  1. At least Donald Trump had business experience, learning how to take a business down. The first business Mr. Trudeau will send into bankruptcy is- Canada.

  2. Not many people form bonds with other adults that are as close as the ones formed in the military. It's just a fact of life. Humans always need to have close personal relationships with others in order to be healthy, and when young adults leave home to live thousands of miles away, as they do in the military, that need is just way stronger. Throw in the stress of working 100+ hr weeks and [in your case, not mine] the danger of working in the theatre of war/peacekeeping and it's at a crazy level. The need for trust is unparalleled in the civilian world outside of maybe law enforcement. I've had a few good friends from every place that I ever worked but I'm not in contact with many of them anymore. My longest close civilian friendship is about 18 years but I still have friends from the navy that I see when I can. I got out 31 years ago. I'll never stop being friends with those guys.

  3. I had gotten permission from the author (who posted this in another forum) to copy paste his thought-provoking opinion regarding what he observes and how he feels about his homeland. How many silent Americans feel this way, I wonder? I never dreamed that I would have to face the prospect of not living in the United States of America, at least not the one I have known all my life. I have never wished to live anywhere else. This is my home and I was privileged to be born here. But today I woke up and as I had my morning coffee, I realized that everything is about to change. No matter how I vote, no matter what. I say, something evil has invaded our nation, and our lives are never going to be the same. I have been confused by the hostility of family and friends. I look at people I have known all my life--so hate-filled that they agree with opinions they would never express as their own. I think that I may well have entered the Twilight Zone. We have become a nation that has lost its collective mind! You can't justify this insanity: • If a guy pretends to be a woman, you are required to pretend with him. • Somehow it’s un-American for the census to count how many Americans are in America. • Russians influencing our elections are bad, but illegals voting in our elections are good. • It was cool for Joe Biden to "blackmail" the President of Ukraine, but it’s an impeachable offense if Donald Trump inquires about it. • Twenty is too young to drink a beer, but eighteen is old enough to vote. • People who have never owned slaves should pay slavery reparations to people who have never been slaves. • People who have never been to college should pay the debts of college students who took out huge loans for their degrees. • Immigrants with tuberculosis and polio are welcome, but you’d better be able to prove your dog is vaccinated. • Irish doctors and German engineers who want to immigrate to the US must go through a rigorous vetting process, but any illiterate gang-bangers who jump the southern fence are welcome. • $5 billion for border security is too expensive, but $1.5 trillion for “free” health care is not. • If you cheat to get into college you go to prison, but if you cheat to get into the country you go to college for free. • People who say there is no such thing as gender are demanding a female President. • We see other countries going Socialist and collapsing, but it seems like a great plan to us. • Some people are held responsible for things that happened before they were born, and other people are not held responsible for what they are doing right now. • Criminals are caught-and-released to hurt more people, but stopping them is bad because it's a violation of THEIR rights. • And pointing out all this hypocrisy somehow makes us "racists"?! Nothing makes sense anymore - no values, no morals, and no civility. People are dying of a Chinese virus, but it's racist to refer to it as Chinese even though it began in China. We are clearly living in an upside down world where right is wrong and wrong is right, where moral is immoral and immoral is moral, where good is evil and evil is good, where killing murderers is wrong but killing unborn babies is AOK! Wake up America, the great unsinkable ship Titanic America has hit an iceberg, is taking on water, and is sinking fast. Speak up!

  4. You assume alot probably because you're an ass. I'm not an "investor" I'm a foster kid that dropped out of high-school (went back in my late 20s) worked hard,. opened my own business (actually on my second one now). Both with profit sharing for everyone that worked there I got no discount and still put some money into the building. What do you mean find an apartment for that price in my neighborhood, it's the one I rent right above me Who's leeching? Again if you don't have your finances in order, don't get mad at others because they actually worked for what they have

  5. Omicron really isn't where the Anti-Vaxxers should be spiking the football. Broad vaccination is likely what's keeping Omicron from causing more damage. The jury is still out on this, but early signs are that Omicron likely won't cause severe illness in most people. If ICU occupancy does spike, it will be instructive to see the ratio of vaxxed to unvaxxed. I was saying this to MH in another forum, but I think much of the unvaxxed are younger and likely won't experience severe illness. I still think restricting the unvaxxed from certain indoor gatherings is a good thing. Especially with Omicron that will infect anyone who's in a room with an infected person. We're hearing that N95 masks are the only thing that will stop an Omicron infection.

  6. As expected, this non-issue has been covered by nobody and is not known to the general public. I would say nice try, but it wasn't nice and barely a try.

