  1. I just hate that the politicians are dividing people vs uniting, based on this cause. Trudeau is opportunistic. Public servants strike, and he feels he needs to stay out of it, as is not his jurisdiction. They have the right to have a voice. LGBTQ cause, and he is front and center, fighting for their cause. Ukraine? He literally becomes a megaphone. Truckers convoy. They're terrorists, and need to be crushed for their dissenting views that aren't my own.

  2. https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre-new-brunswick-lgbtq-students-1.6889770 Poilievre tells Trudeau to 'butt out' of New Brunswick's policy on LGBTQ students "I know that Justin Trudeau has butted into that. The prime minister has no business in decisions that should rest with provinces and parents," he said. "So my message to Justin Trudeau is, 'Butt out and let provinces run schools and let parents raise kids.'" And that would be the correct answer. Harper won a lot of support for his policy of respecting the provinces powers and even adding to them. That plays well in quebec, western Canada, and parts of ontario. PP respecting the powers of the provinces is a good thing.

  3. I agree. My wife wanted to become a politician. We both are politically affiliated, regarding our families. I am unfortunately well represented in politics in the US, and Haiti, and her in the Philippines, in both being related to high ranking officials. But just getting a first hand glimpse of the pressures within this environment, and how vitriolic that the hit pieces against an opponent could get, when she told me she was considering a run when we eventually choose to move back to the Philippines, I couldn't help but blurt: "Sure, let me know when, and I'll schedule the divorce". At least she has a sense of humor, but if only she knew how serious that statement was o_O

  5. America’s unemployment rate has been below 4% for a staggering 16 consecutive months. The last time America has had unemployment this low for this long was in the 1960’s. Go Biden!!!

  6. Just cause Boebert WANTS TO PASS an impeachment resolution DOES NOT MEAN ANY OF IT IS TRUE nor ANY KIND of a crime. Duh. Not LIKING Biden POLICIES is not even an impeachable offense, let alone against the LAW. You really are an lDIOT if you believe you've cited a law that would put Joe Biden in prison. AKA, embarrassing YOURSELF ONCED AGAIN with BUBKIS Doing the JOB of POTUS of course. Meanwhile Trump is in court defending against STRONG EVIDENCE of HIS CRIMES. More to come.

  8. Donald Trump has been ARRESTED and indicted on 71 criminal felony counts, and all the “Whatabout Biden’s” in the world cannot change that. Joe Biden has nothing to do with Donald Trump’s 71 felony counts. And more charges are coming. Donald Trump is going to jail.

  9. Sparky? What are you squid ink? Provincial human rights councils are there to ensure the Charter of Rights is held to, not to make up what your rights are! Most of the provincial ones were in place before there even was a Charter of Rights and Freedoms and don't override it.

  10. So you're in favor of cutting conversation with the parents, blocking it totally because it "might" be dangerous...( I'm assuming when you refer to dangerous you mean from physical abuse) That the schools are better equipped to handle this problem than parents. Your suggesting parents are incapable of having this conversation with their children...That kids are nothing more than objects under their parent's control. Parents around the world thank you for your confidence... I'm curious about what other topics do we block parents from? Not sure how you parent, but i took an interest in my kid's lives, and would have noticed a change in behavior and if this topic ever comes up, I can ensure you that violence would not be an option regardless of my conservative views...I have full confidence that the majority of parents feel the same way...

  11. I won't name drop, but know someone who worked closely to Canadian politicians. Off screen, you would see yelling matches with couples, vitriol. Some were great with staff, others barking and just miserable to be around. Cameras rolling, smiles, halo and they are loving of everyone. My political family was just like this. Nasty to be around, and their image, is something they would be willing to sue you into oblivion over. It mattered more than anything. When you're dealing with someone who pulls government and media levers, you're dealing with someone who can completely destroy you. If they are highly intelligent, this is when they are dangerous.

  12. If you're like 99% of the rest of the world then no one loves you as much as your parents did. Almost no one else truly wants the best for you to the same extent that they do/did (condolences), not even a spouse. If you ever have kids yourself then you won't want a teacher, coach, counsellor or anyone else secretly conspiring with your child to make their most significant life decisions.

  13. The Constitution makes human rights a federal issue. So provincial decisions that affect human rights issues are federal concerns. The PM is supposed to take notice of what may be federal concerns. Repeat, PP having no actual electoral platform only survives by his big mouth.

