  1. You are correct. You never said the GOP would work towards less inflation, homelessness nor crime. All you threatened was to investigate Hunter... Just like your pea-brained GOP masters, all you've promised is retaliation. I've yet to see a more worthless band of malcontents then all y'all.

  4. The title of this thread pre-supposes there is some elite group that runs the world. It used to be the Elders of Zion (Jews), or the Free masons, Communists, or the Tri-lateral Commission, and the silliest of all- the WEF. Now it is the scary "Globalists." It is hard enough to run a municipal council, let alone the world. As for pandemics, China has been the obstetrics ward for pandemics for thousands of years. Not every pandemic originates in China, (the Spanish Flu started in Kansas and killed more people than the Great War) but with a large population in close proximity to animals, it is favourable for the leap from swine, bats or fowl to humans. Elite groups don't "start pandemics." They happen when a virus jumps from an animal to a human.

  5. The west didn’t start this war, Putin did. Ukraine was already a democracy before Putin invaded Yes USA and the west have done some bad things in their time but that doesn’t automatically make them the root of all all evil and every conflict unjustifiable. Russia is not the good guy here. Just because you oppose police brutality doesn’t mean you have to root for the criminal every time. This war started because Putin invaded Ukraine. If you are really the pacifist you claim to be you should be opposed to his invasion and not want to further reward his violence. Don’t forget we tried the peaceful appeasement approach with him in 2008 when he invaded Georgia and again in 2014 when he invaded Ukraine the first time and his proxy forces even shot down a civilian airliner with hundreds of innocent people on board. Not only did the appeasement not work it encouraged him further. Would you just allow him to gobble up one country after another with no consequences?

  9. @ironstone- I took a look at your links, and ran them through Media Bias Fact check. Both the left/right wing sources do spread misinformation. Brightwork study summary was very poorly written: this makes me doubt it. In any case, the claim that people had other ailments so it couldn't have been covid has been debunked. Those claims are as silly as saying that a senior who died in a car accident died of old age - therefore, car accidents don't really exist. There is no evidence for the claim that millions of health care workers and families all conspired to lie about what their patients/loved ones died of.

  10. "Children are introduced into the medical killing fields by Canadian Virtual Hospice with its Medical Assistance in Dying Activity Book, described as being for children ages 6–12. In it, the child is taught how a person is killed during euthanasia:" Canadian Children's Activity Book Indoctrinates Kids into Euthanasia | National Review Trudeau Gov't Fund Children's Activity Book Promoting Euthanasia (capforcanada.com) "The whole euthanasia agenda is gut-wrenching, morally destructive, and wrong. It not only ends the life of despairing people who are abandoned by the “It’s your choice” deflection, but as this book illustrates, has the potential to seriously impact the emotional well-being of children in the family who watch as their loved one’s killing is discussed, planned, and executed. If I were a kid and that happened to somebody I loved, I’d never want to see a doctor again. Good grief." Where is the CBC or CTV to report on these horrific facts? The truth is they blindly accept whatever the government does along this line and which is immoral and maintain their silence.

  11. Opinion: More needs to be done to contain GG’s extravagance (msn.com) The federal government is scamming Canadians. This is like the 18th century in France before the French Revolution when the Royalty and privileged lived in luxury and the monarch said about the peasants "let them eat cake". While many Canadians are struggling with inflation, the high cost of groceries, the outrageous cost of rent and homes, gas, and everything else, certain people in elite positions in government are abusing the system.

  15. In case you didn't know it, the GG are extremely highly paid. "The current salary is $425,000 and there is a generous pension. Until 2001, Governors-General did not pay income tax on their salary; this was changed after the Queen agreed to pay tax." They get paid this $425,000 per year plus when they leave the position after five years, they get a large annual salary plus they can claim expenses for the rest of their life. I don't see what they do as justifying that kind of money. And why should they get that huge pensions and expenses after leaving office? You really think going around shaking hands with CAF members or school children, etc. is worth $425,000 a year. Or signing new government legislation into law? That must be hard job. Even prime minsters don't get paid that much money. Who gets a pension like that after five years in the job? Nobody.

  16. Can we agree that vax promises went from "It's 100% safe and you won't get infected" to "Over 10,000 serious adverse events due to vaxing in Canada and over 10,000 covid deaths among the multi-vaxed in Canada"?

  17. So again, you've bailed on actually having a substantive discussion on the topic and moved to calling people dumb. This, quite frankly, shows your limited level of intellect. If the discussion gets too complicated for you, you start calling people dumb. ?

