This funny ad by Pierre Poilievre had my eyes rolling, and laughing at the same time. Obviously, he is a good communicator and has energy. He seems smart and decided. I saw many of his interventions when he was questioning -sorry assassinating- Justin at We Charity hearings, and he is just like in this ad. There's just something that feels quite odd; this ad reflects exactly what is wrong with the CPC, and why they haven't taken power since 2015. The message of his advertisement was strictly economical, talking about our beloved God, money, and how he will make ourselves rich rather than credit card broke like his to-be-predecessor Trudeau leads us all to be. I think this is off a Canadian market target, but would fit more in the US. Would you vote for him? I would, because I'm a Tory, but I don't think he will suffice to convince soft Liberals to vote for him.

Yeah, I've got a townhouse that's gone up exponentially in value, but it makes me nervous and it doesn't feel right. And, while on paper it looks good, what can I do with that equity? I can't sell and trade up, because all other properties have also increased exponentially. My mortgage is pretty low, even though I've borrowed against the equity for some renos, and I'd like to keep it that way in case of a severe downturn. So it does kind of feel like false wealth; I'd be a lot more comfortable if the increase had happened more slowly and wasn't so high.

The housing prices in major Canadian cities have skyrocketed absolutely crazy so that a single incomer even with highest education and years of work experience cannot afford to buy even a small house. This is hardly real prosperity but fictitious prosperity.

Sure, there are Canadians and Canadians. Let's examine the line we've been hearing so often though, factually and objectively. Input: average wage in Canada, 2020 is $54,000. Let's take out of it the earnings of the top 1% that do nothing except inflating GDP as average Canadian isn't that likely to be an MP, public minister, private or public CEO or win a million prize lottery. Let's say $50,000 after adjustment. This is a realistic number I know recent university grads in a professional work with similar salary and about a half of Canadians has university education, not average yet. Assume a one-income family with one child. With that income there will be tax, estimated at around $10,000 federal, provincial, CPP, EI and other. Down to around $3,500 monthly. Now, a one-bedroom apartment in a city may go these days up to $2K and above. Let's be conservative and say, $1,600 also realistic. Down to under $2K monthly. Food and basic supplies for a family of three, $1K. Mobile plans, Internet, some streaming or cable. Transit pass, around $100 or more. Car 2-3 times that. Major purchases, several hundred. Occasionally buying food at work. Personal care. Occasional coffee. And that's it we're done! A hobby? Overseas or longer in-country vacation? Pension and savings contributions? After school sports programs, can go in the hundreds monthly? Part-time university education program ($6,000 annually)? Car loan? Mortgage? No way. Is it even called "prosperity" in your book? In mine, it basic sustenance aka survival level in this century. Doing the logic: single-income family standard in the 1950-70s + "steadily rising prosperity" = what? So how did we buy into this steadily perpetuated fairy tale? Whose prosperity has been rising steadily? What Canadians? Single-income prosperity for average Canadians? Check, no longer possible. Own you place dream? Check, gone from this generation. What's next? And what will be the destination?

Under the cover of covid fear, Biden's main campaign strategy was to let CNN and the rest of the MSM use their 'news programming' as 24/7 attack ads on Trump, backed by 'polling data', while he hid in his basement, mumbling pre-recorded elevator speeches every third day. The media sold his hiding as: "Biden is setting a good example by hiding from covid! He doesn't have to answer any questions from us because we love him no matter what!" At the same time Trump's fearlessness and dedication to his job in the face of a bit of danger was labelled "COVID RECKLESSNESS & A DANGEROUS EXAMPLE!!!!!" while somehow 24 yr old ER nurses with nothing to fear from C19 were branded as heroes by the media for just showing up to their jobs. The 2020 election differed greatly from other election in that Americans could normally get a sense of how much support each candidate had by the number of people showing up at their rallies, but in 2020 that was not the case at all. The only indications that Biden had any support at all came from polling sites and CNN's opinion desk. He averaged 100 or less people per 'rally', despite the fact that he only had 1/5th as many rallies as most presidential candidates have. A grand total of about 10,000 people in the whole country came out to see Biden - the silence was deafening. And despite the fact that he had so much time at home, he didn't even bother to do any social media. He just hid. "Heroically" Ironically, in an age where candidates have more opportunity than ever to show their face to the public (almost for free when you consider the cost of social media), Biden was a ghost. Americans saw less of Biden's incoherent, mumbling face than they saw of any candidate since the guys on their dollar bills, who ran before TV was invented. Honestly, all we have to indicate to us that Biden really won the election was some mass mail-in ballots, some polling 'data', and CNN's opinion. And just remember that CNN spent all 4 years from 2016 to 2020 saying that the 2016 election was completely fraudulent, and yet for some reason they were confidently certifying the 2020 election fraud-free by 10 pm on election night 2020. How did a company that was as deeply skeptical of elections as CNN for 4 years suddenly become believers well in advance of the 2020 results if they weren't told to say that in advance? Regardless of whether people believe that the 2020 election actually was stolen, it's a pretty dangerous precedent to set by allowing a candidate to be elected on nothing more than the strength of polling data, media opinions and mail-in ballots. Hollywood can just declare the next president every 4 years if that's the case.

