers, they tried extorting more and the company walked away. Also, a company isn't going to walk away over 1 or 1.5%, if they're making that much money, so I have a hard time trusting the band's numbers. -

Here's a small article about the DeBeers situation. There are better articles that detail the money and effort put into the community, if you're inclinded (you aren't), you should seek out the info (you wont). http://business.financialpost.com/opinion/attawapiskats-refusal-to-support-a-diamond-mine-misses-an-opportunity-for-better-prosperity/wcm/0213eeb9-1d60-4803-85f1-de8500589d86 -

1% is not really the point, the point is; WE CAN NOT AFFORD TO DO WHAT YOU THINK IS RIGHT! Do you get that? NO! you don't do you? Sheesh, this is why people on the right don't trust lefties with money. -
So, that piece of shit deserves a bullet in the head, but our backwards courts gave him money instead...whatever, but is the "apology" court appointed? Did Trudeau offer an apology? Did the lawyer ask for a public apology? Money is one thing, but a public ass kissing of a terrorist from our Prime Minister is humiliating. I don't like Trudeau, and I think this might just be a nail in his coffin, but for the respect of the office, he can't possibly kiss this bastards ass - can he?

Native complaints about Canada's 150th

On the predeeding page there is an article about the "abuse" of FN people - a little bias as some research pointed out to me, I digress. Anyway it shows that the Atawapiskat people were given 90$million dollars, that is on top of everything the government puts in, plus all the jobs that were created, plus the business that was generated...and look at the place...it's a dump - no hyperbole, a dump. So, how much money do you figure it would take to bring that reserve up to standards of "basic services" - assuming you mean health care, food, heat, water, education etc.? Then multiply that by all the reserves in Canada. Do you think it's doable? It would take nearly a $trillion, just to get it to the standards you're talking, and that's before upkeep. -

Do you even understand what the complaints of "the few grumpy nonnatives are"? I sincerely doubt it. -

If the parents lived in a proper society, the problem that you're demonstrating would be solved. But, you unwittingly make the point, Yes, I'm sure if I moved to a reserve and had a few children, they'd likely end up poorly educated, with poor health and unable to integrate into society too. That speaks to the sickness and dysfunction of the reserve society. -

What I took away from the video supplied by HE, is that these kids are woefully ill-prepared to live in society, let alone keep up with the academics they are faced with. These kids are being sent from a an extremely dysfunctional society and expected to keep up....no chance, it's just a setup for more failure. More money can't/won't change that. Health....C'mon, there is no way that they can be given proper - or even adequate health care living on a fly away reserve - that isn't possible. And, don't even bother with the mental health, substance abuse and councelling - it's just not possible. -

How much more? $1million per reserve...2 maybe 3, what number would make your conscience feel better? The band chiefs and council don't use the money they get (and don't keep records) as is now. When chiefs and councils say "more control", what they mean is more money and less accountability. This just gets us all back to square one...rinse and repeat. -

No, Capricorn is right, so is Bcsapper. These reserves are presented as some sort of free spirited commune and the FN's at some point in time - generations ago, might have been that way, however, as human nature goes, money has changed all that and just as Bcsapper has said, reserves more closely resemble concentration camps. And the more people that stay, the more babies that are born, means more money for the Chiefs and band council. -

How often do you hear about a reserve getting $millions for infrastructure or for home improvements only to go back 1,2 or however many years later to see that absolutely nothing has been done? How many times have we seen the fight for Chiefs to manage their own bands money only to see it squandered with absolutely no paper trail? That video even suggests that those kids are given govenment money, yet somehow have none and are living poor, where did that money go? Easy, the band requests the money and it goes to the chiefs...or someone else - again no paper trail, no questions asked, so we give them more money and the pattern continues. Evidence? Well the biggest piece of evidence is "where did the money go"? Evidence can only be found if someone is looking, and no one dare look. Just like the "missing women" investigation. We may not know the exact person(s), but it's pretty obvious where to start looking. As for myself, I 'm not a police officer, I don't need to find a smoking gun. The white man is guilty of nothing more than being complicit. -

Well, the evidence is right there, all around us, it's in the preceeding video, it's in all the reserves - if you've ever been to one, it's obvious in the school system and in the foster system. There is RCMP evidence that that over 70% of missing and murdered women and killed by other FN's and that over 65% are killed by people known or related to them. The evidence is all there, the problem is the dishonesty and politics that cover it up - or at least try to. What am I doing? Well, it's pretty tough to do anything when liberals refuse to acknowledge the problems, let alone actually address them. I bet you're closer to calling me racist than use this info for some thought. The minute somebody mentions shutting down reserves, the chiefs rally against the idea, why? Because they are the primary abusers, they are getting all the money and for the most part they are king and the rest are serfs...Serfs! They're not giving that up without a fight. If I were in politics though, I'd sacrifice my political career and put an end to reserves. Give every FN's person a buyout $100K...200K...whatever it took and begin assimilating them into the 21st century. -

I don't know if this video makes the argument that you think it does. Then again, you just keep saying "genocide" and calling people ignorant without putting forth a solution...or even an idea. -

Unlike you, I just know the game that is being played. Trump knows he wont be given any slack from the media or Dems so why try. The tweets haven't swayed any Trump supporters, the media would be better served to let the tweets go, but they're Oh so tasty - aren't they? -

Let me explain the current "genocide"; manipulating a group of people with money and false cultural expectations to live on a reserve 100-1000 miles from nowhere in butt fack nowhere Manitoba (or wherever the latest crisis may be), that has no education, no work, no sports (or entertainment), bad water, no food, riddled with drugs, alcohol, murder, rape, incest, suicide, FASD, poverty and teenage pregnancy. All the while the chiefs and elders take all the money earmarked for the whole band. That's the genocide that for some reason, liberals want to protect. -