  8. Damn Skippy it is, and while politicians from both sides have had their wing nuts, nothing compares to Justin reign. I find conservatives to have better morals, values, they are willing to balance social programs with need not want. and everything out of their months are not lies or deceit ... Why does that bother you ? , is it nessicary for me to like you. And your right, the bond i have with my comrades in arms is a strong one, they are family. And we look after each other the best we can... is that what bothers you... or is it i don't care much for the average Canadian, i wonder why that is ? I remember you and other spouting off about all kinds of things that you had no idea about, shit you were even to research some of it on goggle...don't you worry alot of Canadians think the same way as you do...like you actually contributed something. "WE" did not cock anything up in Afghanistan, that you can put at the feet of the governments of the time, and their supporters, that would be you and your gang Skippy, after public opinion had took a drastic turn, the taps where turned off, like they were ever turned on in the first place...while our soldiers carried this mission on their backs alone what was it Canadians did again...Ya they whined like someone was tearing out finger nails... Well we gave them 13 years without the Taliban, we built a dam for hydro power, paved hundreds of kms of highways and trade routes, we built millions of new wells so they could have clean drinking water, and countless other things, and when the taps where turned off, soldiers bought out of their own pockets ambulances, fire trucks, we built schools, extended hospital wings with more room and beds, ya we cocked things up but we left Afghanistan better than when we found it... Again you don't know what your talking about, currently Canadian vets are actively working to find as many Afghanis in Afghanistan that worked for us during the conflict, and smuggling them out, every cent for this adventure is paid out vets pockets , private donations and soldiers pockets, .....while our federal government is still trying to find its ass...what did you do again... yes you want me to stop whining, and forget completely a conflict long past it's time... that would be easy as you have nothing invested in Afghanistan do you....and I will once our nation steps up and truly returns benefits we once had, and upgrades other benefits so we have the same level as any other Canadian I'll stop, so sit down it's going to be awhile....

  12. 1) Yes, you are supporting him. He's a serial scammer and he's exerting undue control over the media and the judiciary. He's going for more control over social media all the time. His gestapo are even beating people up for getting too close. And don't act like it's no big deal either. If Trump's secret service did that to Jim Acosta it would have been national news for months. The media skewered Harper for 3 years because of $90K Duffygate, which turned out to be duffynothingburger. SNC Lavalin is only 2 years old if you can believe it. 2019. When was the last time you heard about SNC Lavalin on CTV or CBC? When was the last time CTV or CBC said "Michel Fournier"? FYI Trudeau created a law which was solely intended to benefit the company that bribed Michel Fournier to get a bridge contract. Trudeau is limiting the investigations into his corruption. The WE scandal was even more recent. His mom received $300K from WE and approximately $140K in expenses from them. That's a lot of expenses for public speaking, don't you think? How much does it cost to fly an old whore around and get her some hotel rooms. She probably stays in other people's rooms for free anyways. 2) Who got the money MH? Show me the list of who got how much of the $1.4B that Trudeau gifted them. If you don't have that then you don't have a point at all - you're just running cover. 3) You might think that the government doesn't have controlling interest, but then you'd be wrong. Trudeau f'd up absolutely every aspect of fighting covid for the entire 2 years and you never heard a single bad word about a single thing that he did. He had to poach vaccines from the 3rd world charity pool ffs, most Canadians still have no clue. 4) Your answer is unsupported by facts MH. You haven't said an effective word in defence of any of your arguments. You have no facts so you resort to insults. That's the hallmark of leftist politics, but you pretend to be a conservative lol. By not acknowledging the serious drift of Canadian politics towards authoritarianism you're supporting it. I never advocated for force against Trudeau, I just pointed out the exasperating level of stupidity of the Canadians who keep on electing him. Nothing gets done without consensus. You can attack the gov't yourself if you want, but it will be called terrorism.

  15. 1. So by pointing out that Trudeau isn't actually a dictator I am supporting him. My God, you are a kool-aid drinker. Do you know how that sounds. 2. The National Post got it too - are they soft on Trudeau ? 3. 'Controlling Interest' has a very specific meaning and the government does not have that, or they would have squelched stories from the G&M and National Post that made the Liberals look bad. 4. Neither did Trudeau. These are the posts of a hyperventilating teenager. 'By not calling Trudeau a dictator you are supporting him' ... Why do you come to a site to discuss politics when you think the person who won the election should effectively be removed by force ? If I thought we were actually under a dictatorship I would be taking action, not going on a website to tell Michael Hardner he's a bad man...

  16. Yeah Biden doesn’t inspire. Obama had Clinton’s ability to rouse the crowds. Trump could be quite passionate. Biden is too bleak.

  17. 1. Find something on here that shows me supporting Trudeau. There is no media buyout, learn what words mean. 2. No your cognitive misfires... I don't like Trudeau for the Conservatillionth time... 3. Oh FFS. Stop wetting your pants... People used to call Bush and Harper Nazis and Trudeau a Commie... just take a breath. Learn to use more accurate words, I don't know. Stop hyperventilating.

  18. Those are NOT top issues for me. Lack of military spending and fiscal prudence are my issues. I don't know if Canadians really believe in the climate nonsense or not. Cost of living is a result of bad banking policy the world over, where central governments print money to prime pump the economy. Get rid of the Federal Reserve and Bank of Canada. Don't let banks lend out 10 times what they have in reserve.

  19. 1. Then Hemingway is an artsie fluff. He never met a Zuckerberg. Radio stars in his day made the equivalent of $200K a year from their contracts. He couldn't conceive of an Oprah. 2. Rich means you can buy a nice car. Wealth means that you can buy government and restrict my freedom. Doug Ford's friends can convince him to reduce control of nursing homes. They are so free that they can lock the elderly in their rooms. Are you starting to understand yet Auguste? There are no Gatsbys in 2021.
