  2. Nope. The Cultural Marxist migration happened. Try what you're always expecting everybody else to do for you and look it up. The evidence of Progs existing (like AOC as a minor example) and what they're about is available to anybody who wants to look around. And the chaos these two poisonous ideologies have wrought is well documented by anybody with eyes and ears who's willing to watch and listen. As to listening to both sides, take your own advice for once and try it.

  3. 1. Was that under Harper? PP was a minister I guess? 2. This is a discussion board, not a board where we repeat the campaign messages. Trudeau was PM during arguably the biggest crisis since WW2. We did relatively well. I can say that AND still not say he was a great PM. But let's talk plainly on here, PLEASE. Comparing his achievements to Poilievre is ridiculous. Still, it doesn't mean he'll win or that we should vote for him.

  4. Based on what? He's been an opposition MP his whole life, so his only achievement in the service of Canada is complaining about the government.

  5. 100% of migrants going through Roxham Rd are already in a safe country called the USA, where they're free to make an asylum/refugee claim. It is run by a compassionate Democrat named Joe Biden. The migrants are also free to try to make a legal migrant claim at any Canadian port of entry. These are not victims. Some of them are migrants who aren't refugees and have been given temporary protected status in the US for reasons like hurricanes, earthquakes etc and the US wants to send them home because their time is up but they don't want to go home. Others have made asylum claims in the US and their claims have been rejected because they aren't real refugees but economic migrants. The safe third country agreement exists for a reason: to prevent asylum claim shopping from failed claimants that wastes our resources and time and takes advantage of our systems and compassion. It is not in any way racist or uncompassionate to have these rules. In fact, its freeing resources so real refugees can be processed quicker.

  7. Poilievre has the common touch, a background in economics and is pragmatic - he'll rally against Wokism AND put lots of gays in positions of visibility. Trudeau weathered some pretty big storms for Canada, and can move left or right as the winds of popular opinion demand. But people are sick of Trudeau. Like Obama, the promise of something new never appeared in a significant enough way. And the familiar Liberal sins of tarring all opposition, while manipulating reality and falling into scandal have been providing the same result for 40+ years. The NDPs worse sin is not providing an exciting and viable alternative. Other parties are not electable for various other reasons.

  8. And your brain, or what is left of it, would totally confuse the scientists with their experiments on your brain for decades to come. Putin is not a Russian KGB employee any longer. When Putin came to power, Putin restored the right of the people to worship in a church once again. The church doors were opened up once again. On the other hand, Zelensky in Ukraine decided to shut down all churches and opposition political party's. Sounds like in the Ukraine it is a true bastion for freedom and freedom of speech. Your welcome! My pleasure! I am glad to see that you are enjoying all of my magnificent content that I have been posting here just for lefty liberals like you. I have a lot more of my magnificent contents coming your way just for you. Hope you enjoy. Now go make yourself some popcorn. ?

  9. The mentality of government and bureaucracy is that the highest priority of all they do is to never be held responsible for something going wrong. If that means spending a million dollars to ensure that you don't lose fifty thousand - and get blamed for losing it - then that's considered a good trade.