  16. But it isn't. It's generally about 4 steps forward and then 4 steps back all of a sudden Do THAT math. There is a general trend for societies to be less and less bound by social restrictions over time until eventually they either collapse or reset. You see it in big swings and little ones. And really there isn't a nation which doesn't have that cycle given time. Some things stick because they make sense to all sides and really always did - there's no chance we're going back to slavery and there's no chance we'll ever make it illegal to be gay. They don't make sense in the long run. But there's a LOT of 'progressve' thinking that gets rolled back and it's usually once people get sick of it, then it happens pretty quick. Take for example trudeau's "progressive" bail law - bet that doesn't last. Parents will win back their rights to raise their kids, one way or another. Companies are already steering away from openly throwing their support behind gays and trans. Etc etc etc. People are fairly elastic and you can stretch them and their beliefs a long ways - but stretch too far and that elastic breaks and SNAP! Things change

  17. As I said, I don't like the policies either, but it's not just about racism and hating whites. How many people do you know from any of the ads posted, period? That's a pretty funny/awkward demand for evidence. The four groups, including women and people with disabilities. You don't think women or people with disabilities can be white? Ironic considering how easily you were just proven wrong. Stop putting your "REEEee!" before the facts. 🙃

  20. the reason that we have considered homeschooling is not religious. It has to do with current public schools being so data driven and so solely focused on the result of a test and not the process. Our son has some issues and so a bit of a square peg in a round hole. This idea that public schools are focused more on teaching kids about trans, gays, etc than actual reading, math, science is nothing but exaggeration. I have observed one of his classes... not a single mention of it in the classroom. Yes, there was one poster in the hallway.. one of many.

  21. Sure they will. They just won't let your kid do it without telling you till your 16 because they have this crazy notion that parents should be aware of their kids health issues. Pffft - so transphobic.

  23. There you go again. This thread is not about Biden. Donald Trump confessed to multiple Federal felonies, each carrying a 10-year sentence, on Fox News. He confessed. You know you can’t defend it, so you reply with a bunch of childish Biden memes. The memes “piling up” don’t make Trump innocent of the 71 felonies he’s been ARRESTED for. YOU ARE NOT CAPABLE OF DEFENDING TRUMP’S CRIMES. YOU CAN’T DO IT. You aren’t smart enough or educated enough to even try. I started a thread to discuss his possible legal defenses and you couldn’t come up with any. TRUMP IS A CRIMINAL TRUMP IS GOING TO PRISON

  26. That's not how it works bud. The affirmative action language in government type positions has been around for as long as I've been of employment age. Strangely, whites still get hired. I can guarantee you that if you "called and asked", they'd not confirm your "whites only" claim. The only person being dishonest here is you. Whether or not it's intentional, or you're just not reasonable on this topic, is the only question. For the record, I'm largely against affirmative action like what's being described here. Last time I called CRA I had to ask for a French operator because the woman I got could barely speak English and was rude when I didn't understand her and kept asking her to repeat herself. French is very much my second language but I had an easier time speaking to the Francophone than with the unintelligible immigrant. 😑

  29. And maybe you're just full o' shit. Its obvious that the public school systems have been failing for a long time now. Case in point; robo-bot claims to have 2 degrees. Its also obvious that you Libbies are focused on centralization of everything, including education. And while Libbies howl about homeschooling, I suspect their real gripe is with Charter schools, which outperform public schools by a wide margin.

  30. I browsed it. Two points: 1. (Intended point) The earlier "leak" that Trump "wanted" to attack Iran is called into doubt, although not completely. The US has, famously, "plans" to invade every country including Canada. So Trump's defence is thin as usual. But we can recall that secrets can never be fully substantiated as the evidence can be shown. 2. (Unintended) the tape is legitimate and therefore Trump's defences about the documents seem to be falsehoods.

  31. Never once said to eliminate cash. I said "society has chosen to use credit and debit cards vice cash. ". Case in point, PetroCan, this past 4 or 5 days has lost tons of business because it's credit and debit capability has been hacked. They could only accept cash and most folks did not have it so, they went somewhere else for their gas. Yes, cash is in circulation but, seems most people use debit or credit.

  36. So you had a few classes on many different types of religions, much like the rest of us, but thats not what we are talking about here...this is about more than a few classes... where any of them mandatory, did you break any human rights by skipping one of those classes, did your province make it a legal requirement you attend... I think a better example of all this , would be when a certain member here preaches about religion, and some how references it to every topic, people get tired of here it... i think every member on here has told this person the same thing over and over again... most on here have reached their LGBTQ limit... we all get it you want to be a pink unicorn then fine... have a great time doing so...but as soon as you drag me into your fantasy then thats when i have a problem...

  37. Facts like there were people here first that weren't white? Facts like the 'white' people brought Chinese & E Indian indentured workers and black slaves with them? Facts like the 'non-whites' couldn't vote, hold office or even had to pay a head tax? Facts like the entire BS of a 'white heritage' is absurd as Europeans are from so many differing cultures and skin tones that there's little in common. That the common usage of "white" = "Aryan"?

  39. After all that random word barf I'm surprised that you knew enough to spell 'schooling' with a ch instead of a k. You obviously didn't get far in school though. Buddy, I can tell from that one paragraph alone that you didn't even graduate HS. At least not in an English-speaking country anyways. You're the last person on this site, aside from maybe Contrarian (not even Grammarly can fix his pidgin English), who should be calling other people uneducated. OMG your posts are good for a laugh. 1) How did people who started home-schooling recently become 40 so quickly? You know that you're talking about people who graduated 22 years ago, right? (WTF was I thinking? Of course you don't know what 40-18 is...) Were RWers home-schooling their kids 20+ years ago to prevent them from being indoctrinated by woketards? 2) If you wanna act like you're in a position to mock others for their lack of intelligence/education, try throwing a few commas where they belong. It makes you look like less of an idjut.
