  1. No no... it's because the MEDIA. Get your finger pointing right ? If people don't vote for a guy who has never had a job, whose platform is: "1. F*** Trudeau 2. Freedom 3. Bitcoin" then they're Liberal Marxist Wokists and the media is brainwashing them.

  5. Case in point. I ring the bell, and you drool. "Totalitarian Marxist Socialism Liberal Wokeism" And yet... businesses are free, the wealthy are thriving, taxes are relatively low, speech is almost unregulated, opposition is everywhere. But words. Words. "Mucky Blucky Pizzahead Marxist Socialism"... or whatever FOX feeds you next. We need to alert the mushy middle that there are zombies in our midst using nonsense words and trying to convert them to the cult...

  6. Trudeau will win a 4th term because Canada is verging on totalitarian socialism. There is no opposition to Canada’s woke-green radical loony left.

  7. Right ? It's a pile on of people just repeating buzzwords like "Democrat Marxists" "Wokism" Zero context, zero analysis and generally unprincipled low-intellect contributions... This is why Trudeau will win a 4th term - people can't offer an alternative that rises above name calling...

  8. It's kind of weird for Jagmeet to speak out against "wishing death on people", seeing as he's a religious bigot and known terrorist supporter. And by "known", I mean that the government of India - the most populous nation on earth and a healthy, functioning democracy - considers him to be a terrorist supporter and there are videos of him sitting at a table conducting businesslike meetings with people who are openly talking about using violence to create their own theocratic state (aka terrorists). It's kind of OK though, because his religious bigotry is of a minority variety here??? (TBH, Sikhism is a peaceful religion and the number of Sikhs who are advocating for the use of violence to create their own country is extremely low) I dunno, but every time he opens his mouth, all I hear is hypocrisy and bullshit. It's also weird that a guy who openly supported violent rioting (when other people were being assaulted and murdered, and watching their businesses and communities get destroyed) can't handle a few harsh words directed towards himself. I'm sure that most of the things that were said to him needed to be said, just without the threats.

  9. What Was Canada's Role in World War II Canada, of its own free will, entered the war in September 1939 because it then realized that Nazi Germany threatened the very existence of Western civilization. Almost from the beginning Canadians were in the thick of the fighting—in the air. In that element the Dominion made its most striking contribution to the general war effort. On the outbreak of hostilities, the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan was established in Canada to develop the air forces of Britain, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as of Canada. It was under the direction of the Royal Canadian Air Force, and it cost the Canadian government well over 1.5 billion dollars. Here it may be well to note that Canada’s population is only about one-eleventh that of our country. We have to multiply Canadian figures by eleven, therefore, to get the approximate American equivalent of Canada’s war effort. By 1944, the Royal Canadian Air Force had a strength of more than 200,000. This was only a part of what Canada did in this line, for at the same time nearly half the ground crew personnel and more than a quarter of the air crew strength of the Royal Air Force were also Canadians. The Royal Canadian Navy, which started from scratch in 1939, grew to 700 ships and 95,000 men. This force too was in the fight from almost the beginning. It participated in the daring rescue at Dunkirk, and it took over more and more of the Allied convoy work across the north Atlantic—half of it by 1943 and most of it by the end of 1944. The Canadian army numbered in 1944 about half a million men, five-sixths of whom had volunteered for overseas service. Some of it formed most of the force that suffered disaster at Dieppe in the summer of 1942. Some fought alongside Americans and British in Sicily and Italy. But the main military effort of the Canadians began in June 1944 with the landing on the beaches of Normandy, and continued with the fight across France and into Germany. Canadian units were out in Hong Kong when the Japs attacked it on Pearl Harbor Day, and the Canadian declaration of war against Japan was made the evening before our declaration. A battalion of Canadian troops took part in the landing on Kiska in the Aleutian Islands. Canada did not receive a cent of lend-lease aid from us. Instead of receiving, she supplied it to the United Nations. The total at the end of 1944 was some 4 billion dollars, which is more dollars per capita than our lend-lease contribution. On the economic side, the war placed a more severe strain on Canadians than on us. The average Canadian citizen paid more taxes and, on the whole, was subject to more rigid controls. He knows what the war cost and, let us be frank, he knew it longer than we did. https://www.historians.org/about-aha-and-membership/aha-history-and-archives/gi-roundtable-series/pamphlets/em-47-canada-our-oldest-good-neighbor-(1946)/what-was-canadas-role-in-world-war-ii