  12. I never claimed the MFF is specifically for rioters, I said that Kamala was urging people to donate specifically so that they could get rioters out. That's an absolute, indisputable fact, stupid. Just look at her tweet and stop lying just for one second in your worthless life. That's your first lie. There's a video of that hideous skank "GLEEFULLY" proclaiming that the BLM activity would continue for 6 months. If you want to make the case that she is so stupid that she wasn't aware of the violence, looting and destruction, that's probably your best defence, because apparently you're that stupid as well. She also advocated for people to donate to the MFF SPECIFICALLY to help get RIOTERS out of jail. She specifically said in her tweet that teh MFF bail money for people from the riots (she said 'protesters', but she knew that zero peaceful protesters were ever thrown in jail). Listen to you being stupid, hypocritical, and lying again. Trump told protesters to "march peacefully", then when they got unruly he sent 2 or 3 tweets and a video message over the next 3 hrs. Still, retards like you contend that meant he wanted bloody carnage and to overthrow the US gov't. Conversely, Biden made one or two mild calls for peace over the course of several months, but the majority of comments from the Dems and their MSM toadies was "FIGHT THE INJUSTICE! DEFUND POLICE! A BIT OF COLOURFUL PROTESTING IS TO BE EXPECTED!", and retards like you think that those were peaceful, harmless protests and the Dems and their MSM tried to put a stop to the violence. My God you're stupid. They called for peace right before an election and you think they're heroes. The MSM referred to him as the gentle giant, stupid. They also let people come on their shows and call him that, while never letting on that they were aware of his violent crime until well into the rioting. They knew for a fact that he was anything but a gentle giant, and they built up the gentle giant narrative as uch as they possibly could. ALL of the M Brown riots were predicated on the false narrative that "a racist cop drove up on some unarmed teens and just killed one of them for no reason." People weren't rioting because "a violent criminal tried to wrestle a gun away from a cop and then got shot." Even a racist hate monger like Joy Reid wouldn't have tried to use his death to incite violence if the rest of the MSM was telling the truth. Of course it's unsolved. BLM "police" cleared the crime scene of evidence. At least they got there within 6 hrs that time though, they never even got to collect evidence from the first murder scene in CHAZ: https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/everybody-down-what-happened-at-the-chop-shooting-that-killed-a-teenager-and-led-to-the-areas-shutdown/ This is a perfect example of how the MSM treats a murdered black child of no political consequence: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jun/29/chop-chaz-shooting-seattle-police-free-zone There's no heart-warming/heart-wrenching backstory about "a gentle, happy child" or a sad story of a "troubled, impoverished youth..." in either story to stir up emotions, no anger or judgement, no skepticism against the CHAZ police, and the story is riddled with lies in favour of the CHAZites. FYI Chaz didn't start off peacefully at all, it was born of violence, and its 3-week existence was riddled by episodes of deadly violence. If you do the math, two people were killed in that 7-block radius of the country in 3 weeks... that's 0.666 people a week in just a few acres. If all of America's urban areas were that violent, there would be several million people shot and killed every year in the US. And honestly, we both know that you had to look up that kid's name because you didn't know it, and you still know nothing about that kid or his life before the CHAZ cops killed him. Do you know why? Because the MSM can't profit from his death, and politicizing it will do more harm than good to the Dems. A person gets the way I am by refusing to be sucked in by CNN's lies and spin. The fact that you think Kamala was just randomly advocating for that particular bail fund at that exact time, and it had nothing to do with getting rioters out of prison even though she specifically mentioned the protests (riots) in her tweet, proves what a shameless liar and worthless loser you are.

  13. You know who lifted him to the top position of the land? The Papists or Laurentian Elite that live in Quebec, Ottawa and the 905 of Toronto. These goons keep voting for him no matter what he does. He can do no wrong. He and his Liberal Laurentian friends made Canada pay 35 million dollars to bring his false god the Pope to Canada for a public relations exercise to boost the Papal religion. After all, there's less time in the (non-existent) Purgatory for supporting the Papacy financially but they know most Canadians are as dumb as a dodo about these things and won't say boo. It was ostensibly a mission of Reconciliation to aboriginals but in reality a boost for the Papal church at the expense of the taxpayers. The Papal visit was one huge con job on aboriginals who fell for it.

  14. 1. Ok, well you were the one who provided the rationale. Now you're changing it to something that could easily be applied to Poilievre. 2. I already said that I don't support him. You're making him all about the woke and ignoring the pandemic so who's giving perspective of the two of us? 3. You aren't reading my posts. 4. Not a debate if you just keep posting the same thing and don't read my posts.

For like 5 times running now - just horrible. I know some like them so maybe it's just been bad luck but damn.

  21. It's odd that when incompetence of the government is given as the reason for its poor performance the public's competence is often graded as being on par or even worse.

  23. Put the public close enough to the discussions they can hear them and things might change. Sadly, many Canadians who do pay attention are amongst the first to declare the public really has no business sticking it's nose into the government's business.

