  1. My sister is 2 1/2 months since her last jab and she is still barely able to work. She was off work for a week with the first jab, off for 2 weeks with the second. Now having crippling migraines, body aches, racing heart, nausea.....they are telling her NOT to get any boosters. But no one wants to hear about any of those people.

  2. Before you criticize a politician, are you willing to put your life on hold for two years, spend 80 - 100K on a nomination and campaign to come in second?

  3. Good thing you aren't in charge of anything.

  4. No one is taking away your rights. You want to make choices without being responsible for the consequences of those choices or their consequences for others. Grow up, life doesn't work that way. Society has to respect your right to make choices but it sure as hell doesn't have to cater to them. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/emergency-covid-triage-alberta-1.6178253 https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/bc-alberta-covid-reaction-1.6179099

  5. Blanchet has every reason to defend what he is. The world does not lack for children, It lacks for educated children. ==== Canada (like Norway, Sweden, Russia) is a cold country. Lazy/ignorant people don't live here. They move south. As Margaret Atwood said: We survive.

  6. hence why support taking away their rights for a false sense of security it's all about revenge for not behaving the way you want them to you think that is grounds to treat them like scum, all while you claim false moral high ground

  7. Canada, like Norway, is cold for half the year. Florida is warm and it never rains in southern California. Or some girl told me.

  8. The NDP have a sense of humour, criticizing Trudeau for calling an election during the pandemic while forgetting NDP Premier Horgan of BC did the same thing. So did (conservative) Premier Moe in Saskatchewan. I believe the Grits called the election because they have to bring in some tough budget measures and they wanted to get the election behind them.

  9. Those numbers are blatantly false, and everything after that is just idiocy But why quote the article about Albertas imminent health care collapse if you’re just going to ignore it and rant about imaginary hordes of illegal immigrants? Its quite clearly stated in every source that the unvaccinated make up the majority of hospital cases.

  10. What about getting a shot every six months? That's the way the data is leaning right now when you look across the water. You missed the main point. The fact you are claiming is true at the start but immunity has shown to wane. Even in the Under 50 group in the UK the numbers are starting to shift. From July 21 to July 5, the cases in that in that period were 62.41% unvaccinated. In the period between Aug 15 to Aug 29 that same number is 41.94%. Looking at the same group over the same period, the hospitalizations have gone from 65.47% to 55.42% and the deaths have gone from 83.33% to 65.85%. The rates for double vaccinated people have mirrored this by starting low and trending up. This is only data from a 2 month period. I am curious how these numbers are going to look in 4 months or 6 months. This was why Israel opted for boosters after 6 months. A few points of discussion on this: 1. 85% of the cases in the UK for Delta (to date) have been with the under 50 group so it should be expected that group will have higher hospitalization numbers. They also have only 8% of the deaths even with these high numbers which is again indicative of your comment on age and health in general. 2. Both the over 50 and under 50 groups have shown a downward trend in immunity but they differ in the timing. This is explained by the fact that the over 50 group got their vaccine shots first. 3. The numbers from the UK don't show any relation to pre-existing conditions but we know that's a factor. The Alberta website had a pretty good graphic on this for all Covid cases that showed 80% of hospitalizations and 97% of deaths were with people who had pre-existing conditions. If this is even somewhat true then our approach needs to be and should have been to educate these people that because of their condition that they need to be vaccinated and are getting vaccinated regularly (every 6 months) as well as the elderly. If we were to achieve this then hospital numbers would be manageable and we could truly reopen.

  11. It was predicted for two decades that an epidemics like this is coming. What has been done? Where have the billions evaporated, like most recently "rapid Covid response fund"? And now of course the show. Hands strung in the air, tears in honest eyes, aiiii! myyyy! drums, fanfare not to worry, just keep marching and don't you worry where we know as always. How familiar, and the same heartwarming pathetically clueless honesty. Sure the populace can be entertained and even buy in sometimes but what about the virus, climate change and other such problems? Will they heed and make a concession for honest simplicity? (with a fancy cottage on a fancy lake though and no contradiction why!) Maybe they will and why shouldn't we hope?

  12. How can you help to those who are deliberately blind and deaf, by choice and desire? 1. Vaccinated can be infected and transmit the infection. 2. Non vaccinated can be diligent and careful and avoid the infection with high confidence. In addition, they may have have recovered or were in an earlier contact with it, and have as strong protection against it, as from vaccine. Both are confirmed facts, impossible to deny. But does it affect the muzak and the march in any way?

  13. Canada is not taken seriously by anyone with TrootOWE at the helm. The Canadian PM is customarily the first foreign leader to be consulted and introduced by a new US President. This has not been the case for two Presidents in a row now.
