The Return Of Coal
Nationalist replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Correct. I didn't do more than quickly scan your post. In fact, I rarely read or even look at most of your drivel. Between advanced scrubbing tech and carbon capture and storage, coal generators are actually quite clean now. In fact, they can now be used to reverse localized soil damage. But that's all gravey to me. The truth is, there will be more electricity generated and the idea drives you Tweenkies lulu. That's enough for me. -

Why Are NGOs Still Operating?
Nationalist replied to Nationalist's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
An NGO gives money to a group of "protestors". The protestors show up with blocks of cement and proceed to throw them off bridges at people. Its is evident these "protestors" have illegal intentions. Yet that same NGO continues to fund them. Thus, guilty of promoting violence against the the people. Proper process didn't seem to be very important to you while you Libbie lawfare was going on. Now you want proper process? Pfft...so typical. -

Poilievre vs Carney: Critical Issue
Michael Hardner replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well this is plainly said and arguable. But the thing that needs addressing is how the public sphere produced such an unCanadian character as Poilievre. To me, it was the emergence of the Culture of the Comments, ie. Internet comments... Brash, Unapologetic, Strident... It appeals to those who want to preach back at the preachers. It takes down the intelligentsia of the past generation, and expands the public sphere. Whatever supplants it will need to respond to it and incorporate it. -
Grok falsely accused two officers of being involved in the case. One of them had left Hampshire Police at the time of the event. She is in hiding now. https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/jun/03/former-officer-hampshire-hiding-after-being-falsely-linked-henry-nowak-arrest The notion that the large social media outfits aren’t publishers is becoming increasingly difficult to sustain. At the very least they should be held to account for what is alleged by their AI assistants.

Poilievre vs Carney: Critical Issue
SpankyMcFarland replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
There’s always tension between what the base wants and what policies will bring a win. The Tories have gone too far right both in policy and tone with Poilievre and that has put off a lot of potential voters. As long as the NDP remains a shadow of its former self Carney can keep a wide coalition going. -

He was not a physical aggressor. He took shelter from the rain in an opposing team's tent. He also refused to leave. That's not being an aggressor. The guy to assaulted him was, apparently, MUCH bigger--83 pounds heavier. And accompanied by his twin brother and other teammates. So Anthony was rather dramatically outmatched and outnumbered. Again, understand that he had a legal right to be there and no duty to retreat, and did not initiate any physical confrontation--and in fact warned the bigger guy against attacking him. His presence might have been annoying, but it wasn't illegal. We have seen people get off over and over again in scenarios like this (and far worse) under SYG laws. The deceased shouldn't have initiated a physical confrontation. I don't see it reported anywhere that he left the tent and then returned with a knife. That seems to be false. All reports I'm seeing are that he had the knife in the backpack all along. 4 of 6 students who were the deceased student's teammates, right? They asked him to leave, but he had no obligation to comply. And the deceased had no right to escalate to a physical assault. They could have been chill and chatted with Anthony. They could have ignored him. They could have flagged down an adult/authority. What they ultimately did (assaulting Anthony) was a kid thing to do, but clearly the wrong thing. And yes, I absolutely and unequivocally think that you people will view and react to this incident differently because the killer is Black. You people prove over and over again that your racial biases override your logic.

Dude it's really weird when you quote yourself. In any case, both biden and obama did exactly that, used the intelligence/police and courts to go after political opponents. So lets not pretend it's new with trump. In fact when those two were doing it people like me were saying "you shouldn't accept this because when the republicans get back in they're going to use it against your guys and you'll have no room to complain when that day comes. That day has come Sorry .

Based on what evidence, what exactly do you mean knowingly How? You need proper legal investigations, charges and prosecutions to obtain convictions. What's your plan for getting these? -

I love when they patch a wall and you are waiting to see if it will match perfectly or not. When they use the paint matching scanners, it is the most tense and suspenseful television since NPR aired the debate on horned swallow nesting habits. -