  24. We do not. We spend far too much time on inconsequential subjects. The last several elections have seen American style diversions into hot-button issues like abortion, guns, gay rights and 'white supremacy' instead of economic improvements. I would suggest you read the article. It's interesting in that they compare Canada to Argentina and show how Argentina was, in many ways, ahead of us a century or so ago, but a series of bad political decisions turned their economic and social fortunes downward over time. Canada seems to have been heading down lately, as well, with little in the way of economic expansion other than what's driven by immigration and the lowest productive growth in the West which is allowing other nations to surpass us one by one.
    1 point
  25. There are a few reasons for that. Canadians have become far too placid with regard to political incompetence, far too accepting of dishonesty, of politicians who blatantly lie to them. They also seem to largely be unaware, perhaps due to a third rate media, of how other nations do things so much better, be it healthcare, public transit, law or education. They don't question why it takes so long to build anything because as far as they know that's just how long it takes. Not many have the time and inclination to devour media stories and articles from around the world. Far too many pay little to no attention to news of Canada.

  26. I would give JT a very low grading on moral and ethical issues and would rate PP higher on some issues such as the economy, law and order, and certain rights, but a failing grade on the abortion issue. I think PP is less of a globalist and less of a Socialist than JT. I am suspicious about JT and Liberal's ties to Communist China and their opposition to the Canadian Forces and failure to properly fund them. But when it comes to voting, I would definitely vote for the Conservatives because there is no other choice. The Conservatives are the least undesirable. I don't trust JT (or liberals for that matter) on anything.

  27. No way. That said I am hopeful we're going to see more of PPs economics background come election time.

  30. I agree Trudeau lack some competence but, to declare Poilievre competent is way premature. It is easy to be in opposition and do nothing but complain, this forum is clear evidence as it is full of those folks. Poilievre has done nothing but be a politician or aid to politicians. It is one thing to be in opposition and pick nits and quite another to make nits. The last 2 conservative leaders are evidence of that.

  33. I always marvel at the desperation Libbies display when defending the 2020 election results. And had Hunter not been such a drugged up wastoid, it would have been impossible to reasonably deny the results. However, Hunter really screwed that one up. https://nypost.com/2022/08/26/2020-election-outcome-would-differ-with-hunter-biden-laptop-coverage-poll/ I remember the more "Tweenkie" inclined Libbies claiming Trump was "Not My President". Well...it appears that Joe Biden is not really anybody's president. And history will be written that way. 'Joe the Usurper'...sound nice? Enjoy the last year of this faux presidency.

  35. What a stupid thread by a stupid person. The President doesn’t have the power to call off am election, genius. But what do you expect from the guy who a) thought the vice president has sole unlimited authority to just ignore an election and declare himself the winner on his own personal private whim. And b) actually WANTED that to happen ilIts also a pretty hilarious comment coming from the anti-democratic right who in addition to 2020 election lies, numerous failed attempts to overturn the election results , Jan 6, etc have also been in open admiration of authoritarians and dictators like Orban and many even supporting Putin.

  41. So this is what you said before: "Thats because very few are willing to go against the current social pressure to provide gender affirming surgery or treatment, right down to pediatricians at times going against their training, even though it has been debunked that such procedures do not dramatically reduce negative outcomes in the community." That's not what the first and third link are saying. The first link is about a dispute between how to treat children with gender dysphoria that is unrelated to LGBT activists or society. I agree that doctors shouldn't be silenced, but this doesn't have anything to do with what you think it does. The second link is from a far-right fake news site, so we're going to ignore that one. The third link is about the importance of listening to people that detransition, which makes up less than 1% of people who transition. The article explained how there was a bit of blowback for this, because fascists use it in their anti-trans propaganda. But it also says the blowback wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. So no, these people aren't being silences by an imaginary woke mob either. As long as fascists use detransition in their propaganda, there will always be skepticism around detransition and people who question the current procedures. But the skeptics are not silencing doctors. Sexual orientation is biological. Gender is a culture that society assigns to people based on biological sex. Sex and sexual orientation are not choices. The culture you choose to be a part of is a choice.

  42. Source? And please don't link me Matt Walsh. No, because race is different from gender. Gender is about self-identity. You can deny reality and pretend it's the same as sex if you want, the same way you can deny reality and say Asians are not human. But in both cases, you'll have to deal with the consequences of your actions.
    1 point
  43. In America, the "other" probably refers to non-binary people. In other countries, it depends what genders the society recognizes. Are you seriously going to do the Jordan Peterson idiocy? How many people have been arrested for misgendering people in Canada? I'll give you a hint. It's less than one. Intersex is a sex category, not a gender category. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_gender How many cultures are there in Switzerland?