  20. Yet you're the one in denial. Let's examine: The Republicans take congress after a historically bad midterm season, where Trumpism was resoundingly rejected. Trudeau has always been an international joke, yet he's somehow significantly up in the polls at Pierre Poilievre's expense. As they closed ranks in 2022 and demonstrated more solidarity than ever, choosing to endure short-term economic hardship in order to thwart Putin's naked aggression. Checking this thread out is always a good laugh (at your expense). We'd make good money betting against your deluded assessments of world events, and your consistently wrong predictions for the future. Everything is going the opposite of how you want and how you say, yet you sit here: I can't wait for your next dopey one-liner. ?

  29. By all means, please do hold your breath. Hold it until I can figure out what you're talking about. It's going to be a while, I think. Evidence of what? That Trump hasn't been charged for anything regarding his tax returns. That was my claim. I'm not interested in what you'd like to believe my claim was. I'm telling you what it was. Trump has not been charged with anything. So you would like me to find evidence of nothing for you then, would you? You do understand why that doesn't make sense, I hope? If you have evidence Trump has been charged for something regarding his tax returns, let's see it. That would be possible...if there was any...but there isn't, because he hasn't been...so it's not.

  30. I think there is more evidence, circumstantial as it may be, that Joe and the rest of the Biden clan are heavily involved in pay to play, kickbacks or whatever you want to call it. Even calling it circumstantial is a stretch by me, since it's pretty well known that members of Biden's family have become exceptionally wealthy thanks to Joe's long time in politics. That's in sharp contrast to the Russia collusion hoax, which was covered almost continuously for a period of years, when there was no evidence that Trump had in any way colluded with Putin. He did not get fair coverage from the MSM with regards to this story, they claimed over and over again, without justification, that he was a Russian agent, Putin's pawn.

  32. Again, I'm going to point out that too many of you have bought into the "unvaccinated = infected" conspiracy theory. It is a lie. You've been duped. It's an astonishingly ignorant belief. Can any of you explain scientifically how someone who is not infected with covid, spreads it? Or why you believe vaccinated people do not spread it?
    1 point
  33. It's almost 100% "distinct possibility" the virus was released or escaped from the WIV. Even the US DoD said so. But some here hypocritically deny *that* as a "distinct possibility" yet accept garbage conspiracy theories such as "only unvaccinated people spread covid."

  34. If it's true that his grandfather wasn't allowed to see anyone except health care professionals than it seems reasonable to assume that's where he would get it. Sounds like he didn't though, likely because the HC professionals were vaccinated and masked.

  35. This report uses a lot of fear-mongering - does that make it reliable? Or should reporters avoid fear-mongering and just report facts? As in "A plan landed in Milan from China, and half of the passengers tested positive for Covid". I'm not saying that a plane full of infected passengers isn't something to be concerned about - it is - but the reporting should be factual, not comprised of scary rhetoric. BTW, how can both "Covid didn't kill that many people - most of them died from other things" and "China is sending out a deadly disease to the world" both be true?
    1 point
  36. OH yeah ... Colin Powell. Blood cancer can be cured, and while Parkinson's will kill, it can take years. The blood cancer made him more susceptible to Covid but to claim that it killed him rather than Covid beggars belief - except by those who deal in conspiracies and misinformation.

  37. Why are you so stupid? A private citizen has a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to defend his/her home with deadly force. This animal tried breaking into a private home. The resident was in fear of her life. A person in fear of his/her life is not executing anyone. It is called SELF DEFENSE. Putting a rabid animal down is NOT murder. Murder is defined as non defensive taking of life, voluntary and with malice. First degree murder adds the element of pre meditation. It is LEGAL SELF DEFENSE. And if you're in the state of Florida and you are planning a home invasion, you might want to think twice. Down here we RESPECT the United States Constitution. And millions of people are moving here every day, so we don't have a problem with killing a few animals who try to break into our homes. Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County warns all future animals not to try any home invasions or car jackings in his county because the citizens are armed and have been told to defend themselves. If you have a problem with that, it's easy. Don't try to break into someone's home in Florida. (Earth to dumb ass. An EXECUTION comes after a murder conviction and millions of dollars of appeals and due process. Try keeping up with the class here, fella.) Nothing in that second post links the CONSTITUTIONAL use of deadly force with some children WHO HAVE ALREADY BEEN MURDERED. How do you protect someone who is already room temperature, thanks to dumb gun laws and a bunch of predatory animals out there? And you liberals wonder why everyone says you're such retards.