  12. 9/11 was an aberration. Beirut was in Beirut. Islamic terrorism as a systemic phenomena of sectarian violence in America began and ended in the Obama era. Eyeball and you both seem to have forgotten this tangential discussion concerned Eyeball's claim sectarian violence was a distinctive thing to Republicans. It wasn't. They didn't even start it. It had its roots in the Obama era and there was much more to it than the American sect of Islamo-Fascism. I went into some of what that entailed. You both seem to want to ignore that so you can make it solely about the Muslims. I feel a squeal and a point coming on... Rac-i-i-i-ist!!! Right? You guys are hilarious in your predictability.

  13. It's sad that lefties are ride or die with a guy like Trudeau. Slings accusations of "racism" at others while bullying minorities, groping women, and wearing blackface more times than one can count. If Liberals had any ounce of integrity (they don't) the guy would've been punted years ago.

  16. You forgot "mostly peaceful." Actually Progressives and their cult of gullibles have a lexicon of what I call "lie labels" that could fill a small book. I've been thinking of offering a separate thread on it. If I get some spare time I just might. People have started to notice what they do with lie labels, so they're doing that thing they do where they accuse the other side of their crime. They're the kid with cookie crumbs all over his shirt and face pointing at his little brother when mom rushes in to the sound of a shattering cookie jar.

  17. Why bother ? Marxism died in the mid 20th century and the last heirs to it transitioned off in the 1990s. Know-nothings will often mix the word Marxist in with others to make things sound scary. It's an illegitimate use of language.

I think...that making shit up like that, just to be used as a club, made up by the fine minds that brought us the Russia Hoax, the Ukraine Phone-Call Hoax, the "Summer of love", and a recent record of being able to do absolutely nothing well, is Gawd_damn stupid! That you seem to think arguing that point is...what...not productive...means that you don't care if this crap goes on, at least. At most, that you condone such childish behaviour.

  19. No, it is a name of a movement that called out a police officer who murdered a man in custody. What evidence do you have that the people who protested hate the US or are marxists. That is like saying if you don't like President Biden, you hate America. If you believe they are marxists, you should consult legal advice as you may have a case of negligence against your political science prof, because you do not appear to have a grasp of what a marxist is. Marxism is dead and has been for thirty years. The perpetrators of the arson and looting were just run of the mill theives and thugs, just like the Sons of Liberty who went around doing the same thing to conservative Americans. Gangs like that always use the cover of protests to commit crimes, whether it is in the US, Paris or Ottawa.

  20. The US is one of the few developed countries in the world with capital punishment. No other country in the Americas has it and only Belarus has it in Europe. Only Egypt, China and Saudi Arabia executed more people than the US in 2019 so obviously that doesn't work either.

  22. The words "New" and "American" are well established and have solid meanings. Libbies wanna warp that to give the paired words a meaning that is asinine. Thus...its not me who is fudging with "labels"...its the Tweenkies. If you are intellectually lazy enough to swallow such horseshit...then its fairly obvious you agree with this warped crap, which also disqualifies you from being taken seriously. Have a warm and fuzzy day.

  23. I used to laugh at Tucker when he was a young, pencil-necked geek on CNN. Now he’s an old, pencil-necked geek on Fox. I agree he’s the best out there, whatever he is. And that ain’t saying much, against a backdrop of totally bought media that surrounds us on all sides. Oh the times we live in... where people can say anything on a platform, and the world has embraced the golden cow. Nothing but political mootivation.