There is one way to benefit. Sell the property and move to Haiti or another similar republic, where property prices are low and cost of living is bearable. (I know, I know, not that easy and doesn't work again)

Except for those of us, in great togetherness, whose entitlements are automatically tied to the inflation. What, your salary and / or pension isn't, that's just too bad but not to worry take joy in the number that says it's rising (somewhere... for someone).

Picking a party based on media celebrities designed and managed for ridings thousands of kilometers away is like picking a bride – also created thousands of kilometers away – from the Internet. It’s crazy! The best representation for every riding is a problem-solver already living in and contributing to the riding. That person would know the people, the problems, and could understand arising situations better than one chosen to represent a party to the riding. Such an MP would, through local consultation, solve problems through knowledge and experience, not cut-and-paste textbook solutions. There would be no fail-safe position (the party made me do it) for anyone not following through as agreed. Canadians need to act now to replace the modern equivalent of town-criers with a proper, well-informed, well-intended representative. Independents could cooperate without a party structure or a whip. While their voice may be small to start, at least it wouldn’t always be in compliance with the party powerful.

Logic behind the vaccine seems circular to me. Let’s step back a bit. - Majority of people survive covid, but they are still vectors or carriers that might transmit to others who are weaker. - The vaccines reduce level of illness for the individual, but they are still possible vectors. So vaccine is helpful, but don’t see why they should be mandatory, or why a vaccine passport is needed. Vaccinate the sick and elderly, and anyone who wants it. Leave others the heck alone!

I agree with you that for the home owners it may appear as prosperity but even that is fictitious as their home value has gone up artificially and can come down back again any time. Home is not a kind of equity like cash in savings account that one can use to have prosperous life like travelling, buying furniture, appliances, eat in expensive restaurants, etc, unless they wish yo borrow against home equity and spend but as i said that brings over only fictitious prosperity as loans have to be paid back and when the crash comes then they will be in big trouble.

All is not lost however, as long as we maintain a clear vision of what is Canada. I’m for being more accommodating. Just build more washrooms and ensure they’re safe for anyone to use. Walking around naked in a washroom is generally considered uncool, no matter who it is or what genitalia they may have. I have never seen nor heard of it in my life. I like the “Family” washroom concept. Let it be for people with children. In other words the child and their caretaker. Private stalls, Hopefully no one will take offence to that. All other adults whether they be male, female, trans, etc. have to use a different room.

In biopsychology there's a well-known experiment: lab rats were given a tap with a lever that pumped sugar mix a dollop per squeeze. First rats were careful squeeze lick and run, wait for another turn. Then they saw there's no catch and no limit the squeeze became non-stop and the animals got grotesquely out of shape due to non-stop feeding and lack of exercise. The writing is on the wall, the system has broken free of all bounds, moral, common sense, reality itself, it's not controlled by anything, can't be sustainable and so will collapse at some point. Too bad for us that it will collapse the last, after hospitals and schools, but OK that's how we made it. Or didn't make and just slept through while it made itself if it would make a grain of difference for the outcome.

Why do we not see comrade democrat Maxine Waters running around and trying to invoke the 25th amendment of the US constitution on Joe Bidumb? The guy is obviously losing his dumb mind.