  24. And you are ignoring the idea that some of these states want to go way further than banning the abortion of a somewhat viable fetus. Like declaring life begins at fertilization or banning abortion for Rape and Incest. IVF may be banned because it involves "killing embryos". Women may not be able to abort an unviable fetus because of catastrophic deformities, either. There's a dogmatic and impractical element to both sides of this debate. Most people land in the middle that Abortions should be available for unwanted pregnancies early but shouldn't be used to kill a viable fetus. But both sides of the issue only come at it from the extremes.

As for the discussion about Canadian military contributions to the world wars... We don't need to justify ourselves to anyone...let alone Yankees. In fact...agree with them. "You are correct. Canada is insignificant and had no impact on the wars. You would hate it here...so save yourself and don't come." Have a great day Canada.

  29. Tucker Carlson's greatest appeal is that he's just about the most toxic political commentator on the planet. He's the equivalent to the bully laying a humiliating shit-kicking on someone for the benefit of a crowd that's gathered round and is hollering fight, fight, fight! He's an angertainer whose forte is catering to low-info low-hanging nut-bars.

  30. Everyone should be a nationalist and believe in a strong military to protect their country and like-minded countries. All we have to do is look at the Ukraine and other countries in Europe to know that. A strong military is the best deterrent to people like Putin and his supporters. This has nothing to do with violent rightists. The problem in Canada is the left wing pacifists like the NDP and Liberals who oppose a strong military.

  35. The funny thing is that I don’t really see much here that’s “right”. What’s happened is that we’ve lost the centre completely to the radical left. We’re being told now that it’s wrong to raise boys as boys or girls as girls because gender is a social construct (it’s isn’t: ask a biologist). We’re being told that people are born victims or oppressors and remain this way based on skin colour, sexual orientation, and gender (intersectional determinism). We have lost all sense of reality, for example, the reality that in a free society where people are equal under the law we can overcome barriers through hard work and the application of skill. Once we lose our meritocracy and start rewarding people for superficial reasons like ethnicity, we’re done, because talent will go where it can express itself. Can we really claim that Facebook’s 58 genders are grounded in science? Do we think it’s fine to offer assisted suicide to those who are not of sound mind? Apparently that’s acceptable in Canada. I guess the next step will be killing off those who can’t speak for themselves because the costs of care are high. There are no limits on the timeframe for abortions in Canada. You can have a partial birth abortion of a viable baby the day before the 9 month delivery date. We’ve become a confused society that will kick veterans in the teeth for demanding that Charter rights are protected. We will borrow money we don’t have to pay for programs we can’t afford in order to prop up a self-serving fascistic government (NDP-Liberal alliance), all in a time of high inflation due to government over-spending. We watch our government impose brutal carbon taxes on citizens when gas prices have jumped over 100% in a year. Canadians are lost in a web of radical left wing experimentation. Opposing it or expressing concern about this direction and the policies that support it could take your job and reputation in our cancel culture. The Conservative Party of Canada is barely conservative in any traditional sense of the word. Sadly, we probably won’t get the conservative shift we need just to bring us to centre, because we’ve been indoctrinated to believe that sacrificing the middle to pander to radical interests is “progressive” and good. As a result, the youth are lost and adults are made to feel guilty about listening to their biology and doing what feels normal and healthy.

  38. So how do you feel about the markers that are used to identify and cancel anything left of a conservative these days? Markers that attribute the very worst behaviours to the left as evidenced by oft repeated references to some of the worst mass murderers in history. I'm finding once again a reason to wonder if the left were a race would the right treat it with more respect or less? I'm leaning towards the latter myself. The right's loathing is as intense as it's fear's are mindless.

  40. Del Duca forgot how badly the liberals messed up Ontario then and for the future. He had a horrible debate. Horwath does nothing but complain and promise everything for everyone. Same old, same old. The Green guy forgot that it was not just the Nurses that got a 1% pay freeze with Bill 124. That was his only point (or the one he constantly repeated). Ford actually came out of it relatively unscathed. Best line of the night was Ford telling Del Duca that ""Under yourself and the former premier Kathleen Wynne, you destroyed this province. The economy was going downhill quicker than the Canadian bobsled team." "
